The Dispatch Master has already picked up a Premier Gear Award from PG and rightly so in my opinion. Featuring a gorgeously warm digital delay (0-2000ms) and a room-to-cavern reverb, either of which can be used independently or in tandem, the Dispatch Master leaves little wanting in the ambient department. EQD really did get it right with this one. There's good reason why I've utilised it in my last four or so videos - it just sounds great. Also the Dispatch Master is inexpensive, has a small footprint, and is very simple to use. I cannot fault this pedal.

Guitar: 1992 CIJ '62 Jazzmaster RI with American Vintage RI pickups.
Amp: Carl Martin Custom Shop 50 2x12 Combo (V30's).
Extra effects: N/A
Cables: Free The Tone
Mic: Violet Design The Amethyst (amp) Samson Airline77 (me)
Camera : Canon 60D (me) and Sony HDR CX150 (pedal)
Soundcard: AVID Mbox Pro 3
Computer: Apple iMac 27" i7 3.4 GHz 16 GB RAM
Software: Pro Tools 11, Waves CLA Guitars (slight comp over input track), Waves L3-16 Limiter (to keep levels in check at output), Apple Final Cut Pro X (video editing and RUclips compression).

2 years on, I'm still saying this is the best of its kind for a reverb/delay combo in a simple interface.
Brett, in your opinion who would win the race between this pedal and the new Wampler?

I'm an Akron native and this is difficult for me to say. Aside from this pedal, the hoof fuzzes, and the Night wire, the rest are too out there for me. In fact, I wouldn't have even given the Night wire a chance until I saw your demo of it. Tremolo isn't my thing, but envolope filter and phase shifting is. A testament to your demo skills. Cheers!
I have my ckk space station reverb and I love it but after seeing your demo m thinking of selling and pick the earthquake.
This will become a classic pedal. Very well thought out, easy to use, sound wonderful, offers so much. Win.

I just got this pedal and I can't believe I went so long without it.
I was going to buy it at my local guitar shop today but bought a JHS morning glory and JHS angry Charlie instead. Perhaps I'll get it next week.

Hello Brett, Great playing on 'My Favorite Things" also I have seen many of your videos, and I believe you demonstrate the more musical side of these pedals. Peace
I've had this pedal for about a year now and it's still one of my favs! I like to crank the delay time and set it just low enough in the mix so there's a constant ambience under my solos. It really fills out the space beautifully if you need it.
I used to do this with holy grail in fx loop of memory man TT, but super finicky, tough to nail for every room/mix, thinking about this for sure

Talk about entertaining, this is what I like about Bergs, we're supposed to be honing in as musicians to gather up all the juicy little tips, but I just get such a kick out of the approach, thanks for 'my favorite things' very subtle. It's a smokey pedal that works it's way in very sneeky. Out of this corner for a second, mate you would have to be one of the most entertaining rockabilly country guitarist I've ever heard and that ain't many as it's not really my thing, but it's a lot of fun!

Everyone knows by now that the pedal is excellent for ambient sounds. Why not play some overdriven sounds to show if it can serve as a Reverb and Delay pedal for every day and other music styles? Would that have been too much to ask?

Using the vibrato bar when you have only the delay dialed up makes it difficult to hear just how much of the effect is from the pedal.
sensible format too. These giant format pedals with 20 controls are too big and too fussy. Great tones with simple controls mean you can focus on playing

Love the song choice - great playing... Great ambience! I currently have two pedals doing this job: Subdecay Spring Theory and Hermida EPH-3 both amazing pedals... This is SO immediate though.
I was interested in this pedal until a secondhand diaster SR came up for 200 pounds on eBay :) was slighty above my budget but I felt I would regret passing that one by :) its now in the post :)

Depends on if your amp has a knob for that on the back, which I should mention most do not. Most the time though, you are correct

Hey Brett, I read some people have issues with clipping in extreme settings (like MAX repeat, MIN time) have you had issues? any advice? I seem to get it when I use the pedal on bass guitar

Nice demo! The delay seems to be very good and it sounds like if you had a modulation. Reverb is good also. I really like it!

I can't imagine my pedalboard without the EarthQuaker Devices Dispatch Master and the Hermida EPH-3. The Dispatch Master works perfectly with both acoustic and electric guitars; it also sounds great in conjunction with some organic-sounding overdrive pedals.

They're both great; however, my guess is that the Dispatch Master is a smart echo/reverb choice if you want to save space on your pedal board. I somehow find this pedal more discrete and transparent for most applications.

Considering how fantastic this pedal is I can't wait to see more demo's of the new Avalanche Run from EQD. Seems the Avalanche Run will be a slightly more featured version of this great pedal. Great demo, man. :)

Not sure if I can/should ask this....but out of all the Reverb and/or reverb + features pedals...do you have a top 3? This pedal seems pretty rad.
+atomic6120 That's a very valid question and the answer is that I would rate this pedal up in my top 5 along with Eventide, Fractal Audio, Waves and Keeley (various mediums but all top-notch). It's a definite keeper and I use it often.

Its a great idea to mix both in one pedal and it sounds well done too. I imagine if I was starting out with a board this would be the first pedal to get and then a TS or transparent od.
