Awesome work Ryan 👍 I've learned so much from you about fish, your vids especially are super informative and the footage you get of the fish is so beautiful!
Hey Hoon! Cheers from fish room channel in Chicago, where I just subscribed to yours. I can't believe I just found your channel until now. Better late than never. Hope to see you at my place soon.
These look very lovely. I too prefer naturally sandy substrate and when I had South American tetras, I found they often looked best on natural sand despite the books saying use black. I had noticed these C. Upper Tor already, possibly from you or Bentley. It's nice to learn a bit more about them.😊
@@lilynorthover8378 Thanks for checking it out! I agree that natural sand cab make tetras really pop too! There are/were Upper Tor in Scotland and Ireland from Johannes/Gary's collection. But some of the UK shops should also have access to the Indonesian bred ones!
@swatch12345 They're not very similar or conparable other than color. Parva are of the Melanotaenia genus. Parva are short and stocky, only displaying color for parts of the day. Whereas Chilatherina are a streamlined body shaped genus, with many species showing color throughout the day.
They look great but Bozys are still the king of rainbows. Mine are near 6" at 6 years old. ok,a bit of a brag-lol, my aquarium is there forever home. Also the largest has gotten such a deep body it's like an Angelfish with short fins. They make a show!
Thank you for helping me to understand how I could enhance the colors on my fish.
So vibrant!!!
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
Very well narrated Ryan. They are a belting fish. I especially like the red coloured ones.
Thanks Rod! I hope they become more widespread globally in the future. I wonder if there are opportunities to line breed other rainbowfish as well
Lovely!
Well narrated. Visuals are great.
@@robertfaber6796 thank you! I appreciate it

Awesome!!! More! More!!
@drockingfish Thanks! I don't have any other videos currently in the works, but will likely make one on Melanotaenia pygmaea once they grow out!
@@HoonAquatics ok cool, when will you be selling on getgills again?
@drockingfish Unfortunately, I don't currently have plans to continue selling fish anymore.

How do they compare to parva?
