- Resetting the lock button on the Kenmore elite dishwasher model 665. This is what worked for me when I could not find any answers anywhere on the Internet, good luck, God bless.

I watched about a dozen videos, and none of the combinations worked, until this one. The only difference was I only needed to do the sequence 3 times until all the lights came on, I shut the door and the reset cycle began. Thanks!

My dishwasher quit after starting. Tried all sorts of videos, this is the only one closest to mine. I just pressed while door closed, pots & pans, normal wash, water miser, china rinse, quick rinse, and no heat dry. did this 3 times with door closed. then pressed start it worked.
BINGO - Thanks for your posting. I put it in my save folder for future use. After researching and trying about a dozen different sequences in the past 24 hrs, it was successful. Purchased barely five yrs ago, Model 665.12763K312 lit up blue straight across the keypad, went through the reboot cycle and a mini wash. Now it's running a normal wash cycle. I love electronics but damn, when it's so difficult to get the simple "key" to reboot . My advice is to just keep trying different sequences. Perhaps the unique sequence is contingent on the unique (cheapest) control board sourced during manufacturing just like my other electronics.
Thanks for this video!!! I tried many methods to unlock the control panel but your video is the one that did the trick. Our Model 665-1329 has a different button configuration than the model shown above so, I pushed SmartWash, Pots & Pans and Heated Dry 6 times. It's working fine again. Whew!
None of these things are working for my #665
The cancle/drain and Lock lights are blinking.

Me too. I’m trying it but it’s not working. I can get the cancel light to blink as is the lock on light but can’t get lock on light to stop flashing

My model 665.13963k017 had no lights on the control panel except for the red control lock button. Pressing it 3 times didn't do a thing, so I shut off the breaker for 5 minutes and after re-closing everything came back to normal. It's not in the manual....save a service call.

Thank you for the Help!! Bought a brand new Kenmore Elite few months ago. It stopped working after we had are Electric panel upgraded to a 200 amp. Thought it was fried but now I hear it running as I type this. So if you have one of the 2018 models this trick might help you as well.. Thanks!!
Well, I don't have the exact configuration of buttons you have. But, I started hitting a slightly different sequence. I was going to hit them 6 times, but it unlocked after the 3rd time. Maybe, any 3 buttons in a row would work, as it did for me. THANK YOU!
