    Chris, I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I'm a very anxious traveler and the first place I went to outside the US in March this year was Morocco (Marrakech and Rabat), which included the 3-day trip in the Sahara. Your review there was SPOT ON! It made me feel so much more comfortable having watched your dedicated review (twice...haha) I even was able to tell the other people in my bus that we could go to whatever restaurant we wanted and they appreciated the tip. We also were able to say goodbye to the interesting people we met before we got separated on the last overnight--which again you warned us about. Your videos are making me want to go back to Morocco. My husband loves traveling in the Middle East. Have you ever been to Jordan?

    • @ChrisKermis
      @ChrisKermis  Год назад +1

      I'm really glad it was helpful to you. I made that video as I couldn't find any information online about it at the time and could have done with that kind of info myself.
      I love travelling in the Middle East too and have indeed been to Jordan, though that was long before I started making videos on RUclips. Back in 2011 I did a trip overland through Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. It was an amazing experience!

      As a moroccan, i’m very happy that you enjoyed you’re journey in our country. You will be always welcomed and you still have so much places to visit. Juste one important information, Morocco is not in middle east, in fact, we are very far away from it. I know that in US you tend to put all arabe countries as middle east, wich is a wrong fact. First, Morocco is not arabe, it’s actually a berber or Amazigh country, and amazighs lives all over north Africa. Arabes came in this region in middle ages, and our language is a mix of amazigh, arabic, and latin. Second, middle east starts from egypte in west to arabic peninsula in east, wich is at least 5000 km away from Morocco. Geographicly, Morocco is considered a north african country composed of amazigh people at 90%. We prefer to be related to Africa people more than arabs or middle east populations. Hope you will come back again !

  • @sergiosaenz859
    @sergiosaenz859 3 месяца назад

    The city is loaded with history and it is cool... I love the vibe in Tangiers. The only negative thing was the scammers, especially those selling rugs and perfumes/medicines in the Medina.... and the false tourist guides. If you say hi, you can never get rid of them,. They expect a tip even for a hello..... and they take you to shops and you are "kidnapped" there until you buy anything... The persistence of vendors. The ask so outrageous prices, laughable. Hard not to insult them but I did feel taken as stupid. I am not American, but they assumed I was(?). It is a region where people can speak and understand Spanish. Warning: Also if you are a woman traveling alone, the males will complain about your presence in a coffee shop or anywhere (my wife and my cousin were treated poorly sometimes when I was not there.) The food is really good. The archaeology museum is small but it has very beautiful and curated pieces.

      Every city in Morocco has its own character For example, Tangier and Tetouan because they were occupied by Spain so the Spanish character remained there
