16 WEEKS?! He is enormous! I have had three St. Bernards and a Bernese Mountain Dog, all from puppies and none were this big at 16 weeks. I would love this big baby. 😊❤

I just hope they're taking precautions, there is always a risk with big dogs being even bigger and growing too fast, their body doesn't keep up with growing rate, which results in live long injuries, unless the growing rate is slowed down and adjusted. He'll be a mini pony in no time! :)

Introducing puppies to as many new experiences gives them the best chance of a relaxed adulthood. It may be frustrating like teaching toddlers, but it's worth it in the long run for a stress free life.
You've talked about it being important for pups to be worked with from a young age. There were so many new things for him to deal with, ranging from an unknown human, a bath, new procedures, etc. You survived it. When he managed to hold still for you at one point, it was a big deal. Considering it was all new, he did well. I hope his people like daily exercise. Bernese like a lot of it and hilly terrain if possible.
