This album completely redefined my perception of music. It effortlessly dissolves the boundaries of our seemingly materialistic reality, while leading you through a path of introspection and personal growth. Never have I been led through such a life-expanding journey, the closest being Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Inexpressible Creativity, Vision, Spirituality, and a whole lot of Cognitive Brilliance is how I would describe this wonder of Humanity. And now Remastered! A sincere thank you to Shpongle. I love hearing Terence McKenna compare smoking DMT to Pink Floyd. It adds another level of psychedelic interconnectivity as the voice of our heroic guide lives eternally within this music & now us.✌
This magical music reminds me of all my psychedelic experiences & I can tap into that consciousness anytime. I've found that no matter the dose (1-2 lbs of fresh shrooms) I've never blacked out on psilocybin. However I have blacked out on massive amounts of LSD and Salvinorin A which sucks because I wish I could remember the hallucinations. Anyone else have blackouts on heroic doses of LSD or other hallucinogens?
Have just begun sampling Shpongle having, inexplicably, not heard of them till a few months back - and me, an Ozric Tentacles fan! I have only sampled some of their several albums and this one, so far, is quite good and sounds one of the best of theirs. Somewhat mesmerizing - as the psychadelic should be. Actually, a heavy psytrance. Enjoyed!

I love electronica like IDM, Ambient & DnB but not so much trance, and those who recommended Shpongle also suggested Infected Mushroom & 1200 Micrograms who I just couldn't get into. I'd only heard "Are You Shpongled?" and coming from Ozrics, it was a tough transition until this their 3rd album got me fully submerged in Shpongolia.
This AND their 3rd album "Nothing Lasts...But Nothing is Lost." Terrence McKenna & Ned Flanders samples plus more complex arrangements with a greater array of instruments & sounds help achieve genre-defying psychedelia in the same world vein as Ozric.
I’d be interested in more details on what was improved/changed as I feel the original album is fine. These remasters should have also included a 24/96 remaster too... *grumble*
i think hes actually going to do a new hallucinogen album soon. thats my guess. he says he has a big surprise coming our way. Theres been a few hints in his social media and my guess is a new hallucinogen album.

When I talked to Simon at a meet and greet (paid extra $100) about 8 or 9 years ago, I specifically asked him, have you ever considered doing another Hallucinogen album. He said all his Hallucinogen projects were a product of his early years including the use of substances and he was not so interested in going back to that. I hope his big surprise is another Hallucinogen album but I am thinking it may be something entirely new, something that builds upon the Hallucinogen and Shpongle sounds.

I never made that comparison, but you're right in ways that are hard to explain. The Spanish guitar probably contributes a lot to that.
