I honestly feel the same. I’ve been bullied in person and online, and I don’t feel like online bullying is as big of an issue as in person bullying. To me, if they actually feel that way, they would say it to my face, so if people text rude messages, it’s being a coward.

When I was a elementary School I would get beat up all the time I tried going to adults and even though most of them had already seen me get curb stomped they did literally nothing to stop them some of them even watched kids get beat up I tried the joke approach for the longest time I was afraid to go to school while I was at school I had migraines and headaches almost every day I didn't tell anyone about it because no one would listen to me when I was being bullied why would they listen to me now and no one ever found out until I was 7 or 8 when I was visiting my great grandma out of know where I started feeling nauseous and dissy then came the random flashing lights and double vision then the searin pain. now back to our story for a while I had no hope until I discovered the wonderful art of tai chi I took several lessons before I stood up for myself the next time someone tried to beat me up when their leader grabbed my shoulder about to push me to the ground I hit the center of his arm (where the elbow would be if the elbow was on the inside of your arm) used the arm he was grabbing to punch him in the face using the momentum from when his arm bends from the step before then when he feel to the ground on his nees I hold his arm behind his back and struck his arm they left me alone after that

I'm only 11 but I totally agree. The teachers didn't do anything when my friend way bullied but they made a big deal when a mean text was sent to someone.

I agree with this apart from the fact that when bullies post pictures that are socially degrading of others, it can affect your life, in more ways than just emotionally but sometimes academically.
I definitely agree with Ryan’s points he made. I am bullied at school and understand that there is basically no escape but with cyber bullying you can just block them.

When I was in elementary, I was the dorky, overly-sensitive kid. People, specifically this one group of three girls, liked to tease me about how I cried easily and how I was a "teacher's pet". No joke, I wanted to die at TEN.
One night, I questioned it, and realized: I was at the top of the class, I was in a "gifted" group, I had major rolls in my school musicals, and I had a big circle of friends. The girls bullying me were failing, they weren't in the musicals at all, and as my friends and I could see, the only friends they had were each other. In my head, I concluded they were jealous, and they were just talking advantage of my sensitivity.
After that, I just learned how to not care. They said I was a dork? I didn't care, my grades were fantastic. They said I was a cry-baby? I didn't care, people throughout the school knew me for my talents, not my tears. They said no one liked me? I didn't care, because I knew they were wrong. In short, I didn't give them the satisfaction of a reaction.
Over time, they didn't find it amusing anymore and stopped.

You don't even have to do that. Just don't go to social media at all. Or if you can't help it, block the cyber bullies. You can play games and have fun instead.
As a victim of cyber bullying, I wholeheartedly agree with his opinion. I didn't even need to delete my account or block anyone, I just found a community that accepted me. Cyber bullying is so easy to get out of, and people need to pay more attention to real bullying.
See, your opinion is better than Ryan's. For some people, thankfully you, cyberbullying was not as bad as some others. You got the type of cyber bullying that happens only to you. Other types of cyberbullying can be directed at everyone that knows you. Spreading rumors about you. But thankfully that's not how it was.
LiterallyEverything It really depends on who’s cyberbullying you and how bad it is. Not all situations are the same, some can blackmail you, make new accounts and never stop, leak private information and pictures of you, hack you, spread lies, all kinds of bad stuff.

I agree. A couple weeks ago my school had a 2 hour assembly about how cyber bullying exists. That's all. Not how to stop it. Not how to deal with it. Just that it exists. Oh and they talked about vine a lot.

The biggest thing for me was to stop feeling sorry for myself and move on. It helped me become more positive and motivated me to try and make friends whenever I get to a new place.

I was bullyed alot and now I take Brazilian Jujitsu and I'm a junior black belt level 4. I love that you brought up this topic and I want to thank you for a dressing how you fell and telling us your story. Thank you Ryan. I love you,we all do.
As someone who also got bullied, I mostly agree with you. But I don't want to be taught to just deal with it. *I'd like it if people actually did something to the bullies* whether it's by humiliating them or kicking their asses.
*It should be a fair game.* If I can get abused and everyone thinks it's okay and that I should just "survive the storm", then fine -- you can be a hypocrite, you don't have to help me.
But *I should be allowed to do whatever I want to that bully in return.* If the law can't touch bullies, it shouldn't be touching me.
For anyone who reads this, *I'm not telling you to hurt your attackers.* I'm just pointing out how stupid and unfair society is. No matter what horrible things your bullies do to you, they'll most likely get away with it. But *the one time you finally lash out in defense, the whole world will turn against you* and call you weak.
All I can say is *don't be stupid like I was* when I was younger. There are plenty of other schools to go to, even online schools and other homeschooling options are available for every grade level. *Talk to your parents.* Tell them every detail of what happened to you and what you're going through. Suggest homeschooling or transferring.
*Emphasize that they have to do something because* you don't want to be that kid who got caught *bringing a knife or gun* to school like what we see often now on the news.

ok i love ryans videos and i know this one is an older one but i feel like it wouldn’t be fair to say cyber bullying isn’t that bad since u can escape it. everyone has social media, it’s also very popular among females. You’d feel left out or like a loser if you dont know what’s going on in the social media world, and even if you feel horrible being on it you can’t help but stay. so it’s easy to say i’ll deal with it so i don’t become an outcast and it’s easy for bullies to get away with it since “it isn’t that big of a deal, just delete your account” although i’m sure at this time, maybe social media wasnt so popular at the time?
I agree, we need to teach kids how to deal with it.

I do see your point but cyberbullies usually know the person who’s being bullied irl. Cyber bullying and regular bullying are sort of linked.
Whenever people talk about bullies, they say it as if people always know that they're bullying people. Sometimes, people don't realize that they're bullying anyone and think they're just having fun. Not always, but sometimes.

Damn years later I’m realizing Ryan influence my view on the world… I remember when I was young we were talking about bullying. Then I shared these points. Tbh I thought they were my own. Literally!! But in 22 I decided to watch this video and realized I did mention him. I remember telling the person that work at the place I was attending about his channel. A lost memory that came back to me… nostalgia is crazy when it’s uncovered when you don’t expect it.
How is it that his unpopulair opinions are the best opinions? lol.
Also, I think it's pretty sad when people start bullying through social media... I think they are really sad.. makes me hug them out of pity of how sad they are.

I remember a bunch of girls ganged up on me on Snapchat in 7th grade. I literally just left the group chat and blocked all of them. When I saw them in person they just walked past me.
I know this is supposed to be a joke video, but that part near the end actually really helped and inspired me. This is why I love you, Ryan. 💙
I was never terribly bullied ever because my dad told me my whole life that people only say things to get a reaction. So whenever anybody said anything hurtful I'd just say something like "Cool"

i was bullied in school for being the biggest, tallest, and whitest kid in a school full of mexicans and blacks. i dealt with bullying from 3rd grade until 7th grade when i realized that i was bigger than my bullies and started kicking the crap out of them. each time a bully attacked me, which was often, i busted his lip or threw him to the ground. one time, three bullies ganged up at me all at once. i was thoroughly beaten, but i sent one of those kids to the hospital. after that, no one picked one me.
sometimes, you can't use humor or other peaceful methods when it comes to bullies. sometimes, you got to use your fists. if that makes me sound violent, so be it. Gandhi once said that if he had the choice between cowardice and violence, he'd choose violence.
I didn't used to think like that but after I went to school in Scotland and I am 1/2 Iranian 1/4 English 1/8 Irish and 1/8 Scottish so you can imagine they hated me a lot! I had about 5 good friends but my best friend at the time had a brother who would kick me, punch me, pull my hair, call me names etc and one time he wrestled me to the ground and strangled me his sister had to get him off cos I didn't know what to do I was 9 ( I'm 12 now ). So after that he and his sister where at my house and he punched me in the stomach and I had enough so I grabbed him by the neck and chucked him onto the ground where his back landed on a piece of concrete which stabbed into his back - he never bothered me again. Now I anyone bully's me the get what they deserve and I'm not horrible or anything I just think sometimes you gotta stand up for yourself and sometime you have to be violent!!! Sorry that was so long!!!

This Sudanese kid I used go to high school with would constantly bully Me and one day in the school library He pulled My pants down in the library (undies too).
I immediately tried to throttle Him but a staff member jumped in the way and the kid ran off. So I bided My time, and on the bus back home I saw Him laughing with friends. so I picked up My friends tennis racket (I only found out later as I blacked out) beat Him over the head twelve times yelled incoherently and got off at My stop about half a minute later.
He hardly bothered Me after wards. Mainly because when We went to the year coordinators office at the same time I told Him on the way that if He kept it up I would do it again.

This is kinda true, cyber bullying is not a very big problem compared to regular bullying. You’re never trapped, because online there’s so many ways to avoid it. Blocking them, deleting your account, heck, even just ignoring them. Cyber bullying is a fwp

Hazel Levesque Just know, when someone bullies you, you are still beautiful, and the only reason they are picking on you is because they're jealous, and insecure about themselves. Believe me, I've been bullied for years, this one stupid kid makes it their life decision to make mine hell. But I just laugh it off, as soon as you show them you don't care, they will stop. Don't even listen to them, just let their meaningless words bounce off of you. Let their own failure pass through you, and don't give into it. Just imagine they are a little bug flying next to you. Ignore them. And if it ever gets too serious, don't be afraid to tell a teacher.
