Painter: Martin Grey Хобби
The only thing downfall to a video like this, is the fact that unless you've been custom painting yourself, it's honestly hard to appreciate just how much time and skill is invested in this paint job. Amazing, simply stunning, nothing less than a work of art. You're a legend Martin
Thank you.
And can we appreciate Martin's steady hand with the knife? I would have gouged the paint so many times when removing the mask!
Amazing job so many steps and one error takes you back to step 1..!!! Well done I never could but appreciate you can!!
You're not just a bicycle painter, Martin, you're an artist, and that is piece of art. I don't know how you do it, because you just keep getting better and better at it, and I greatly appreciate the inspiration. That bike is very beautiful, and bonus for the rim brakes!
'Think of bicycles as rideable art that can just about save the world' - Grant Petersen
Well said! Plus for rim brakes!
Thank you so much
An artist who’s canvas is a bike frame!
What is that sadness in your voice, Martin? To the point, but without flash or humor.
What the heck
What patience you have. My hats off. Excellent work.
I really enjoyed the serious presentation of this video. Sometimes you make your work look so easy. This truly exposed not only your creativity, but high level of concentration. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Your patience (and skill) is extraordinary…
Hi, I’ve opened the can of worms that are your videos & am in awe of your talent, generosity and dedication.
I have to buy a lot of stuff for my home bike paint here in Australia. The Amazon links on videos aren’t working so I’m left with uncertainty around which specific brands / products to use. I also have approached several local sand blasting companies and they aren’t confident about blasting carbon / aluminium hybrid frames as I’ve got. Would be great if you had an international online store with diy packages including everything people might need to get started and possibly even tool libraries so people can rent or borrow super expensive gear setups. 🤘
Yes would be cool. But noone is paying for the I knowledge I spread in my videos. So there is just no money left to invest in shops and libraries
The pattern on this is so fantastic but it looks like a major pain in the ass. Well done Martin.
One of your finest works. Thanks for posting.
Simply gorgeous work; you are an alien, Martin.
That is just absolutely phenomenal work. The patience and time put into that paint job is next level!
Truly fabulous paint job. I love all the colours and the finished article.
You much have put many hours into this frame, even just making the stickers for the inlay colours.
You are truly a master craftsman! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Simply Beautiful, Such attention to detail and the end results speak for themselves. If you were from that era, this is just the Bee's Knees, love it.
i didn't know media blasting could be use to strip carbon frame. amazing!
Martin you are a true artist
Such a beautiful job! Truly a master craftsman, Martin!
Thank you very much!
WOW. Simply amazing. Flawless.
Thanks again!
Beautiful work!
I love the initial white on blue effect, if it had been mine, I would have left it just like that. Great job as always!
I hope you got at least 5 grand for all that work! AMAZING JOB!
Thanks, sadly not.
that mask peeling looks satisfying...especially when it revealed the outline which makes the detail so crisp. awesome paint job.
I love the. Stickers. Omg i love it
Beautiful works of art and unlimited creativity, any type of bicycle can be transformed by a Martin, supported by a comfortable workshop. I am a painter from Indonesia who admires Martin's skills
Thank you very much!
That's absolutely an amazing piece of work. Hats of to you 👏
I can understand his frustration. You do make it look easy. lol!
Klasse Arbeit, tolles Ergebnis 👌 Die Arbeit hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt.
Just amazing!!!
Beautiful!
A truly masterpiece
Omg. Gorgeous painting and frame! Both pieces of art.
Great video! I enjoyed seeing the more intricate parts of a paint job like this, and I definitely have a better appreciation of the time involved now! Please do more like this, it's a great insight. 👌😁
Don't know what to say besides that I don't know what to say. Stunning.

As always, excellent work, what a talent!

Bravo and chapeau!
Great looking bike and as always, your work is top notch! Wondering how all that masking affects pricing. This must really be an expensive paint job
That was an awesome job, beautiful work!
Thank you very much!
Wow Martin, insane work!
Thanks a lot!
Gran trabajo, una obra de arte.
Beautiful!!!! Wish I had those hand or money 🫣 to make something like that!!

Plenty of patience needed, nice job 👍🤩
You got that right!
as usual, fantastic job! thanks!
That is absolutely incredible ❤
Nice Martin! I think this is the first video where you mention polishing after clear. Can you detail the polishing procedure?
I will show some in one of my next videos
Super nice work 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Wow. Absolutely amazing 👍👍
Thank you very much!
Very nice work 🎉🎉🎉
Totally speechless! 🫢
I think Look would want to buy that frame and pot it on a pedestal.
Fantastic Martin! 👏
No they wouldn't. The reason is this is a Colnago frame...
@@humprey2 Aahhh… ok! Well, that’s a shame. Not meant to Martin at all… that was a customers order who wanted a rescue paint job.
I wouldn’t do that - changing brand on my Bianchi. But very much change the colour and theme, like Martin has shown so many times fantastically. He is unique!
wow this LOOKS amazing martin 😁😁😁😁
Seems what people say when they LOOK at it.
So beautiful. It is a true piece of art. Your passion really comes through in this work. LOOK must learn from this work 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Seeing how much work you had to put to make this I would put 5 layers of clear coat 😂
It's a work of art. I hope I start a bicycle company one day and if I do I will beg you to design me a paintscheme.
beautiful!
Impressive!!!
Magnifique!
Awesome work, you make it look so easy ( true pro's do that)
Thanks 👍
😮 spectacular good work…👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you! Cheers!
AWESOME!!!👍
Fantastico!! (as always) - I went to ALOT of effort to do a self build eMTB... I designed the decals,(Anarchy MTB Guiding) I spent a few days spraying it... polishing it... etc etc..I was as happy as you could be with a spray can job, done outside on my roof terrace... It wasn't the best.. but for a first attempt.. I was happy... Then, after 2 rides on the Enduro tracks here, it is chipped.. scratched, and looks like a well used bike (which it is) - and this is on Mallorca, If I had done the same build and used it in my homeland of Scotland, then I don't think it would even be worth painting!! haha...to be honest, I didn't like it looking all shiny and new... and actually love the look it has now.....I'd be too scared to ride one of your fantastic paint jobs..Total Art Martin...
Spray can colors can not be as strong as professional 2K paint systems.
Du wirkst so ungewohnt ruhig, ich hoffe Du bist Ok und hattest einfach noch keinen Kaffee.
Stunning! Not everyone loves Mondrian, but I dig it. Very appropriate for a Look frame. Homage to the La Vie Claire team?
It would have been appropriate, if only this was a Look frame to begin with! This is a Colnago C64 frame. You can't miss it!
King!
Hi martin this bike came out amazing, such great work! As a painter (automotive and cycles) my self i fully understand the insane amount of work involved here!
I was always under the impression you cannot media blast carbon. What are using as media here?
Brilliant technique, super job!! Rgr
you are a fricking legend
As a general rule, more bikes need to be Mondrian.
This is amazing work! Must have cost the customer a fortune!
I think that is why he started to sand it first then sent it to Martin hoping it would remove some labor costs. This is why I think he underlined that it took days to just paint the squares on.
Hallo Martin. Bin absolut begeistert von deinen Videos! Was würdest du für einen Plotter; welches Programm empfehlen??
Grüsse und mach unbedingt weiter mit deinen wertvollen Videos. Danke dir
quite amazing detail / work , I imagine this will have cost three times the value of the frame !
Thanks, no it didn`t.
How much would the frame and respray have cost ?
I have supersix evo hi mod , the black paint flaked off - so Iv razor bladed most of rest / light sanded .
whole bike was 1k pounds , with di2 . As I understand it a respray would be circa 600 for basic respray
thanks Martin @@ETOE
Love watching your work! 🤘also can you share what brand/part number you’re using for removable vinyl and transfer tape 🙏👍
I miss your energy in this video Martin 🥺
Martin. What a stunning labour of love.
Would a clear wrap help protect your masterpeice or cause problems for the paint job?
It's just that I'd be to scared to ride it!
Thanks a lot. Yes but you should wait minimum 10-14 days before you apply protective films on fresh painted bikes.
Очень красиво!
Hey Martin to avoid damage when removing the masking from the frame have you tried the plastic razor blades.. just a thought, Nice work as always..
Thanks, I need the sharp edge of these iron blades.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
