Awesome I'm finally logged in! I love these tutorials. So good! I like that you actually use human words to explain what and why, instead of just "telling me to do x, then telling me to do y" without explaining or anything ...
This helped a lot! and I am a beginner in unity, when I have a person, will it go through the maze walls? Also, the terrain is very spiky even though I thicken the walls.. not a little A LOT! I have done more than 20 attempts but it still doesn't work. I am keep working on it but I never knew there was this great method out there!
Hi, Awesome video. Absolutely Loved it. one Question. How do we apply materials, textures to the maze that we have generated. and is it possible to generate a maze at the runtime?
Hey, check terrain tutorials for texturing, as the result is regular terrain. As for generating at runtime it will be possible... but possibly not that easy. The approach I would suggest is generating an image at runtime, and stamping out the image on the terrain the same way the editor does.. good luck.
@@TheKiwiCoder @TheKiwiCoder thanks alot man. Youre amazing.❤ . Your tutorials are helping me alot. I guess the textures will be uniform right? Means i cannot place different one for walls and different for floors etc. Id have to use probuilder for that. Right?
@@iTalEl0001 There are many different techniques for texturing terrain... try searching for triplanar mapping as an example. It’s also possible to assign a material based on height.
Nice. But, how can the code place an enemy inside the maze. I think this maze is more for decorating and will not add interesting features to a game. How can we add a coliider for the walls? This is just considered 1 game object. No way to determine using code if a player is on a path or colliding with a wall

Woop woop 🙌 Hopefully it was all clear! Good luck with your project 😊
Genius! Using the image as a texture to paint a maze with the terrain tool
I thought so too 😂
I have taken this tutorial to the next level, thanks for introducing this concept to me

I'm Amazed!
Apart from the fact that the code isn't a maze generator, it's a pretty code method.
Your amazing! :D
What mesh did you use? Or... Is a mesh even required? Sorry for the potentionally stupid question, I'm really a beginner
Hey, this is using terrain tools. You can create a new terrain object (mesh) under the game object menu.
I can't found "Terrain Tools" package
Windows>packet manager>pro builder>scroll down till you get to t > click terain tool and install
Who is in 2024
very useful
thanks 👍
U NEED MOVE VIEWS! THANK U SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Since it costs money to use his mazes I created my own maze from scratch
how to make it in 2d
Is it random?
can you put a download link of the game?
one question tho, can i change the texture of the maze..
You can use the terrain tools to paint a texture onto the maze
is there a way to do in unreal 5?
Yes I'm pretty sure unreal has a stamp tool
