Halong Bay 3 days 2 nights with Orchid Cruise

How long should you stay on the Halong Bay cruise? I would strongly recommend you to get 3 days 2 nights that way you have more time to relax and soak in the nature of Halong Bay. The second day is one of the highlights where we got to cycle in Viet Hai fishing village where you are able to enjoy the countryside in Vietnam and get up close with the paddy field and fishing village.
Food provided in Orchid Cruise is 9/10. The portion is enough and tastes very yummy and well presented on the table.
The cabin is very spacious and it has all the basic facilities that you require.

Halong bay cruising is still in Vietnam so it doesn't need passport to board on the cruise. It did not sail to international sea so visa is not required.

It was somewhere in June 2022...3 days 2 nights. Orchid cruise has less big crowd and is quite exclusive if you are looking for some privacy.

sorry I only try Orchid Classic for Halong bay so I can't compare. But Orchid Cruise cater for small group unlike other boat I saw along Halong Bay are very huge local Vietnamese group. Food is served on table so it is pretty relaxing. Only 14 cabin in the cruise so it is pretty exclusive.

Great video. I noticed when booking a three day/2night cruise that there is daily departures my fear is the cruise leaves the dock, spend the night, then head back to the dock to load new passangers before heading out again and doing the same cruise as the day before again. Do you know if this is the case?

She mentions around 2:05 that the main cruise ship does not return to the dock. Only smaller transit boats move passenger boats between the dock and the main cruise ship.

Don't worry 3d2n guests won't get affected as they are many orchid smaller boats to bring pax going back to harbor. They also have a private restaurant boat that brings us out for activities and have our lunch there. It has clean toilet and showers inside the boat and fully air con
