    Nice job on the carbon work. That's pretty close to what I've had to do while working on carbon components on aircraft. It's great you did this video too since doing "repairs" like this are one of the advantages of carbon frames over metal bike frames. If (BIG IF) I were to buy a carbon bike and use wireless shifting, dropper post or suspension components that are currently on the market this is exactly what I would due to remove the unnecessary holes in my frame.
    All kidding aside on the "wireless brakes" mentioned in other comments.👍🤣👍 It is technically something that could be done, but again what's the point. There wouldn't be a weight savings since the wireless setup would need batteries for each component, etc... just not worth it in IMHO. However that doesn't make the idea of that kind of technology less cool. Just like Magura's drool worthy ABS system for E-bikes is.. I just can't afford it though!

      I feel as though filling holes on a steel or aluminum frame would be even easier than with carbon because you could send it to an experienced TIG welder.... no?

    • @juanma4777
      @juanma4777 Год назад

      @@RC-fp1tlonce te aluminium is welded because of the heating it will never be the same. And an someone might comment that from an engineering point of view it's possible/sensible/weakens the frame ever so slightly. In practice your frame will brake in that spot once and again. It's very common for aluminium frames used for bike trials to get welded before a year of use has gone by, and the moment the frame is fixed all nearby areas fail. I guess you could re-heat-treat the whole frame though.

    Hi Martín. Ich bin seit ca 11 Stunden am schleifen von meinem ktm mtb. Bisher allerdings nur die Schwinge geschafft. Aber darum geht es nicht. Ich habe vor mein bike im Carbon Look zu lassen und mit einem Hologramm Lack zu lackieren. Ich möchte nur ein paar Akzente mit Kupfer metallic setzen. Meine Frage daher, in welche Schicht soll ich das Pulver für die holographic Optik mischen, in der ersten Klarlack, oder in der zweite /letzen? Danke dir.
    Ps. Nur durch deine hilfreichen Videos habe ich den mit gefasst mein neues bike selbst zu gestalten.

      Ne mal im erst bitte, möchte nichts falsch machen. In einem anderen Video hast du gesagt, man sollte das Pulver erst in der letzen Schicht zufügen, da sonst durch jede weitere Schicht der Lichteinfall gebrochen wird und der Effekt nicht mehr sichtbar wäre. In einem anderen fügst du das schon früher hinzu, so hab ich es zumindest verstanden. Bitte um hilfreiche Antwort. Lg sam
