It’s my town.After living in the UK for 34 years I’m sad that Tetouan will be home to thousands s of tourists in the future… I wanted it to remain my gem ❤
It certainly deserves to get more tourists, but I was certainly glad to see it like it is now ❤️
We unknowingly booked a tour from Marbella to Tetouan. We saw Morocco day trip and booked assuming it was Tangiers. We have never been to Tangiers either so nothing to compare to. After we booked I read the description closer and realized this was a different city. I watched this podcast the night before just get reassurance I would not be disappointed and i was not.
Tetouan is a masterpiece , welcome to my city Brother .

I'm Moroccan and I never been to that to Tetouan but it holds a special place in my heart. The people from that city are so nice and chill and the vibe that gives is like old Morocco mixed with all the good stuff.

Looks like a nice day trip or maybe a longer stay if you're on the long end of an extended stay. Thanks for your work showing us some of the places off the beaten path. How are the bus systems in general? 🤔
Absolutely, I spent a few nights there on a longer stay and was happy with that. Well worth a day trip from Tangier though on a shorter stay. The buses in Morocco are pretty good in my experience. I usually just book my outward journey when I arrive.

How can you get to the seaside from Tetouan?
Hey, thanks! 12 days isn’t long so you won’t get too far beyond the big sights. It’s all depends on how you travel and what you like to see of course. What I can say is that the train between Casablanca and Tangier is superb. Fast, comfortable and cheap so makes travel between a breeze

Have a great time there! BTW I haven’t used mapsme (never heard of it) and I wouldn’t bother going to the seaside from Tetouan, just do that from Tangier if you’re in that area
