- Very personal video, giving you reasons why do i love living in Malta. I moved to Malta in 2015 and ever since i fell in love with the island. Malta has a lot to offer for expats and for tourists. I spent 7 years living in the central part of Malta, and i bought an apartment in the South part of Malta in the village Zurrieq. This was the best decision i made in my life. Zurrieq is very quite, people are lovely and the air is more clean. If you are planning to move to Malta and you wish to be in more tranquil area than Zurrieq is the place to be.

I have very fond memories of Zurrieq in the 90's and its nice to see it still looks mostly the same.

This is the first area I moved to when I came to Malta. I loved it, but then moved to Sliema as it was close to work. That was not so much fun. Been back in the U.K. a few years now, but visiting to see friends over Easter. Then can’t wait to explore again 😊
Yap there is a big difference between Zurrieq and Sliema, im sure you will enjoy on your next visit

Thank you for the tour of Zurrieq. I visited here many times when I was living in Qrendi for a year back in 2015. A beautiful village with friendly people and nice atmosphere and walks. Have you been to the potato festival in Qrendi??

Alex, you're fun, warm and informative like to be kind enough to show us your village of Zurrieq. This is the best kind of place to live outside the busy touristy place. I often dream of Malta, I should visit in low season one day soon.

Great video again, Alex! While I never went into Zurrieq, I know the surrounding area and have walked many roads on that side of the island when I'd take the bus over to the Dingli Cliffs, for example, and then walk to other locations, such as the Blue Lagoon as a respite from the dust and noise of construction in places like St. Julien's or even Floriana quite close to Valletta. Thank you for the reminder and memory of that part of Malta from four years ago! And yes, please, on seeing the interior of a House of Character in Malta. Hugs!

This year i am going to visit the festa de santa maria. I rented a house in zurrieq on trix barcelona because i have to do a lot on foot. I know now that i couldn't have made a better choice ! I am lookimg so forward to my vacation in this beautifull part of Malta ! 😁

Yes this part of Malta 🇲🇹 is special.....
And idea of future videos for you which is something I would love to see, is you spending some time with the local Maltese youth and asking them questions like what it is like for them in Malta as youth full stop what their problems are and what their concerns are and what they like doing and where they like going for recreation and other activities are, and what school is like and what their aspirations are, fears and concerns, what they like and don't like, are and if you can get down into the depths of the Maltese youth..... you are a smart guy and are obtaining a lot of interviewing experience I'm sure you'll be to come up with many questions....
It wouldn't be nice to see the youth from the main cities, but also the country areas to see if there is any difference between them.... and even if you can, the use of Gozo.....
This can be a very special project for you, Alex :-)
This would be so fantastic and extremely interesting.
Obviously both boys and girls, starting from about 13 to about 21.....
You could include some foreigners if you like but the main purpose would be the proper Maltese locals.....
It would be so wonderful to hear from them an interesting to see what they say :-)

Public transport is free so there is no need of getting a taxi from Zurrieq to anywhere else on the island.

Nice video alex, but the post office is not anymore in the location you mentioned in the video, it moved further upwards, located close to HSBC branch and Zurrieq fc club.

15:46 visit Mgarr there you can find where farmers live and this where the strawberries come from aka the popular fruit here in Malta and pls visit the local restaurant a Ta’Soldi which they have lots of local food.

I am an American living in Houston that is moving to Malta. I have family there. Fortunate, but unfortunately they live in like a 1000 year old farm mansion of sorts. In Zurrieq there isnt traffic, and im not finding the traffic in Malta chaotic, i have seen worse. I am intending to stay for the rest of my life here

Hey. If you buy them shell they can be from €180K upwards, furnished apartments depends if they are new or old, but lets say they start from €250K going to €450K
