recently riot unvealed his final project - aeternus, the new silent clubstep esc top 1 extreme demon / impossible level that is leagues harder than anything like tidal wave or avernus, that even players like zoink and diamond GD cant get 10% on. unsuprisingly, people are hacking world records on the level for clout, and so now im going to start flaming. Since the ship parts seem to be the hardest, Caleger will likely make the most progress for a while. He pretty much owns the ship challenge list and is currently verifying the hardest ship challenge 'EVIL' where every input is frame perfect. Of course Aeternus requires more than just ship skill, but it's probably the best start to verifying it. I don't know what his hardest full length level completion is though
I like how aeternus is so hard that you could replace any one part with VSC and the difficulty would stay the same if not get easier 💀

It seriously blows that these stupid runs are already doing what riot talked about with the teaser of Aeternus, cheaters taking shortcuts to earn popularity.
The views on some of these vids could have went to people (like Caleger or Diamond or me lol), actually attempting to get legitimate progress on the level. I've seen one of these stupid records with about 21k views and the run is so poorly hacked but played off as serious, it doesn't need to even matter how obvious the hacking of the run is it still removes the attention from an actual legitimate run that is deserving of said attention.

The GD community is such an interesting place, because on one hand it's one of the best and most supportive communities (I mean just look at Zoink's Tidal Wave completion the comments are nothing but congratulations and support), but on the other it's a cesspool of hackers endlessly trying to get into the spotlight for even a minute
Im glad Calegar is getting more attention due to his progress on Aeternus, he is probably the best ship player currently and is very underrated
One of the dumbest ones i saw was someone on tiktok just reuploading an aeternus showcase with clicks video and pretending to get 20 something

The funniest part about the guy on the iPhone is that you can play with keyboard or mouse on iPhone. I did for 3 damn months and if this guy had just done his due diligence he could have easily made his clip at the very least slightly believable.

Thank you so much for making this video. I've wanted to make somethinv like this for some time after many hacked videos of Aeternus have been uploaded and believed well legit videos have been called hacked. I was working on Aeternus for some time but dropped it due to hate from people saying I'm hacking. This really does shine some light too the loads of people who don't take this game as seriously as us and believe anything they see is real unless told not too. Its a massive ongoing issue and I hope that stuff like this can start to lessen as time goes on thanks to videos like these

Why verify? If it was impossible then why is it on the server? This means that aeternus was already verified or the creator hack verified it? Why are you not tqlking qbout this?
There's no rule against uploading levels for open verification. It's not star rated or on the demonlist is because it hasn't been verified, but that's it.

What we think of aeternus now is most likely what the comunity thought of silent clubstep when it was first created and so there is a high possibility that aeternus will eventually be verified

So Aeternus will be verified because we thought a 8 years old Impossible level that to day never got beaten was impossible back then? makes sense to me
I do think it's possible that one day in the distant future Aeturnus may be verified but I'm not sure I agree with the logic.
Every level that isn't confirmed humanly impossible can be beaten, even if it takes 20 years. We've pushed the skill limit and still are, so there's no reason why Aeternus shouldn't be verified. But we still obviously aren't gonna beat it for at least a couple years
Even though it looks like I'm defending a hacker, I am just going to mention that you can connect a bluetooth mouse with your iPhone and can actually play levels with it. I've tried this before, and have beaten an easy demon with a bluetooth mouse, but the cursor is invisible, so at random times, you might accidentally close Geometry Dash using a bluetooth mouse.
Please let us know your opinion on the click between frames mod. It would be a very good video and you could pit 1 person from the opposite side and let them battle it out.

I wonder whether this is a problem that will eventually solve itself over time when most of GD's fanbase grows older. If you look at Minecraft for example, most of its content on RUclips a few years ago was clearly for children but right now I'd say the average Minecraft player is probably at least above 18 while most of the children went on to games like Roblox and I think that reflects in the overall community discourse.
When I read the comments under a lot of popular GD videos (especially under those faked ones) it seems very obvious to me that a lot of them are still from children but the game is also a lot younger than Minecraft. Maybe in a few years they will move on to another thing and the players that remain are mostly adults who have stayed with the game.

aeternus will never be beaten. there are some frameperfects in the level that are literally only possible on insanely high fps values (i.e like 500+). at best we will see a nerfed version verified
