I think the way of how you are rejected is most important. I'd even go so far as to say that the mentioned case wasn't really a rejection, because you weren't rejected for who you are, it's was just the fact that she was already with someone, and you had an opportunity to tell yourself that things might've turned the other way around if not for that. Besides, she seems to have been nice about it, without contempt or ghosting. In either case, what you are talking about is very relatable. Every rejection in my life sent me on a 5-10 year cooldown and I probably already lost what could've been the best years of my life because of that. Hopefully I'll eventually overcome this as you did.
My bad I probably made a bad job explaining the concept of the story What I meant was yeah, she was nice and everything but the way I handle that rejection was completely different compared to the rejections I've gotten in the past Yeah bro, you can overcome it bro, We al go through hard times, I've made so much progress and I'm so happy and I believe anyone else can do it too!

Rejection is like iron sharpening iron. Not everybody will like you anyway. You gotta be okay with that.
