It is interesting how people put their money and lot of effort into creating the perfect show car and I give them all credit for that. They create fantastic cars that are worked out into the finest detail, but once you put 20 in a row ... they all start looking the same after the 10th. Again, no disrespect to them, but their cars are all shiny new and have lost their history, something Crusty clearly has and shows.

America is beautiful because of people like you, thanks Mustie.
...there were some quality rides in that bunch... but hearing the exclamations, like the kids laughing at Crusty... was soooo worth it... well done, Sir... you and yours be safe... -e
Mustie- you showed the birds on the Toyota pickup. Here a good one for you. I was driving home from work on a nice warm spring day, I drove up to a traffic light. There was a lady driving a convertible in from of me. A flock of geese flew over and let loose. The waste from the birds hit the roof and hood of my pickup.... and all of the convertible ahead of me. The lady sent out a scream like you would not believe. I happen to have an old sweat shirt in the cab. I jumped out and gave it to her. Trust me it was not enough. The waste hit front and back seats along with most of the dash. I would guess that was the last convertible she ever owned.
My wife took the dogs to the park for a walk today, when she got back she told me there was bird poop on the car, could I wipe it off? Sure Honey. An hour later after using a Scotchbrite and a scraper it was gone, don’t know if it was goose but it sure was some tough stuff.
Was great to ride along with you Mustie. We don't always have to watch you turning wrenches to enjoy your videos. Was an awesome thing that you all did to bring some joy to those that were at home watching.
A fun video of a day out in these difficult times where the town gets involved. I enjoyed the tour around your fine little town. It is so different to what we have here in Australia.
Great to see all those cars out driving instead of stationary at a car show and very nice to hear more of crustys history as it's kind of the channel mascot:)
I wish I had known about this "cruise out" Mustie.....it happened in the town I used to live in and my mom still lives in. Matter of fact you drove through her neighborhood. Must have been a sight to see and I'm glad you and the others were able to put smiles on people's faces after all that's happened in the world lately, but after all, isn't what the car hobby is all about in the first place? Thanks for sharing and taking us for a ride through my old town :)
And thank you for hanging out with me too! I loved the way you went over Crusty for us. You're so talented and knowledgeable. The cruise was complete fun! That was a charitable thing to do. Thanks so much.

Congratulations to all to break the boredom. Kids are always thrilled to see the old iron, and probably will remember the day for a long time to come.

Many years ago I had planned to get one...but coincidentallyWhen I finally got VW Truck in my sights an was soon to make a deal.., my then girlfriend was with child so, sadly my dream truck HAD to remain a DREAM! I was hoping you would eventually break down & give it all the attention it needs to be brought back to its once shiny golden times! I realize you like it this way. Anyhow again if I do come across a serious deal where I can acquire one..(am retiring in the next 2months) I will very slowly bring one back to life...money being what it WILL be.With that said, Like your vids of any an all repairs that you do, from mini bikes to Lawn mowers to The Econoline truck & much much more that you've done! You are appreciated my friend!👍
I never thought Mustie could do it but this brought a tear to my eye. The NE has the best people... Greetings from a PA girl who is stuck in "I don't care" NC.
yeah, i'm an old biker type of dude and it had me tearing up pretty good. God bless America.
I know! Who'd a thunk it eh?
We white people are weird!
Love of country isn't weird.
@@tarstarkusz What does being white have to do with anything? Christ, most everyone is white where I live and they "don't care" about anyone but self.
Yes!!!
Celebrating people’s hard hard work, skills and creativity!
Also, all those people sharing their hard work so others can smile and have some joy!!!
It’s beautiful and nice to see!!
I love watching ur videos!!!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!!
This VW has so much personality! Its like Willie Nelson's old guitar.. I love it!
Thank you mustie, loved the video, keep up the good work, all the best from New Zealand
I loved the tour car show! It warms my heart when I see the people waving at you and you return the salute. Americans are friendly people. Right now we are all united in our fight with this virus. ✌
The most appropriate inspection sticker ever.... and it gets to live with it forever!

Thank you for bringing out Old Faithfull Crusty, bringing a little joy and fun to people having a hard time! Loved it, thumbs up from Denmark :-)
This is one of the kindest things I’ve seen the classic car community do. Just watching this put a smile on my face. I know someone like my disabled brother would count this as one of his favorite days if it drove by his house. This is a wonderful idea and should be done elsewhere. America is beautiful because of people like you, thanks Mustie.
We use to do that every Fr--Sat night here in southern MD. We were riding around and partying and covered 100s of miles a month.

Cheered me right up *Mustie1*
You're the best.
...there were some quality rides in that bunch... but hearing the exclamations, like the kids laughing at Crusty... was soooo worth it... well done, Sir... you and yours be safe... -e
Love that crusty old VW truck. You have some of the cleverest ideas when building your cars, especially bikes. Thank you.
A slice of life, Crustie and Mustie . Thanks for doing this, I really enjoyed it.
That was an awesome thing to do for the community.
Crusty has her own first aid kit? What a lucky girl. Thank you for taking us along! What a happy ride! Beep Beep
I Geese your right. ;-) Kind of you to give the shirt off your back. Thumbs up!
Was an awesome thing that you all did to bring some joy to those that were at home watching.
the rolling car show was a really cool idea
What a great thing to do, brought plenty of smiles to a lot of faces, Crusty was by far the coolest vehicle there !!
A fun video of a day out in these difficult times where the town gets involved. I enjoyed the tour around your fine little town. It is so different to what we have here in Australia.
this event will be talked about 61 years from now
I LOVED it! Fantastic initiative. Thanks a lot for sharing this with us. Greetings from Norway.
Great to see all those cars out driving instead of stationary at a car show and very nice to hear more of crustys history as it's kind of the channel mascot:)
Awesome! Thanks for brightening peoples day!
This is very cool, also crusty is such a cool truck. please make more videos like this, I really enjoyed it. 👍👍
cool video ! thanks. crusty deserves its name, no doubt
Great turnout! Tons of people and tons of great cars
Really nice to see the variety of rides, and giving people a chance to shake off the cobwebs. From both the turnout of cars and people on the roadside I would say a successful day. Congratulations to all to break the boredom. Kids are always thrilled to see the old iron, and probably will remember the day for a long time to come.
Was anyone else waiting for someone to shout "mustie!" on the cruise?
I heard 2! Wasn't the passenger seat crowded? 6,450 on board. Bet it's still climbing. Nice to meet you all :-) I'm David. New Zealander, along for the ride.
Hello David :^)
@@David-yo5ws/videos Heh.
Yeah MUSTIE , excellent idea to take the motors to the people . Has to be done again guys top job . Keep the old iron moving , from lockdown in UK .
David with that many people on board, in that little truck, mu son could only say one thing... Nobody fart!🤧😅😅😅😅
My Newton MA ass loves you Mustie1,. East coast love. Your crusty youtube restoration is Epic, so many chapters...Live long and prosper.
when everything is back to normal, all the people that were out watching yous will not be pissed off when their behind a older slower vehicle or one thats broke down ,they will just have that memoir off this day ,GREAT.
I enjoyed the ride along today. Thanks for sharing Mustie!
Crusty is Kool! That was fun. I remember when there were more VW vans and trucks around. Thanks for posting this.
That was so heart warming. Even in times of crisis people find a way to get together and appreciate cars. That black '68 Roadrunner was badass! Crusty got lots of attention too.
Such a beautiful thing to see a great community I wish we had something like that in our city
Had a VW van in 60s, big sliding doors both sides, front split windscreen. Didn't creak like yours. Absolute fun.
"...wouldn't want to scratch the dash" LOL, I loved it!!
What a nice gesture of all of you - showing your cars for people. And what a nice Crusty, you have there. I haven´t yet seen the series with your rustoration of Crusty, but I definitely will now. Keep up the good work with your channel. I always look forward to up-coming episodes.
