Thank you. I've always been a Windows fan, but I recently bought an m1 Macbook and am very impressed. Learning to use Mac has had its challenges so far, but the hardware of my Macbook has made it worth the switch. These shortcuts are super helpful. Cmd+x does not cut in MacOS, but there is a way to cut and paste! To cut from one folder, you use the same Cmd+c to copy, but when you are pasting you have to use Cmd+Opt+v. This will paste the copy while removing from the original source (like Ctrl+x on windows)

One of my suggestions is don't buy a bunch of Apps to try to make the Mac into Windows.
For quitting, if an app CAN have multiple windows open, closing the window won't close the app (Safari). If there's only one window for an app (System Preferences) it will close the app.
Also, Finder > Preferences > Advanced. Check Remove items from trash after 30 days.
Shift command 4, hover over window and press the space bar. It will highlight a window. Click on it and it takes the shot of the window with drop shadow.
Keyboard shortcuts are in the menus too.
At the top of a window, command click on the folder or file and it will show the path below the name.
Every new macOS there are people griping about it.

First thing I did is change my mouse so I can right click as I did in windows. Also, I pinned the screenshot app to my doc 🙌🏼

Keeping track of the keystroke shortcut conventions gets more fun when you're running a WIndows 10 virtual machine inside VMware Fusion on a Mac ... pop into the Windows window, Ctrl C, switch to Mac app, Command V ... unfortunately, virtual machines on M1 Macs are an issue, so I'll listen to the fan on my Intel MacBook Pro for a while...

Honestly I think I learned more about Windows with QuickLook and Win+V than I did Mac stuff, and I've used both systems for years now. Wild the little things you do and don't pick up over the years

Same! I don’t even own a Mac. I’m just figuring out if I want to switch over 😅

@@mcanny12 honestly if you can afford to, having both for a bit is not a bad idea. Easing your way into the Mac world isn't too bad, and they definitely have their pros to windows

I never knew that you could hit "function + delete" and it would "forward delete". And I've been using Macs for years! Thanks for the great videos, Sara...

I scanned some comments and didn't see anyone say it but someone might have. If you want something like stacks for your Windows desktop computer, definitely look into Fences from Stardock, it does something very similar and is well loved!

I wish I could switch cmd and ctrl in macOS for everything but a terminal... (i.e have the normal Ctrl+C for copy, but in the terminal still be able to use Ctrl+C for cancelling an operation... basically I pretty much never want to have to use cmd)

OMG I just stumbled upon this! I just got my first MacBook Pro after being a primarily iPad user for my personal computer. It's awesome how much iPad borrows from macOS but that I didn't realize 😅 So cool! Makes using the two very seamless. Thank you for this video!🥰

Very helpful, thank you. I bought my first Mac about a year ago but pretty immediately chickened out and just used Windows on bootcamp most of the time. Trying to go full MacOS now...
