I think that the reason that some people prefer the NickelBack's version of this song is because they might of heard it before the original. We tend to prefer the first thing we see, and/or hear.

Thank you for finally posting a good quality audio copy of this. It's been absent from youtube for FAR too long, and too many people were starting to think it was a Nickleback song, which is atrocious.
I only know these guys because of my dad. He finds all these different crazy bands and there all awesome. I really love this song and Billy Talent I don't really listen to them anymore..... But the point is, I love my dad and love the music that he plays. And he listens to this song because of the stuff he's going through and this song explain's all the stuff that's going on between him and his girlfriend. And he tells me to nver put myself through the stuff he's going through and it's not worth it and it's not. I will allway's follow in my dad's footstep's.... Alway's nomatter what it is every tattoo every band name...Everything because I love my dad to death and i would do andthing to make me and happy. But none of us are perfect.... So i'll try my best to make things better... I love you dad and I always will nomatter what. Even if your'e mad at me i'll still always love you. And like i said I will always follow in your footstep's. I will grow up to be like you dad. My dad is funny and awesome and I love him. My dad is nice and everything. I wish i could live with him I wish we could do everything together. But it's not his or my fault. I know he didn't want me to not come see him anymore but it happened. So because of that I only see him on Sunday's and spend time with him and every time I go to his house I forget the time and I just try to have fun. And if I could I would spend way more time with him because I love him. And if anybody talks about my dad I go completely off and start swinging hahahaha. But because I love him to death. No matter if it's my friend or even family, I get mad like that. And i know that he'll do the same for me. Because we love eachother. And my dad has blood pressure problems so if anybody makes him have a stroke, you better get heavy artillery because i'll bust a door down if i have to. Lol but I truly love my dad and he love's me too. And I got his back for any trouble. Dad, I will always love you forever. For eternity.... I love you dad and I know you love me too. I love you dad!!!!!!!!
Avian Keese I hope this finds you feeling better and I hope in 6 years things got better for you and your dad. I’m a single parent father and just know that despite the courts and public opinion that fathers are less than mothers, I would crawl through a mile of shit with my mouth open to see my son smile! Never forget, you’re on your dads mind constantly. Some things we just can’t fight because the struggle would kill us. We just hope things work out and we keep the love we had when you guys were little and the world was perfect. I’m sure your dad would do anything for you. Keep your head up!
