    Had the same leak and likewise knew it wasn’t the door gasket! Saved me a lot of time! Appreciate it! 😊

    I gotta thank ya. It took me a while to get to it because I couldn't find my torks bits so I was using my Grandparents dishwasher next door and doing them by hand. I changed the door gasket first and it still leaked. I didn't wanna order the part you replaced without opening the door up because that little gasket cost me $90 CAD (delivered) from Amazon. The part was $65 and $25 for delivery. I didn't wanna order the part until I could get into the door to figure out if that was the leak. We have really bad lime scale so as soon as I opened that door and saw all that lime scale INSIDE the door and leaking right from the bottom of that box where the gasket goes. Ordered the part right away. Said it might take up to a couple weeks and only took 3 days.
    I can't thank you enough. Without you I wouldn't have had a chance.
    My Grandfather grew up on a farm until he was in his 20's and went on to the Carpenters Union for 50 years. He died last year so I'm on my own when it comes to home repair. He left me a small fortune in Snap On tools (and other various tools) so I'm doing OK. 👍
    Thanks again and may God bless you and your family as well! 🙏❤️

    wow Kevin, I think this may be our problem. I reached up under the door panel and the sound insulation was wet. I couldn't figure out how that would happen if the door gasket was where it was leaking. Great to have a solution from right here in Virginia!

      Mr. Hensley, Thanks for watching and sharing your comment. I can tell you that since this video, our washer has not leaked. I thought it was the door gasket so I bought one at the same time as the part that fixed it. Of course after repairing the door, I'm not exactly sure of where I put it... but, I have one. This has to be the easiest repair to an appliance I've ever done! I wish all my repairs were this easy! Again, thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! Kevin

    That is exactly what my door leak was doing. Found a bunch of crud and hardness buildup on and around the O-ring seal. Cleaned everything and put it together. Still need to test it.

      I will be curious to learn if this works for you. It makes sense that it would. If were to do it again, I would use this product...through the roof to seal it. amzn.to/4biFWB5 The only reason I would use this is because we keep it on the farm. If I had to buy it, then I would probably opt for a new gasket. Thanks for watching and leaving your comment. This is how we learn together. Kevin

      Try this product out versus regular silicone. I've never seen anything more stick! It's called "Through the Roof". I keep a few tubes in stock at all times. You can apply it wet but in this case, I would dry it off before applying. amzn.to/3MthjaE I would be curious as to how your repair goes. Thanks for watching and leaving your comment. Kevin

    Great video! I have a Maytag that looks exactly like this dishwasher. Mine is leaking on both sides too and its also coming out of the top by the handle. I think it might be the same thing. I think In going to run the washer with the cover off the door to see where it leaking. I already changed the bottom gasket which did absolutely nothing.

      Rivers, thanks for watching our video. I am curious as to what’s happening with you washer. When I performed my test, I had to do it a couple of times in order to get it to leak. I would love to know what your results are. Thanks kevin

      @@MillGapFarms I ran it w the cover off and I could not see where the water was coming from. I think i figured out the problem. The plastic upper part that has the handle and electronics has it has 4 screw risers in the plastic. Two of those had broken off. This was letting the top flex a bit when locking the door. I think it was simply leaking thought the top sides because it wasn't closeting all the way. I had already bough and installed the bottom door seal which did not fix the problem. I decided rather than trial and error with more parts I would just get a new dish washer. The problem was probably that the top piece needed to be replaced.

    I have the same washer. It's leaking from the pump but I can't figure out where. The seals have no moving parts so how could they wear out is my question. There is 2 o'rings each with flat sides. They are mounted in grooves and install in a plastic housing but there is nothing moving to wear out these o'rings. They seem soft and new no flat sides. i cleaned them up and reinstalled them only for it to leak again. The pump can be remove with 2 screws so it's easy to have a look. Thinking maybe there was debris under causing a leak. It's not the pump leaking because there is no liquid any further into the pump. Any ideas?

      Have you taken the front panel and lower panel off to watch a cycle? Do that first. That's how I found my leak. Let me know how it goes. I forgot to share this tidbit. I like to use clean newspaper under what I think is leaking. When a drop of water hits it, you can see it very easily.

    I’m having a leak @ both corners of the door. It will run almost a full cycle and with a few minutes left it begins to leak.

    • @MillGapFarms
      @MillGapFarms  Год назад +1

      Dfdrescue, that's indicative of a door seal. What I would do is pull the front, put news paper down in front of the washer and do a cycle. If you don't see leaks at the vent (which is not a normal leak), then the next option is the seal. I hope this helps. If you want to discuss this further go to our website www.millgapfarms.com and send me an email. After a few days, comments will start piling up and sometimes I miss them if they are old. I'm still trying to figure out how to show new ones but so far no luck with out subscribing to an expensive 3rd party app. Thanks for watching! Kevin

      @@MillGapFarms I put a new door seal in a few days ago. Seemed like the obvious and easy fix. Ran a cycle last night with the door cover off. Only water I noticed was dripping out of the vent @ the bottom. It wasn’t nearly as much as when the door panel is on. There was no water anywhere else. Still troubleshooting.

    • @dfdrescue
      @dfdrescue Год назад

      Apparently on mine the wax motor that opens and closes the vent @ the end of cycle to dry the dishes can fail open and water can make its way into the blower.
