That's definitely not a $250 bread machine. $89 at the most. Makes a very small loaf and the recipe is lacking. You need at least a little bit of salt or it will taste bland because salt is a flavor enhancer. We are talking maybe 1/4 teaspoon of table salt or 1/2 tsp of kosher salt, not a lot. Also butter is unnecessary because it will taste better and be healthier with olive oil (or another premium oil).
Mine has Teflon coating and the paddle/flipper at the bottom wore down the coating because I put bean flour in it and the flour was too coarse, so I stop using it--I don't want to eat Teflon or aluminum. I always find the loaf too small, anyway.

Modern bread recipe has multiple things inside which keeps them moist and supple. There is a detailed video by Adam ragusea here on yt where you can understand why it becomes so hard and what modern bread is.
I've had my bread machine for almost 30 years. I use it literally every single day. I make flavored bread, regular bread, and I love the dough setting. It mixed and proofs your dough. So awesome. Now when I got mine it was $200. I might hit the thrift stores and hopefully find a couple.
I bought a bread machine during the pandemic. Not only is it very satisfying to use but it produces bread at a fraction of the cost of store bought. I just stick to basics, but there is a point during the cycle when you can add raisins, nuts, or seeds. There are ways to make artisan bread if you want. I am the opposite of a single-purpose gadget consumer, but I love this product. Making bread from scratch is not easy, is very time consuming, and takes a lot of time and patience to get the right kneading technique. I love that this guy got one at GW so cheap. Kudos!
That bread machine is known for quality. The breads are SO nice! It can even do other types of bread like banana or zucchini bread. Also gluten-free. Cool that you bagged a great deal! Kudos!🎉
Zucchini bread is frikkin amazing. I brought some to share at work once, and for the next month, people were coming at me like I was their drug dealer.
I've owned one of these for years and not only does it very easily make a bunch of awesome different types of bread, it saved us a lot of money and improved our health, because we did not add any unhealthy wierd stuff to our bread. Absolutely worth having

Got an old one and it still works! Makes great bread. Sometimes i take dough out before it begins the bake cycle and put it in a loaf pan or make it into rolls, cover , let rise and bake in a 350 oven! So easy 👍
they make good bread, also pretty helpful for pizza dough and even heard people using them to make Jam and stuff like yogurt (though i assume yogurt is a fancier machine with temp control or a setting for it)
@@rubyoro0 Not the right places I guess. A dedicated bread maker sounds pretty cool but on second thought, would it be better than a stand mixer? Might just take up more space, still neat though!
That brand of bread machine was the top of the line in the early 1990’s when these machines were so popular I had one for my family of 3 teenage boys so it ran once or twice a day I recommend you try the raisin bread recipe I used to set it to have the loaf ready for breakfast time 😉
I have one of those in my garage. I have had it for almost 30 years. I need to try it again. I never had much luck with my bread making, but maybe I need your recipe!
Take it out and try again. Always putting in the wet ingredients first then the dry. If yours has a dough cycle you can bake the bread in the oven or airfryer for better results.
My father has one of those and it is amazing. You can make all sorts of types of bread, it comes out amazing, and I just love how it fills the kitchen with the smell of fresh bread
Yep, this wass one of the drawbacks of the machine rush, when these first came out onto the market. My grandmother +her friends felt that wait time was a serious compromise factor against the fumctional convenience pf the aoto-kneading +-baking machine. Their other complaint was how bulky their particular machinex were, picked more space on their modest kitchen counters than a 3-hr bread machine could justify. Plus for three hours, the loaves were too small for their families
I had a bread machine in the early '90s. I used it a couple of times, and it got put away in an upper cabinet. I enjoy kneading, I enjoy watching the yeast work its magic. I enjoy the smell of bread baking in the oven. Those are things that a bread machine doesn't give you.
We used to have one of those back in the 90s. We quit buying sliced bread and made our own until the machine broke, then we went back to buying sliced bread and never replaced the machine.
That’s a zujirushi machine!!! I don’t know about the US but in my country zujirushi is hella excellent/ expensive brand you got yourself a great deal !! That loaf looked yummy
If you get into making great breads from scratch it’s so relaxing and fun. The end result melts in your mouth especially if you make great focaccia and cheese bread sticks. ❤
It’s so easy to make. If you have a food processor with dough hooks start with 1 1/2cups lukewarm water (no more than 107F). Add a good heaping tsp of sugar mix well. Add 3 to 4 tsp dry yeast mix well. Let sit a good 10 mins. If super foamy yeast is good then start adding flour 1 cup at a time mix very well till smooth and mix in a good 1/2 cup olive oil. Keep adding flour till a nice soft dough is formed. Cover let rise. Oil a nice standard large cookie sheet or use parchment paper. Oil paper too. Put soft risen dough on parchment paper and spread out with fingers. Put finger dimples in soft dough. Now sprinkle with good olive oil and course sea salt. If you prefer fresh rosemary can be added, fresh tomatoes, grated pecorino cheese and very thin sliced onions. Left with just olive oil and salt is awesome. Put in 375-400F oven. Bake till nice golden on top and check the bottom. Don’t burn it. Awesome focaccia
this just reminded me that I saw the very same bread machine I used to have at Goodwill the other day, but I hesitated; I gotta get it if it's still there tomorrow, thanks!

This man can't keep getting away with hitting us with unsolicited rizz under the guise of teaching us how to cook!
AYYYYY 🔥
What is rizz? I hope it's something positive...
@@lisawest9731 It is generally positive. From what I understand, it's essentially another way of saying charm.
@@cheesyminercharisma
@@zuzafunstuff There ya go. Couldn't think of it at the time. Charisma.
My grandparents used to have one of these. Grandad would set it up before bed and we would wake up in the morning to the smell of fresh bread baking. Such a good childhood memory
We have one at home too, my dad was obsessed with it. While the bread was amazing fresh, the next day you could beat nails with it... 😂
Wow and Ykes!🤕🤥🥺

Zucchine omelette is also nice.
I've owned one of these for years and not only does it very easily make a bunch of awesome different types of bread, it saved us a lot of money and improved our health, because we did not add any unhealthy wierd stuff to our bread. Absolutely worth having
It should be mandatory at houses. Like a kettle or a microwave! 😂
My mom got one a probably like 5-7 years ago and the bread is damn good… it still makes my mouth water thinking of it now… I should try to get one of those machines now…
I'm in my 70's, live alone ..I love my bread machine ..can't knead like I used too ..but I love the smell of bread baking ❤❤❤
Just a casual 70 year old browsing through RUclips shorts. I don’t believe you’re actually that old.
@@marlo8850 I swear people have been traumatized so much by frauds online that they think absolutely everything is fake now. Not everything is a troll, dude. And so what if it is? Who cares? It's a nice comment that people like. 🤦🏾♂️
@@PatrickBartleyMusic don't be so upset about it.
I'm in my 70's but just lazy! I do the same thing...I make a loaf just so the aroma floats thru the apt & the complex (I crack open my windows a bit)😅
@@marlo8850Because she's too old to enjoy shorts? (I'm 76.) Please tell me you're not stereotyping.
We have had a bread machine for ten years in pantry. I’m getting it out tmr and rinsing the dust off of it and make some bread. For a couple weeks I have had the wants for homemade bread and after seeing your video I must make it now. Thanks for the recipe . Love your videos.❤️
How did it go? You have to let us know!
Yea don't cheat us now
Dayummm that bread looks scrumptious
Got an old one and it still works! Makes great bread. Sometimes i take dough out before it begins the bake cycle and put it in a loaf pan or make it into rolls, cover , let rise and bake in a 350 oven! So easy 👍
Sweet!😃👍
You made me smile, thanks!
they make good bread, also pretty helpful for pizza dough and even heard people using them to make Jam and stuff like yogurt (though i assume yogurt is a fancier machine with temp control or a setting for it)
Never knew something like this existed, now I need it
Where have you been?
@@rubyoro0 Not the right places I guess. A dedicated bread maker sounds pretty cool but on second thought, would it be better than a stand mixer? Might just take up more space, still neat though!
We all knead it, amirite????
That brand of bread machine was the top of the line in the early 1990’s when these machines were so popular I had one for my family of 3 teenage boys so it ran once or twice a day I recommend you try the raisin bread recipe I used to set it to have the loaf ready for breakfast time 😉
How much did it cost back then?
I have one of those in my garage. I have had it for almost 30 years. I need to try it again. I never had much luck with my bread making, but maybe I need your recipe!
Take it out and try again. Always putting in the wet ingredients first then the dry. If yours has a dough cycle you can bake the bread in the oven or airfryer for better results.
I got my mom a bread maker and now she makes us loaves at least once a week. Some of the best bread I've had tbh
My father has one of those and it is amazing. You can make all sorts of types of bread, it comes out amazing, and I just love how it fills the kitchen with the smell of fresh bread
I have this and yeah the worst part is waiting for that 3 hours cooking time
You can prepare at night. Use delay function. The wonderful smell will wake you up in the morning.
@@rubyoro0eh I don't like the idea of unsupervised kitchen devices, especially while sleeping. Sounds like asking to wake up to a house fire to me.
Killer deal! It’s so small , turned out perfect.
Had one of these growing up in the 90s. I used it more than my parents. Loved that thing
I have a friend that uses the bread machine for all the hard parts of bread baking and then just swap it into a loaf pan to bake.
That's how I've been using mine, you can make them into more shapes instead of limiting to the shape of the bread maker's compartment.
This is the way.
I had a bread machine in the early '90s. I used it a couple of times, and it got put away in an upper cabinet. I enjoy kneading, I enjoy watching the yeast work its magic. I enjoy the smell of bread baking in the oven. Those are things that a bread machine doesn't give you.
That's fine by me I'm lazy af in the kitchen
Wish I wasn't but I struggle
Thanks Mate! I enjoy watching your video shorts
Yes, add wet ingredients first as you did. The aroma from the bread machine once bread is baked is amazing.
We used to have one of those back in the 90s. We quit buying sliced bread and made our own until the machine broke, then we went back to buying sliced bread and never replaced the machine.
We've had one for over 20 years. Love them!
This japanese brand makes one of the best and durable cooking appliances that lasts for a very long time. Bread maker, rice cooker etc.

That's a great price!!
Your videos are perfect.. thank you
I have one, its so great.
this just reminded me that I saw the very same bread machine I used to have at Goodwill the other day, but I hesitated; I gotta get it if it's still there tomorrow, thanks!

My grandparents have one of these, I used to help my grandma make bread all the time. I must admit, it was solid bread.
