It's been over 3 months since the release of this video. I put on over 1000 miles and the CEL did not come back. I believe the problem is resolved! However, if it ever comes back, I will leave another comment to share it with everyone.
Much needed info. Please keep us posted if the check engine light stays off. I am strongly considering to go with the 2M fabrication high flow cats but the CEL is holding me off
@@MoreNicolasKorvessis did you install the AFM & NPP Exh Valve Simulators? The car will throw the CEL if this is not installed or the simulator is faulty. I don’t believe the 02 sensor extender will help in your case. Check with a scanner to see what the code say…
I installed both at the same time. However, the hi flow cat is what makes it sound much louder. The cat-back changes the tone, but will not be much louder
@@jasonmceeable are you comparing to a Z51 with valve opened or a standard exhaust? The Z51 with valve fully opened should have similar sound level to the aftermarket exhaust. If you think that’s loud, wait until the hi flow cats goes in. My family in the backyard can hear me from 2 blocks away!
@@ktgarage1126 Wow ! Yeah my cold start is insane and it’s very loud . No I had no z51 just base exhaust. Awe Track is insanely loud just wondering if the cats will add volume.
@@jasonmceeable ya, the hi flow cats will add volume for sure. My cold start will wake up the whole neighborhood. When I leave early in the morning, I had to start with the garage door closed until the rpm goes down! Or all the poor neighbors will be up. It sounds really nice when you go to lower gear to pass someone in the highway
@@ktgarage1126 Great community feedback! No CEL yet is promising, but have you passed an inspection yet? That will confirm that all readiness codes are good as well.
Seems like you need to do better research. 400 cells Kooks vs 700 cells stock, which one has better flow and lower back pressure? I can definitely feel the performance gain from the swap. Not to mention the incredible sound. The question is: is it worth the trouble with the CEL? Time will tell if the O2 sensor extension will take care of it. If it took care of the CEL issue, then I say it's a good upgrade. Again, it's not for everyone... and you can form your own opinion. All good....

Absolutely! I drove a few miles and CEL is off. Will give guy guys an update in a few months!
I’m on the fence here as I don’t want the cel! But I’m considering it for the volume increase.
I am over 200 miles in with the extender. Still no CEL! It is encouraging….
@@ktgarage1126 Nice! Have you noticed any increase with these? Any new smells? Or hp gain?
I just installed a paragon exhaust (I have headers) cats are stock and CEL. It was blinking at one point. Now steady. Could
This solve?

Thanks for the videos I been wanting to add high flow cats for a while but scared of having to deal with cei
I put on a few hundred miles already. Not CEL! Will update in a few months!
hey man just wanna follow up about the cel, does it pop up after a few month since you put on the o2 sensor extensions?
@@bradstoneny Hey, I am pleased to tell you that I put on over 1000 miles since I posted this video and the CEL has not come back. The extender works!
@@ktgarage1126 THATS EXCELLENT BRO
Do you install your cats after your exhaust? And if you did how much louder with the cats?

@@ktgarage1126 No that’s not true in my case . I have Awe Track exhaust and it sounds insane the cold starts are obnoxious.

Has the CEL come back on?
No, still good. I put over 2000 miles on it since!

The stock cats have very good flow. People need to do better research before buying aftermarket.
