Shpongle. Never heard of this until now, and thankfully have finally heard of this. Listened through once; this is the immediate second. What a sound! My son walked by and asked "why are you listening to Psytrance?" Says it's very popular in Sweden. Allrighty then. Aural treats for walking with the king. I'm all in.
Please don´t get this wrong, but this is actually not Psytrance. Its called World Music, a genre which evolved somewhere between 2005-2010 through the work of Simon Posford, Ott, and some other "traditional" Psytrance artists. If you want to hear "real" Psytrance, go the Simons early albums, like the The Lone Deranger. But there are many, many more... Doof, Talamasca, Prometheus, Astral Projection, Man With No Name, Infected Mushroom, Green Nuns of the Revolution, and also the "younger" artists like Tristan, Laughing Buddha, Avalon, Liquid Soul, etc.. if you prefer a bit "softer" sound, Sweden is a place to go to for Psybient (or Psy Ambient), amazing projects like Solar Fields, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Vibrasphere etc. And if you want to stay in the genre of World Music, you should definitely check out the project Younger Brother (Simon Posford and Prometheus), Ott ( www.discogs.com/artist/27862-Ott) and a younger artist called Globular (great talent). Basically, all the "Fathers" of Psytrance come from the UK and Israel. Sweden emerged as a Trance hub in the period from 2000-2010. That being said, I´m so happy for you discovering this amazing music genre and I´m wishing you an amazing acoustic and extrasensory journey through this colorful world!!! God bless!

I first heard Once Upon a Sea of Blissful Awareness back in around 2004, on a streaming radio station called Limbik Frequencies. They played lots of amazing stuff, including from the Ultimae label. But this song totally blew me away. It was better than anything you'd hear on mainstream radio and I couldn't believe that something so beautiful and well produced was from an almost unknown artist. Stuff like this should be heard by everyone. It's still one of my favourite songs today. Thanks for posting.
truly their best and most complete album! But everyone talking about the genius of Raja Ram seems so starstruck to me, it's surely 90% the knowledge about music, the patience and accuracy in mixing of Simon Posford!
been searching for proper melody for ages till i encountered artists like these, its the play of beat and melody in the music thats missing from 99% if not all of modern songs & music, thats why i keep returning to Shpongle, Entheogenic, Infected Mushroom, Eat Static, Highlight tribe and such or even older artists. its what im missing from most modern djs & song writers, they stuck in the same loop.
Somehow this both helps me concentrate and relax... I love the interweaving of the multiple sound texture threads. I listen to this often and never get tired of it!
Dude when the lsd hit me it was like I broke through to god it was a whole different plane this music was too much to handle at first it was insane how hard it was to wrestle all of those
This is so well done. The changes are subtle, yet significant. I especially love the enhancement on Hari's voice in "Once Upon..". It sounds just celestial now. :::)
I have listened to this album so many times in so many formats that the remastered edits were obvious. This version kind of separates and accentuates each individual layer, in a crystal clear way. This is an amazing edit and this might actually be the best way to experience this album on youtube.
Listened to this album on both my first and second lsd trip, 70 and 150mics respectively. On first it was very intriguing and calming but on the second... man i could feel the music taking me on a journey across the world, fantastic feeling

I was at the podiatrist office the other day expressing how much I love this album.
He said “that’s nice and all but why did you come here to tell me that?”
I replied the light was on.
I’ve been SO twisted every time I’ve listened to this record that listening to it straight kinda makes my brain malfunction and get artificially high. The power of suggestion is pretty mighty. Godspeed, all you who genuinely need what this album offers, we’ll see you when you come back home. (~);}
The first 3 albums are the only ones you need, imo. I was there for all of it; those first 3 are seminal and timeless. Everything ends.
Ineffable Mysteries tho
Codex IV is truly a masterpiece :::)

Pure Awareness, I Am. Om
Spongle are the cure
An artist is nothing without a muse
been searching for proper melody for ages till i encountered artists like these, its the play of beat and melody in the music thats missing from 99% if not all of modern songs & music, thats why i keep returning to Shpongle, Entheogenic, Infected Mushroom, Eat Static, Highlight tribe and such or even older artists. its what im missing from most modern djs & song writers, they stuck in the same loop.
Somehow this both helps me concentrate and relax... I love the interweaving of the multiple sound texture threads. I listen to this often and never get tired of it!
Feel excited while listening
Im so thankfull I'm Shpongled
so much sensation in the ears and the mind damn!
14:04 This is so DMT trip...the men singing...IDK why but It allways takes me back to my dmt trips...gonna do it today with this in the background...
it was just like I expected it to be...
This shit is insanely good. I thought I liked Merkaba a lot, but Shpongle is insanely detailed and creative.
There is no shame in having a favorites list. And then changing the order now and again.
Dude when the lsd hit me it was like I broke through to god it was a whole different plane this music was too much to handle at first it was insane how hard it was to wrestle all of those
Ahhh many fond memories of cosmic journey's past...
those cosmic places, unexplainably abstract, where we reside before birth, we glimpse in human life, and we will return to
Archie Watts very well said!
why aren't you tripping anymore?
This is so well done. The changes are subtle, yet significant.
I especially love the enhancement on Hari's voice in "Once Upon..". It sounds just celestial now.

I'm playing this at my wedding lol
star shpongled banner is inexpressibly amazing.
it make my pp hard
I have listened to this album so many times in so many formats that the remastered edits were obvious. This version kind of separates and accentuates each individual layer, in a crystal clear way. This is an amazing edit and this might actually be the best way to experience this album on youtube.
Agreed. It is sharper than the original release. Like a scaple cutting directing into the brain.
Music for music, masterpiece.
So wonderful so many great expressions of pure bliss many many thanks to the greatness to the awesomeness so very grateful in so many way
