Wow, this guy is well-spoken and very articulate. All those Salt Strong guys seemed to be salt water fishing sages.
I really appreciate the kind words!! I have to admit, the power of editing does help me out!
Thanks so much, I haven't held a rod in 25 years and my 8yr old has been begging to go fishing. Great video with simple but specific advice. Keeping it simple is always the best way to start, especially with kids.
Glad you liked it! For beginners it’s best to stay very basic
Salt Strong, This is perfect! I subscribed right away!

Just trying to start surf ,beech fishing ,Got to say thank you mate 👍

Thank you so much!!
Art of the split shot 🎣💪✌
Something magical in simplicity!
Perfect video to get you started.
Thank you so much!
Love this channel.😊
Appreciate you!!
Easiest bass lure I tie on for beginners that go with me.. yep simple spinerbait. Works in so many different places.😄👍
So true! Chunk and wind it in
Save yourself some money on bait and go to the supermarket and get a bulk pack of chicken breast. Cut it up small and you got bait for days. Way cheaper and catches almost everything.
Great idea. I’ll have to give that a try.
Chickens don't have breasts. They don't lactate.
I’ll have to try that out. Thanks for the tip!
What’s a good average size hook for regular 12in mangrove snappers? Would a long shank work better than a circle hook?
A 1/0 is good. I’m not a fan of circle hooks if I’m holding the rod in my hands, a j hook is better. But if the rod is in a holder, circle hooks will work
@@shallowwaterguy4755 thanks bro I’m gonna buy 2, 1 and 1/O hooks just in case. I was using circle hooks and setting the hook. No wonder I wasn’t catching anything
Size hook is the best?
#1 or 1/0.
If I’m just getting started trying to catch anything, #1 or 1/0 as others have said
