Great video, just did this today, for everyday people that know no better the traxxas plugs and chargers work fine but the 6700 has a 3c maximum charge rate , witch is 20amps you won’t get get kind of power out of traxxas charger
I agree with you 💯% on all Traxxas garbage especially the charger's!!! I yanked mine out of the wall and stomped it into pieces like a psycho I was so frustrated with it not reading batteries or having to hold them in a perfect position for it to move the tiniest little bit and stop charging! Uugghhhh I'm still 😡 Anyway great video I appreciate any advice that helps me screw Traxxas out of money they would have extorted from me. So thank you!
Excellent! I've been pondering on converting my traxxas batteries(and repairing a couple) but was hesitant because I was unsure how to wire up the balance wires. Many thanks from Knoxville, TN
Hell ya man. I'm in Chattanooga!!!! And yeah I do like the batteries but the connector is a complete waste and honestly it hurts their sales more then helps. No one wants there BS chargers. They 100% would make more money if their batteries had an XT90 and EC5 option to buy.
@@NomisRC Thats whats up! Thats one of my wife's favorite get aways, change of scenery but still "Home". Agreed on the connector situation. My feelings wouldn't be hurt if the XT60/XT90/XT150 became the industry standard, but that'll not ever happen. Even if every other company did choose any connector for a standard, Traxxas being how they are, would never conform. So I cracked open two of my 6700mah ID batteries and they don't have the circuit boards. Is that odd? They are definitely ID batteries. The metal tabs and wire connections are covered by the clear/yellow tape and are obvious so I'm just going to proceed as normal. Shouldn't make any difference unless I'm missing something
