Who's here to see Leo's acting skill fully, after watching that small clip.
lmao me
Hello there
exactly
Yup
Hi
Jesus the pressure of being the leading role or director of a film like this would just be unreal. So many extras and crewmen.
Jesse Rodriguez now imagine filming fast and furious or lord of the rings ITS LIKE FILMING 20 OF THIS MOVIES AT ONCE
@@SHANELMUSIC CGI
hank i thought so too but look at behind the scenes of let’s say fast 7
@@10kirneh lord of the rings used about 20000 extras, just to put it into perspective :)
Alexander the great was harder than both...
Looks like an office episode
Matthew Kennedy Just with far more sex, drugs, and excessive swearing and ridiculing of meek staff.
check out a video that I made in my channel its an office intro with wolf of wall street bts scenes ;)
factst
It really does come to think of it
An Office episode on steroids lol
It always amazes me how a good director can take these very rough and very unimpressive scenes and frame them into a powerful movie. Also this really shows how good an actor must be to get into scene. When you watch a movie you see them act emotionally and it makes sense because XYZ just happened in the movie. But in reality XYZ didn't happen at all. That Actor just came from breakfast and stands in a brightly light room full of people with cameras and microphones and then someone yells "Action" and they still make it look seamless and real. Amazing!
agree, i feel like people (including me) often times don't think about these facts. i think the actors and directors are really special for being able to do these kind of things
Johannes Dolch yes exactly. Something most people don’t think about. Some actors are natural with Film while stage actors lose continuity. The thrills of being a lead actor. It’s also worth noting the responsibility the main lead takes on. Essentially, all those people are there to support Leo.
Another interesting point is where the word Lead Actor comes from. Apparently, it was from early stage when an actor would literally take the Lead in the pacing of the scenes. The other actors would wait for the lead as it were. It’s also worth noting that Leo leads in this way in film making. So he’s a lead in both senses. Brad on the other side is more laid back. Though just as effective.
The editor plays a huge role too
That’s why they need good direction
500th like!
I just can't believe leo didn't win an Oscar for this movie!! I mean wtf
Matthew was equally brilliant in Dallas Buyers Club.
But still, I wish Leo had won
@@mishanshrestha9292 yeah I think he didn't win because he played a man who's such an asshole in real life otherwise he would've
Hey i ve jusy watched dallas buyers club... I think matthews was slightly better than leo in this case....
Love Leo but Matthew well deserved it
A movie about corporate greed sponsored by corporate greed
There is no fucking way I could be a extra for that movie and not fuck up for laughing so hard LOL
STVO lmao same
Everyone seems to be laughing. To be fair the extras can get away with it in this movies as all they do is scream, laugh and act wild lol
You could laugh and get away with it. The camera doesn't even pick up most of the poeple in the room.
And that's why no one will remember your name.
I love Leonardo Dicaprio
thank God thought I was the only one haha....who am I kidding sho doesn't love Leo!
How can you not! This guys is legend!
JMC Film Co. me too
youre gay
Are you disriminating jonah hill? 😤😤
Its just amazing how Leo is such a shy person in the interviews , and than goes on stage and pull out such a character like Jordan Belfort.
He controlled more novelled characters than himself, or maybe he doesn't want acting to cover his real personality during interviews.
You can tell Jonah is so excited about working with Martin.
Malthe Lauenblad fun fact, Jonah was only payed 60 grand for the whole movie because he wanted to work with Scorcese so bad
@@guy5529 it would work for free if it is next to dicaprio. also opens many doors such a production
@@guy5529 He said he would have sold his house to work with Marty so I guess the 60k was kind of a bonus to him lol
I mean who's not excited to work with THE Martin Scorsese???
This is one of those movies I would buy on a physical DVD to have forever and watch whenever.
I have
I just watched it 2 days ago and plan on watching it again 😂😂
UHD*
I used to leave it on repeat
Acting looks so awkward before post production.
Especially during montage scenes.
Joseph Heath yeah it does without all the music and stuff haha
@@ohio exactly my thought
I'm an editor. I can confirm it is almost always awkward lol
It makes you realise how even the biggest movies are just made of the same components tiny shorts and student films are made from. It's quite encouraging really :)
love how everyone is so committed on the set to make look so real. real team work
Be You its Scorsese what else did you expect :D
Be You They were supposed to... 🙄
@@Paul-zx8jf what a fucking ridiculous comment. Quit being a smartass.
Doc It’s true though. These are their lives. they’re bound for life to commit to the job
@@doc8013 How is it ridiculous? It is their job
The raw behind the scenes footage makes everything look like the office.
ITS MEANT TO LOOK LIKE AN OFFICE....
HAHAHA I thought that too, I mean, I think if someone who doesn't know about the existence of this film watch this video that person would think this is some weird comedy about the daily adventures of an office XD :=")!
i cant believe martin is 71 years old! he's so awesome :)
When did 71 become 101?
He looks like a retired accountant who has a promiscuous daughter.
@@scottinbristol really, dude?
@@doc8013 My point is younger people see someone in their 70s and think theyre lucky to be alive or something.
@@scottinbristol well, until a few years ago 70 wasn't even the average life expectancy. Even today in the US it's like 78. So yeah, to see a 71 year old look like a spry young man handling a ginormous multi million dollar production is pretty fucking cool.
Leo is such a great actor he makes acting look so simple and does it so effortlessly
LOL, Jonah and those teeth.
He smoked crack
Phosphorescent white teeth 😂😂
Can't help laughing every time I see Jonah Hill in this character.
He was so funny in this film !
SMOKE CRACK WITH ME BRO
@@Lance1972 😂😂😂😂😂
The story about him marrying his cousin is so messed up it's hilarious.
He's perfect
1:19 I love how Martin Scorcese looks like Carl from Up
Leo is such a professional. Truly one of the greatest actors of all time. He is just seamless.
You know how good an actor Leonardo is, simply because you may be unable to distinguish the times where they’re actually filming, compared to when they’re in between takes.
The movie besides of have amazing cast it has an amazing extras too!
camilo villate it really did
Whenever I rewatch it, it's to see the extras. I can't think of another movie that gets as much from it's extras.
cobrastriesand Maybe Titanic.
@@Jotaj1978 good call. I think the extras in WoW have more idiosyncrasies than those in Titanic, but oh God, I'm rewatching now, and what an amazing movie!
And matthew mcconaughey won oscar for best actor that year!
Leonardo my favourite actor
Certainly in my top five.
Same
Me too..
@@Re-bl5sr Johnny Depp is also in the top 5, isn't he?
and my favourite too
God, sometimes I wish I had the self preservation and confidence that these actors have. I would be an absolute sweating, crying, falling mess in front of all those extras and crew.
The legend has been acting since he was 6. Surely can't faze him now
They’re human after all, so they defo have the fear and anxiety that comes with the job, no matter how many years you’ve done it, you’ll still get those nerves.
I love how serious Leo is the whole time. He is like a robot then as soon as they yell action he’s in character. It’s so cool
acting has to be one of the weirdest jobs ever. lol. good movie tho
Thats kinda rude man
s n Nah but he’s kinda right. It’s such a strange working environment, cuz one moment you’re with another actor, talking amongst yourselves, the next you become your character and literally play. It’s also weird cuz depending on who you work with, it could be great or a giant clusterf**k, but you’ll never really know until you get the final product.
@ DanInnitMate exactly. you get exactly what I meant. its got to be soo awkward. or working on a green screen or with the green people that are going to be CGI monsters in the finished product. lol
It’s like when we use to play pretend when we where kids
@s n stfu
was hoping to see some Margot Robbie footage, damn.
We too
@@SelfImprovement1111 I bet my man Leo got deep behind those scenes, if you know what I mean
The hidden cam scene!!!

Man Leo is fully in “The Zone” ready to act into his character
Best movie i have ever watched
He should have one Best Actor what an amazing performance. He’s been nominated 6 times he should have at least 3 Oscars. He’s in a class of his own at 44 years old.
Nah I think Mathew in Dallas buyers clubs was slightly better
Leo was in great shape during the film.
Lol, GAY!
y r u ghai?
Respect to all the actors, this is a really difficult job
this dude is soooo talented
DiCaprio not winning the Oscar after this performance is beyond me..
Matthew deserved it tbh
Imagine directing an actor such as Leo DiCaprio. It must be so satisfying!
*the people in the background are litty af🔥 I imagine it’s a lot of fun to play such a role*
That movie was the bomb!!!!
@5:55 "Well Kids, this is the story of how your mum met the Great Gatsby" - Ted Mosby
Acting is so much harder than most thinks. Ive acted some myself, and always need to prepare alot even for short scenes
Leonardo DiCaprio is truly legend. In my opinion I think he is the most talented actor of all time
i was waiting to see how they shot the banging scenes
It’s always fascinating to see how many people it takes to make a scene seem seamless
I fkn love Martin Scorsese
Martin Sorsessie looks like Woody Allen without the creepy pedo vibe lol
lovetownsend Martin Scorsese is the very lovable, Italian-New York uncle that comes over for Christmas parties and everyone gets along with but is super nitpicky about how the tree is decorated.
@@mishtaromaniello8295 and who has done more cocaine than the rest of the family combined
@@mishtaromaniello8295 lol, great comment. 🙂
Mishta Romaniello thanks 🇮🇹🇮🇹
He looks like a funny guy. "Funny how?" 😂😂😂
We watch these movies and we only see the actors, nobody sees EVERYTHING that happens in the background to make these actors look good. Thanks for the behind the scenes.
Leonardo is a beast when it comes to Acting he acts infront of so manny People it must be so hard to do that can you imagine how nervous you must be to learn all that stuff by heart and speak infront of them and not make a mistake and fuck up bad that is probably the real challenge and then you need to act and have a nice gestik and mimik and use your face hands etc and do it the right way insane realy he deserved the oscar a long time ago!
Only the rare few can do it so well. (That's why the pay-checks are so big, i guess).
It is definitely my favorite Leo Film
Videos like this prove movies are true artistry
DiCaprio is the best actor ever
This is behind the scenes but am I the only person that trips Leonardo DiCaprio only has one Oscar?
Most people never get one.
@Seki baha Really? What I think you mean to say you don't have those things. Because the way it stands, you're the only person you know well enough to have any right to say such ridiculous things.
@Seki Not every performance he gives is breathtaking. There are some films that are just.. average.
I dont really know much about great acting but I find it strange that he won an oscar for a film where he has very little dialogue. Can someone explain this? I mean he has played characters with so much emotion and so many lines with emotion how did they decide to give him an oscar for a movie where it was mostly physical acting which seems easier to me?
well other actors did better some years and some years the academy just didn't like his shit, it's that simple
Oh my Leo!
1:30 Jonah Looks so happy working with Scorsese
Legendary
Well now I'm putting my Wolf of Wallstreet Blu-Ray in right now. This is one of my all time favourite movies and as a Filmmaker watching this is so cool and now I gotta watch it again!
I just saw a bit of Cluster. I enjoyed watching. Far from perfect but very stylistic and pretty well made considering the budget must've been low, I assume. I'm guessing you've improved tonnes since 2013 too but keep up the good work either way sir!
EDIT:
The stylistic drug depictions reminded me somewhat of the film Layer Cake or a bit of Lord of War too, in a way.
Leonardo at 2:31 that about sums up the whole process.
Leo is just such a natural. He really is so talented. Awesome.
Acting is so fuckin wild. The way they can just “turn it on” like I log onto my computer for work and start writing code is so damn interesting to watch. Wish more movie productions released b-roll like this.
This is so cool. Love seeing behind the scenes.
One of the finest movie ever! Leo is the class actor ! 😘

Leo is so cute!😍❤
It's really cool to see Marty in his element and having a blast. That's a man who truly loves what he does.

I don’t know who that main guy is but he’s a good looking dude, seems like a good actor as well.
@far far away whoosh
It's Chris Pratt
@far far away oh yeah! I really liked him in Pirates of the Caribbean.

When he was quiet in a scene but the camera was rolling that was footage for a voiceover and was in the script
Leonardo is such a trail blazer
Seeing this video makes me want to watch the movie again. Thanks for sharing this video.

Leo is a machine of an actor.

Best movie I’ve seen all week
Leo the best actor of modern times. Genius...
he isn't
@@Gabriel-kb1ju he is
I would say Leonardo is actually a "perfect actor".
He just has everything. I honestly think that an actor/artist like him comes across all 50 years.
Somehow he is kinda the man
equivalent to Marilyn Monroe of modern times.
His class, his skill, his looks, just everything.
He is for Hollywood what Cristiano Ronaldo is for Football.
Or what Michael Jordan was for basketball.
Or what Michael Jackson was for pop.
Or what Elvis was for Rock n Roll.
@@RabbitConfirmed I love Leo but your comparisons don't really work. In the case of the Marilyn comparison, she really wasn't a great actress. She was beautiful and stunning and influential and really funny but most definitely not a great actor.
