Man I feel like Joe was one of the fastest guests to "yes and" bits. I weirdly think him and Lisa Gilroy would be hilarious guests together because theyre the same energy with wildly different personalities
i LOVE Lisa gilroy . Ik obviously this would never happen but i NEED a Lisa and Rick have a time thing where they just have a series of podcasts and stuff
Can other casts take notes from Rick and crew. Kudos on every single aspect of production. Well done. Been a bopper from day 1 and I love to see the progression. I can always pull a new ep and be impressed from the jump
@@rickglassmanI can! Of course, rick is hilarious and the main reason anyone is watching the pod, but i gotta give my hats off to the production team (which i’m sure rick is part of as well!) the additions made in post are what really make this pod stand out from others imo, it enhances the bits sooo much and it just shows rick puts more effort into this thing than just recording a conversation. the flashbacks are another example, i always find myself queuing up another episode that i found from a flashback, genius marketing. Hope you know rick, the effort that goes into this pod is very appreciated and does not go unnoticed! im a newer fan, but i’m excited to see where this goes, i have a feeling its boutta blow up. keep grinding broski! i’ll get off my knees now
@@rickglassman video/audio is consistently on point, the riffs are top notch of course and it’s been really cool to watch you gain confidence in your stand up over the years. Keep crushing it Ricky
Love Joe met him when i worked front desk at the Delta where he stayed while he performed at the Frauenthal Theater in Downtown Muskegon MI left us some pastrys after he performed and offered me a hug 😢 such a sweet soul 🤎
I just gotta say I love ya and your pod Rick everytime im going threw something mentally you always seem to be giving advise at the right times. Much appreciation for this
Rick is such a G!! Great pod, but what was even better after the pod I went and watched Joe's special even though Rick said he didn't watch it and quickly realized he in fact did watch it and made four or five secret callbacks from his special in the pod!! Legend
Rick I know you probably won’t see this but this really helped me. I’ve been struggling with putting myself out there because of my fear of what people with think about me, and your perspective of that really opened my eyes. If you do see this obviously I love your show, and thank you
47:55 Don’t worry Rick, at least one person got the Tommy Boy reference. “You could put a 6 pack of bee…sodas in here. Candy bars in the freezer.” His Father - “Anything you wanna keep cool, son.”
YO EVERYBODY! Jo was just on TMZ… He helped an old lady from being harassed by an anti-fur protester guy. Stepped in out of nowhere to help the lady. What I nice dude! ❤
Jus after watching ur better help add, it reminds me so much of me and my family get along, and I'm absolutely enthralled seeing ppl promote positive and just funny, fun relationship with ur parents, tht I feel we don't see enough in the world nowadays, so kudos brudda
Happy to hear that everything worked out with Joe's family. He put them first and won and I am so happy for him. (I was listening to the pod before it got posted on YT) (apple pod comes out earlier)
A couple things: 1. I’m at the movies and hot dogs are prominently displayed on the menu, but I didn’t see anybody order them 2. I just saw a trailer for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” and I couldn’t stop telling people that Pete Holmes is gay now. Thanks Rick
I live in the Caribbean, hot dogs are definitely a staple in movie theaters here since the 90s (maybe before). Great episode, Joe is great, Rick is golden.
I'm so glad they brought up the old school cartoons that played in drive ins and theaters. The hot dog is a classic food item at the movies. The "are you garbage" boys were out of their minds.
I watched Rick's episode of Soul Boom while on LSD and let me tell you, that is probably the best podcast I've ever seen. I've never before seen such allusively subtextual humor so expertly executed, much less whilst being philosophically and morally profound. If you haven't seen it, you're doing yourself a huge disservice. The world would be a better place if everyone saw it.
im in san jose california and my family use to get hot dogs all the time when i was just a kid in the late 90's/early 2000's! back when the nachos were served hot and you could grab an extra cheese. the good old days.
one time I snuck an entire Chinese food dinner into the movie theater. I put little plastic containers in my purse with fried rice, chow fun, orange chicken and egg rolls🤣
I've never seen Impractical Jokers, but I've loved Sal Volcano since I discovered (no Columbus) him on his defunct podcasts and of course on here when Rick and him fell in love. But man, whenever I meet a new Joker, I love them. What a great group of guys! Wonderful ep and a great balance of bits and conversation.
Rick can you get all the jokers cast on and have them do bits. That would be so fun. Love their energy and feel like they would work well with yours. Or maybe do a jokers episode and joe can reunite along with your guest star
I couldn't think of a better unexpected guest for this podcast than Joe Gatto! Sal is also great, honorable mention. I like to imagine Sal introduced Joe and Rick and they all had a silly goose time. 2nd honorable mention: Joe's sweaty upper lip
Please, everyone stay on topic. I’m an ex movie theater manager of seven years at the Enfield Cinemas 12 in Enfield Cinemas, Connecticut and I will clearly tell you that we’ve always had hotdogs on the menu. They didn’t sell well but we had them there if someone wanted a fresh one we would bring it to the seat. Top five job by the way.
I'm 31 and I LOVE HOT DOGS IN A MOVIE THEATER!!! With Mayo n Mustard...Is the best. Not for me anymore, but I used to love it. Is a very tasty meal to eat in the movies. People miss out sometimes. I can't believe this.
Drive-in movie theaters always had hot dog and burger stands in California, but I can't remember an indoor cinema that had anything except candy and popcorn.
Nah Joe is a real one, you never come empty handed if you can. It's that thought that matters, I know of someone brought joe sum Magnolia bakery he'd marry them on tha spot
I worked at AMC in the 90s and we definitely served Hot Dogs! Been bout 30 years
Joe, care to comment?
I def remember a movie theater hot dog as a kid. Always got a hot dog and nachos.
Makes sense cause he was born in the mid-late 90s

“Scoopski Potatoes!”
Love that Joe matches Rick’s usual energy and Rick gets annoyed or overwhelmed just like other guests have in the past.
This deserves a lot more views! Thank you for always blessing us Rick

There is no other podcast that has this level of editing. Love it, great job!!
Can we take the time to appreciate the work Ricky does? This part when he dubs his voice over Joe is impressive. 38:09 - 39:19 👍🏽
The vanilla ice cream bucket sticker was top notch editing 😂😂😂
