Halong Bay - 2 Nights 3 Days Genesis Regal Cruise

Our first time in Hanoi and experiencing the Halong bay cruise we’ve seen all over the internet. Was such a great experience and definitely recommend Genesis Regal Cruise for sure!

Were all the meals set menu or were there any buffets? Also was the food worth the price?

Thanks! Menu was all buffet. The second lunch was set as there was only 2 groups left. As we stayed on for the full cruise. The food was worth it, they gave us so much food we were shocked. Plus the drinks on the cruise were great!

Is 2 days 1 night curise is ok, or we need to take 3 days 2 night? I am traveling with 5 and 1 year old kid.

It was only us 2 and i think the 1 night is not worth it, 2 nights and 3 days is probably perfect as we were a bit tired after the cruise. So 3 nights may be a bit too much especially with kids as well. But I’m sure the staff are more than happy to help play with the kids while you have some quiet time. Staff were amazing.

Quite disgusting that you'd say the people on the boats selling snacks and drinks were scamming others. Ofc the price is higher- do you think it's easy for them to be out at sea all day in the heat. FYI They are just trying to make a living. They aren't rich or privileged

Not sure why you would comment like that. I’m Vietnamese born in Vietnam, my whole family was born in Vietnam and we all understand that this does happen. Especially in a third world country. That’s just how they survive. I never said it was a bad thing.. none of us complained because we understood that the price they bump it up to is still nothing compared to us exchanging it to our currency hence why i mentioned it was all about the experience.. that’s why people do these cruises.. I’ve seen tourists going to my country and HAGGLE a street vendor in giving discounts… THAT i don’t understand…
