Yes, I think I've come across the CTEK MXS 5.0 under another brand name....and as I recall it can recover batteries as well....I remember being really impressed with the spec and build.

Thank you for the video, I should be using one of these shortly, where I am about to start working.

how accurate is the alternator testing on the p300? can it really detect a faulty alternator eg like a faulty diode over charging when car is off or have any reasons why a cca rating drops at leat by 100 off ?

when connecting the battery to the power supply do we connect the red (+) clamp to the battery and the second (-) to the ground? is this ok?

I've seen your vlog and I like it it helps me to understand how to use it. May I ask is it okay to use it while I'm diagnosing my car as a power supply and while I'm reprogramming ECM. Please reply as soon you see this.

Would have been nice to see the current in real-time too. Please connect your current clamp next time.

That certainly won't work as the crank requires hundreds of amps to start....25 just won't do it.

hello. I just got into situation when warranty supplier was using a tester to either warranty a product or not. what happens a battery was fully charge 5 times and last 5 days in the morning wasnt able to crank a starter without prime charge; afternoon. I'm assuming a battery is shot but store tells me that my battery needs to be charged and is good,??????
Watching your video, am I missing a starter test which is being done by your tester. We have been using this tool at the dealership ( maybe not the same model) but we had a lot of issues with customers having battery death in the morning and tester effect was : BATTERY GOOD

um.. that would be quite pointless because it won't work. The starter uses much more than the 25A the charger can supply.. They usually need way over hundred amps - the "cranking amps" spec on the battery datasheet tells you of what it is capable of.

why don't you try to start the car using the charger in power supply mode

You would blow the unit, starting an engine takes far more amps.
