This episode had so many awesome moments. Marc and Steven flawlessly switching while fighting, Layla's conversation with Taweret and her amazing costume, and of course Jake! My favourite MCU show so far!

Moon Knight is by far my favorite MCU show. I really hope it returns for a season 2 and the Moon Knight is shown in other MCU movies as well. He has a lot of potential.

Back in episode 2 when Konshu said "you may not like my next candidate as near and dear as they are" he was never talking about Layla he was talking about Jake. And that's why Konshu was quick when he gave his word to release "the both of you"
but Konshu said "near and dear as she is to you" Konshu said "she" that's why he thought it was aimed to layla, btw i just rewatched the ep2 so I'm clear about what he said.

I’m so impressed with this finale. I was seriously worried but I had hope because Jeremy Slater came back to write this one… and it just goes to show how important good writing is. They were also smart to keep the big cgi fight in the dark and keep it short and sweet too. Marc and Layla going up against the goons in the street was some sick fight choreography. And that finale! Chefs kiss.

I can def say with confidence Moon Knight has been one of the best MCU shows that drives the plot forward in a world building context. Hawk-Eye was nice but fell flat on the long run.
I think Hawkeye did prefect for the shows low budget. I rank Hawkeye above Falcon and winter Soldier, what if and WandaVision but I respect your opinion. Also sorry for my bad English 😊

I got spoiled a week ago that the episode is only 40+ minutes long. This got me worried that the last episode might disappoint. I'm glad I was wrong! This is awesome!
This episode has a great ending perfect 10/10 marc is bad ass but can hold himself then steven is an innocent man who never stops being positive and funny the jake the most ruthless has no mercy and doesnt holdback

Layla did warn Taweret about that power up being temporary, but I would like the showrunners to continue exploring the possibility. Harrow received his comeuppance. That was some gangland shit. The ending being so open ended means there should definitely be a second season.
The thing is not even marc knew about jake untill few episodes ago Thats why he asked steven if he killed the kids in previous episodes and in this one Now they are both aware hence at the end even marc was straped to the bed Im guessing they may make a movie or season 2 for jake

It definitely takes place after the Blip, since you can see ads for the GRC, the organization introduced in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, on a bus in the second episode. Time otherwise isn't really a factor. This entire show can stand on its own, no matter if set in late 2023 or 2024.
I loved that episode and loved Laylas version of “The Scarlet Scarab” And when the Midnight Suns finally come together ( Daredevil, Blade, Moonknight, Punisher and Ghostrider and quite possibly Black knight / Kit Harrington ) will blow our fkn minds🔥🔥
Marc going back to save Steven was my favorite part of this episode. It was a beautiful scene. Jake Lockley is a savage, I like him. Loved your reaction.
I think they’re going slow with Oscar Isaac and aren’t binding him to a long commitment as he was with Star Wars. Probably going project by project when he’s available and willing to jump back in.
Marvel and Kevin Feige has said in general, they don’t want to bind any actors to long contracts anymore so any new heroes/villains we see will be project by project
Episode 1 of Season 2 Marc and Steven get suspicious about the third person/Jake. Then in episode 3 while Jake is being an assassin for khonshu, Steven yells out through a mirror "What are you doing marc!" And Jake speaks back in his language to piss off and Marc says to Steven "That's not me".
Layla's Super hero name is "The Scarlet Scarab" they literally showed us a hint & clue when we saw her in the asylum she had a scarlet Scarab on her bandage on her finger plus the scarab that's been in the show the whole time & the lady who made her passport said her dad used to call her his lil Scarab. :)
Even though they didn’t show what happened I personally believe that Jake has the ability to transmute himself and become intangible like a Spectre which is how he was able to get from under the staff and because he has the ability not to be touched but can touch other people at will is how he was able to kill everybody brutally and then give back the body to Mark and Steven. Think Doctor Strange and the Astro plane, Astro projecting himself or being intangible at will but with the ability to affect things around him. Which makes him the most brutal and effective killer out of the three of them.

In episode 3 a London bus had a banner on it advertising The Global Repatriation Council.. which means Moon Knight is definitely set post blip. I think that's about as precise as it gets on-screen
How is it that nobody seems to notice Jake in several of these scenes? We’ve seen the personality a few times in episode 5 and 6. He has a bronx accent! Unless he’s actually Spanish… in which case I have no idea
So happy you guys published early. If it wasn't for you I would have gone too long without seeing the end credits seen. Here I was thinking I had 5 episodes of Emeril Lagasse meal, and for the 6th episode there was a root beer float dessert. Now that root beer and ice cream was top notch, but I mean it just kind of felt rushed and incomplete. Then you guys stopped me before I left the restaurant and BAMMM!!! Spike with the Jake Lockley spice! So awesome. I think Moon Knight could interact with Black Panther via Bast and Khonshu. I think Marc Spectre/Jake Lockley/Steven Grant would be really compatable with Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier/White Wolf as troubled men seeking to do good who have ties to mystical lands and have mental issues to cope with.
I'm not judging this by episodes... I'm judging the entire series as one. This show could've easily been in theaters and would've done well. Phenomenal acting from Oscar Isaac and Excellent writing and directing.🏆
My theory is that Jake is Marc's representation/memory of his late mother who abused him. Like how it is in real life where sometimes an abused child later grows up becoming similar to his/her abused parent. Marc has been repressing his memory of his mother so in a way he is repressing Jake as well physically and mentally. It might be possible that Jake was born through the beatings when Steven was dominant and was created for the sole purpose to withstand the beatings. I dunno, I'm just theorizing but Oscar Isaac has definitely killed it with his performance in MK. One of the best MCU series so far in awhile and currently my top series just ahead of Loki and Wandavision.
I wonder what Jake role will be from now on. Because clearly Mark and Steven doesn't know when he shows up and doesn't have any memories at all. And Khonshu knows that and Jake is definetly Khonhu's failsafe.
I imagine "I'll fight him on my own" meant "I won't be your Avatar", because she'd seen what that did to Marc, hence why she was reluctant to be one until things got dire ^Not that she was disagreeing with bringing Marc back. That was a no-brainer :P
The way Layla blended in with Harrow's crew was the most amazing part of the show. Just climbing into the vehicles and mixing with them like she belonged 😆. Amazing....
I love the whole episode of asylum but i can't help but think of the plot holes. How could Marc's heart balanced after losing Steven while Jake was still lurking around?? The director said Jake's heart wasn't weighted because Marc was not aware of his existence thus is not responsible for him. I don't like that explanation. I feel like after Jake's appearance of killing Ammit's followers at the rooftop, he must've suspected a 3rd persona that is more violent, thus why he refused to open the shaking sarcophagus. Also Marc and Steven quite literally walked through Osiris's gate of resurrection, while Jake is still in the sarcophagus, or some think he's sedated in the psych ward after losing his shit on Dr Harrow. Either way, he should still be on Taweret's boat. How did he rejoin Marc and Steven to resurrect?? They separated his souls into 3 independent and separate individuals so i thought he couldn't be back. But are they truly 3-in-1 package now? I'm curious about the s2, I wanna know since Khonshu now only deals with Jake, does that mean he still has power over the other two. If Jake reverts to either one while on a mission, I wonder if they'd still be Khonshu's avatar.
Now i want to see Jake Lockley Moon Knight costume . It will be so amazing . And if three personalities can work together i will be full power Moon Knight.
The Ammit and Khonsu`s Kaiju Battle was fantastic. Khonshu is the God of gaslighting. Switching between Moon Knight and Mr. Knight in the fight scenes was badass. Moon Knight, Mr. Knight, and Layla vs. Arthur Harrow were extraordinary scenes. Layla's superhero suit looked marvelous. Give Oscar Issac's all the Emmy awards. I loved the limo and Khnoshu's tailor suit in easter eggs in the post-credits. This limo comes from the comics, specifically the 2014 Knights of the Moon series by Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey, and Jordie Bellaire. Well, Khonshu is visiting Mr. Knight's tailor! The image of Khonshu in costume frequently appeared in Jeff Lemire and Greg Smallwood's 2016 series Moon Knight, which provided much of the inspiration for this television series. Overall, I enjoyed the Moon Knight TV series. My favorite part of this episode was Layla rescuing the Egyptian girl and she asked Are you an Egyptian superhero? The Layla and Taweret team-up was also amazing. Jake Lockley was giving me hit-man vibes. The shot of Moon Knight flying into the Moon was dope.
The show definitely takes place after Endgame. There are ads for the GRC from Falcon and Winter Soldier on the double decker buses in the first 2 episodes.
You guys rule and are so much fun to watch. Oh and another reference they made was Taweret talking about the ancestral plains afterlife or whatever its called from Black Panther, and infact Bast is seen as the panther god statue in the Sacred Meeting Chambers or whatever though its avatar did not show up for the meetings / binding of Khonshu. Which I would assume their avatar is probably Black Panther in wakanda. So I think bast is just chilling in the wakanda area instead of egypt.
Layla's hero name is Scarlet Scarab. The character she is based on is super old and niche, to the point that almost nobody knows or cares about him. Scarlet Scarab was a protector of Egypt during World War 2 who fought against Captain America because he opposed any foreign intervention in Egyptian lands, as he was an Egyptian nationalist. His powers were the generic set of superpowers in old comics: super strength, flight, energy blasts. His only unique one was that he could drain a person's life force by making physical contact with them, a reference to mummification. Layla's version of the character is extremely different, reworked to be a modern protector of Egypt, as well as fitting more in line with Moon Knight's role as a "super martial artist" type hero. She's already way cooler than the original Scarlet Scarab ever was.
If you go back and watch the first episode, there is an ad on the side of one of the London busses for the organization responsible for resettling persons returning from the Blip.
I nearly shed a tear again when Marc was talking to Steven in the dunes. What a way to mummy-wrap it up. Finally a post-credit scene. I knew it was him ("taxi driver" 😉) when Moon Knight took down Harrow and his thugs "off-camera". There should be a season 2. I know it was announced this is a limited-series. But cmon now!
Layla superhero name is Scarlet Scarab which was setup since the beginning with her father nicknaming his little scarab, she has a red scarab tattoo on her arm, and Taweret putting a red scarab on the chest of her costume because she talked with Layla's dad.
Marvel fans with keen eyes and ears have figured out who Layla actually is: She is a full reboot of the very unknown Marvel hero, Scarlet Scarab, who was originally a man named Abdul Faoul. Layla's last name is El-Faouly and her father's name was Abdul, Abdul El-Faouly. (Layla herself is fully original to this show)
Ok so now, imagine if the second season is....Moon Knight, who kill people with Jake Lockley personnality but nobody know that, not Steve or Marc but there is more and more murders so a red devil in suit want to stop him. Charlie Cox and Oscar Isaac in the same show, on Khonshu's name i need it !
The temporary moment of the series is that of "Falcon and the Winter Soldier", since a World Repatriation Council poster appears on the bus, that is, it is at the moment they are trying to relocate all those who returned from the blip.
I think also on one of the buses we see the logo for the foundation made that happened after the snap so I do think it at least gives us a pretty close timeline update as to when we are

He spent most of his life blaming himself for the loss of his little brother and he didn't want to spend an eternity in bliss thinking about the one he sacrificed to be whole. I can see why he gave it up. I hope Layla stays an as Taweret's avatar, and I suspect that she will--she saw how that little girl looked up to her when asked if she was an Egyptian superhero. Layla didn't have that sort of role model growing up, and she seems poised to inspire girls all across Egypt =D This was short, but they tied up everything in the time they had. I'm okay with this. When Mr. Knight appeared in the second episode, you can see an ad for the GRC on the double-decker bus during the "fancy drunk" fight, so this series is set after the snap!
Honestly, Marc was an idiot. Khonsu doesnt sound like Ammit. He is judging her and Harrow based on their actions. He merely points out that Ammit will kill again if they dont end her. He does not want to kill her because her future actions, the past plays a big role.
I think he meant Konshu wasn't giving him a choice to take someone else's life or not. Because Konshu is going on about free will and denying Marc his right to it.
Im just laughing at the kaijua battle betwwen ammit and konshou where khonsou is taking L after L 😂😂😂 and if you see the sand there's a shoe print near the bed which implies that he's still doing thing unconscious since marc/steven is bare footed when they trip. Khonsou played both of them. I have a feeling that jake is born from the anger and abuse that marc suppress. That's why he's violent Also...laylaaaaaaaa 😍 im awestruck at how beautiful she was with her avatar costume side by side with her husband moonknight 😍😍
The only thing I can think of that would be a reference to when this is taking place in the MCU is a banner (On a bus I believe.) for the group that's helping displaced people recover from the "snap",(Or the undoing of the snap rather.) so this must take place at least some point after Endgame.

Y'all just don't pay attention to the accents, mannerism & body language, Jake Lockley spoke on tge beginning of episode 5 & he spoke again on episode 6 before the lost credit scene any time you hear him say the word "Doc" that's Jake not Marc or Steven, every time Doctor Harrow spoke to Steven or Marc he always says there name while speaking to them, & anytime he'd speak to Jake i knew it was Jske cause Doctor Harrow wouldn't say his name cause he knows theres a 3rd but doesn't know his 3rd's name lol! Loved this show 10/10 overall from me. So far my favorite show.

Even though the finale was a little underwhelming, I LOVED the crap out of this show. Also, hello, Jake Lockely! Again, I'd like to reiterate that this show deserves ALL the Emmys, especially Oscar Isaac. However, I also think that Ethan Hawke needs some love. He delivered a phenomenal performance throughout the show. Also also, to see Layla as a hero, possessed by Taweret, warmed my soul. Ammit and Khonshu? Whoa. I sincerely hope that this show gets renewed for Season 2. I think it deserves it. To the people who will complain about the ending, I say it worked out for what the whole concept of Moon Knight is. In my personal opinion, I think what I saw was real (but who knows?). Overall, this show is in my top 3 all-time favorite MCU Disney Plus shows so far. I enjoyed watching it.
I think layla fouly is based on layla miller who became the butterfly in the comics. The different thing is she's a mutant but here she became the avatar of taweret but her mutant powers aligned with taweret powers. Regenerative powers like resurrection, healings and defense against psychic attacts
Jake was always there in the beginning, Jake took punishment/pain.....He was the protector of the three....Steve never protected- Jake did.....Jake was the harden one from their attacks. Khanchu knew from the beginning .... Also Harrow because of being the avatar....he left because he wanted justice quicker than Khanchu- so he went to Croc deity.
At the finale's conclusion of Marc-Steven waking tethered to their bed to constrain unconscious roaming, as Steven did in the premiere, evinces that Marc-Steven suspect they have another Alter who presides while they're unconscious. As evidenced in the after credit of Jake chauffeuring Khonshu in the Spector limmobile to apprehend and assassinate Arthur..
We also got a Black Panther reference from Taweret when she clearly mentioned the ANCESTRAL PLANE and how gorgeous it is. Sadly, I'm not holding my breath for a season 2 but I heard that Moon Knight MIGHT appear in the next Dr. Strange movie.
In the timeline, it's likely somewhere around the same time as Falcon and the Winter Soldier - we are GRC trucks in early episodes, which was introduced in FATWS
Maybe I'm over analysing things but isn't the suit of Jake shown in every episode ending sequence where the other 2 suits are? As I see it the four Moon Knights are shown at least in the last episode ending sequence in the following order: Arthur, Jake, Mark and Steven.

MCU Jake has moved up in the world, traditionally he is a cab driver, but here...he is a limo driver, and his master's Assassin.

It definitely takes place after the Blip, since you can see ads for the GRC, the organization introduced in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, on a bus in the second episode. Time otherwise isn't really a factor. This entire show can stand on its own, no matter if set in late 2023 or 2024.

There is also a freeze frame bonus of Marc's passport in the second episode, which was issues during the blip, indicating he survived it.

Episode 1 of Season 2 Marc and Steven get suspicious about the third person/Jake. Then in episode 3 while Jake is being an assassin for khonshu, Steven yells out through a mirror "What are you doing marc!" And Jake speaks back in his language to piss off and Marc says to Steven "That's not me".
Layla's Super hero name is "The Scarlet Scarab" they literally showed us a hint & clue when we saw her in the asylum she had a scarlet Scarab on her bandage on her finger plus the scarab that's been in the show the whole time & the lady who made her passport said her dad used to call her his lil Scarab. :)
Even though they didn’t show what happened I personally believe that Jake has the ability to transmute himself and become intangible like a Spectre which is how he was able to get from under the staff and because he has the ability not to be touched but can touch other people at will is how he was able to kill everybody brutally and then give back the body to Mark and Steven. Think Doctor Strange and the Astro plane, Astro projecting himself or being intangible at will but with the ability to affect things around him. Which makes him the most brutal and effective killer out of the three of them.

So happy you guys published early. If it wasn't for you I would have gone too long without seeing the end credits seen. Here I was thinking I had 5 episodes of Emeril Lagasse meal, and for the 6th episode there was a root beer float dessert. Now that root beer and ice cream was top notch, but I mean it just kind of felt rushed and incomplete. Then you guys stopped me before I left the restaurant and BAMMM!!! Spike with the Jake Lockley spice! So awesome.
I think Moon Knight could interact with Black Panther via Bast and Khonshu. I think Marc Spectre/Jake Lockley/Steven Grant would be really compatable with Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier/White Wolf as troubled men seeking to do good who have ties to mystical lands and have mental issues to cope with.
I'm not judging this by episodes... I'm judging the entire series as one. This show could've easily been in theaters and would've done well. Phenomenal acting from Oscar Isaac and Excellent writing and directing.🏆
My theory is that Jake is Marc's representation/memory of his late mother who abused him. Like how it is in real life where sometimes an abused child later grows up becoming similar to his/her abused parent. Marc has been repressing his memory of his mother so in a way he is repressing Jake as well physically and mentally. It might be possible that Jake was born through the beatings when Steven was dominant and was created for the sole purpose to withstand the beatings. I dunno, I'm just theorizing but Oscar Isaac has definitely killed it with his performance in MK. One of the best MCU series so far in awhile and currently my top series just ahead of Loki and Wandavision.
I wonder what Jake role will be from now on. Because clearly Mark and Steven doesn't know when he shows up and doesn't have any memories at all. And Khonshu knows that and Jake is definetly Khonhu's failsafe.

The way Layla blended in with Harrow's crew was the most amazing part of the show. Just climbing into the vehicles and mixing with them like she belonged 😆. Amazing....
I love the whole episode of asylum but i can't help but think of the plot holes. How could Marc's heart balanced after losing Steven while Jake was still lurking around?? The director said Jake's heart wasn't weighted because Marc was not aware of his existence thus is not responsible for him. I don't like that explanation. I feel like after Jake's appearance of killing Ammit's followers at the rooftop, he must've suspected a 3rd persona that is more violent, thus why he refused to open the shaking sarcophagus.
Also Marc and Steven quite literally walked through Osiris's gate of resurrection, while Jake is still in the sarcophagus, or some think he's sedated in the psych ward after losing his shit on Dr Harrow. Either way, he should still be on Taweret's boat. How did he rejoin Marc and Steven to resurrect?? They separated his souls into 3 independent and separate individuals so i thought he couldn't be back. But are they truly 3-in-1 package now? I'm curious about the s2, I wanna know since Khonshu now only deals with Jake, does that mean he still has power over the other two. If Jake reverts to either one while on a mission, I wonder if they'd still be Khonshu's avatar.

The Ammit and Khonsu`s Kaiju Battle was fantastic. Khonshu is the God of gaslighting. Switching between Moon Knight and Mr. Knight in the fight scenes was badass. Moon Knight, Mr. Knight, and Layla vs. Arthur Harrow were extraordinary scenes. Layla's superhero suit looked marvelous. Give Oscar Issac's all the Emmy awards. I loved the limo and Khnoshu's tailor suit in easter eggs in the post-credits. This limo comes from the comics, specifically the 2014 Knights of the Moon series by Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey, and Jordie Bellaire. Well, Khonshu is visiting Mr. Knight's tailor! The image of Khonshu in costume frequently appeared in Jeff Lemire and Greg Smallwood's 2016 series Moon Knight, which provided much of the inspiration for this television series. Overall, I enjoyed the Moon Knight TV series. My favorite part of this episode was Layla rescuing the Egyptian girl and she asked Are you an Egyptian superhero? The Layla and Taweret team-up was also amazing. Jake Lockley was giving me hit-man vibes. The shot of Moon Knight flying into the Moon was dope.

Oh and another reference they made was Taweret talking about the ancestral plains afterlife or whatever its called from Black Panther, and infact Bast is seen as the panther god statue in the Sacred Meeting Chambers or whatever though its avatar did not show up for the meetings / binding of Khonshu. Which I would assume their avatar is probably Black Panther in wakanda. So I think bast is just chilling in the wakanda area instead of egypt.
Layla's hero name is Scarlet Scarab. The character she is based on is super old and niche, to the point that almost nobody knows or cares about him. Scarlet Scarab was a protector of Egypt during World War 2 who fought against Captain America because he opposed any foreign intervention in Egyptian lands, as he was an Egyptian nationalist. His powers were the generic set of superpowers in old comics: super strength, flight, energy blasts. His only unique one was that he could drain a person's life force by making physical contact with them, a reference to mummification.
Layla's version of the character is extremely different, reworked to be a modern protector of Egypt, as well as fitting more in line with Moon Knight's role as a "super martial artist" type hero. She's already way cooler than the original Scarlet Scarab ever was.

Layla superhero name is Scarlet Scarab which was setup since the beginning with her father nicknaming his little scarab, she has a red scarab tattoo on her arm, and Taweret putting a red scarab on the chest of her costume because she talked with Layla's dad.
Marvel fans with keen eyes and ears have figured out who Layla actually is: She is a full reboot of the very unknown Marvel hero, Scarlet Scarab, who was originally a man named Abdul Faoul. Layla's last name is El-Faouly and her father's name was Abdul, Abdul El-Faouly. (Layla herself is fully original to this show)

Marc sees Steven as a brother now. I like it! He spent most of his life blaming himself for the loss of his little brother and he didn't want to spend an eternity in bliss thinking about the one he sacrificed to be whole. I can see why he gave it up.
I hope Layla stays an as Taweret's avatar, and I suspect that she will--she saw how that little girl looked up to her when asked if she was an Egyptian superhero. Layla didn't have that sort of role model growing up, and she seems poised to inspire girls all across Egypt =D

Honestly, Marc was an idiot. Khonsu doesnt sound like Ammit. He is judging her and Harrow based on their actions. He merely points out that Ammit will kill again if they dont end her. He does not want to kill her because her future actions, the past plays a big role.
I think he meant Konshu wasn't giving him a choice to take someone else's life or not. Because Konshu is going on about free will and denying Marc his right to it.

The only thing I can think of that would be a reference to when this is taking place in the MCU is a banner (On a bus I believe.) for the group that's helping displaced people recover from the "snap",(Or the undoing of the snap rather.) so this must take place at least some point after Endgame.

Y'all just don't pay attention to the accents, mannerism & body language, Jake Lockley spoke on tge beginning of episode 5 & he spoke again on episode 6 before the lost credit scene any time you hear him say the word "Doc" that's Jake not Marc or Steven, every time Doctor Harrow spoke to Steven or Marc he always says there name while speaking to them, & anytime he'd speak to Jake i knew it was Jske cause Doctor Harrow wouldn't say his name cause he knows theres a 3rd but doesn't know his 3rd's name lol! Loved this show 10/10 overall from me. So far my favorite show.

To the people who will complain about the ending, I say it worked out for what the whole concept of Moon Knight is.
In my personal opinion, I think what I saw was real (but who knows?).
Overall, this show is in my top 3 all-time favorite MCU Disney Plus shows so far. I enjoyed watching it.
I think layla fouly is based on layla miller who became the butterfly in the comics. The different thing is she's a mutant but here she became the avatar of taweret but her mutant powers aligned with taweret powers. Regenerative powers like resurrection, healings and defense against psychic attacts
Jake was always there in the beginning, Jake took punishment/pain.....He was the protector of the three....Steve never protected- Jake did.....Jake was the harden one from their attacks. Khanchu knew from the beginning .... Also Harrow because of being the avatar....he left because he wanted justice quicker than Khanchu- so he went to Croc deity.
Personally, I love the smooth switches between Marc and Steven :)

As evidenced in the after credit of Jake chauffeuring Khonshu in the Spector limmobile to apprehend and assassinate Arthur..
We also got a Black Panther reference from Taweret when she clearly mentioned the ANCESTRAL PLANE and how gorgeous it is.
Sadly, I'm not holding my breath for a season 2 but I heard that Moon Knight MIGHT appear in the next Dr. Strange movie.
