Johnny u basically said everything I feel also.. SUCH a brave song to take on but these guys somehow hit the perfect balance of not over improvising away from the original yet making their own. I think they did really well... and I had high expectations!!! Love the fact they stuck to the original video theme too. Man, this song is still such a fave of mine.. Hayley & the boys made pure magic with this one. 🎶🤘🏻
From ashes to new are an incredible band, loving what they do. Their cover of Dre is brilliant 👍
The chorus was close between the two (Williams wins, I think, but not by much), but I think the lead-up sections to the first and second chorus were actually markedly better in the cover. Amazing job.

With the little drum fills is one of the highlights of the original song… this version didn’t draw me in to the chorus as much for me as you also said, other than that, good cover 👍🏻

They didn't include that background verse that she did in about the middle of the song, but otherwise this was hella good! He's got sick vocals!

I love this cover and the singer's vocals, but I get what you mean about the chorus not hitting quite as hard as the original - I think it's because Hayley takes it down a bit for the verses, so the chorus has a bit more impact by contrast
