    THANK YOU!! We just had our dishwasher start leaking - it was this exact brand/model and I identified the leak coming through that plunger, and that the nut was probably just loose, but couldn’t work out how to remove the hood / plunger thing to get at it. You said the magic words and it was easy peasy!! Saved me a load of time and money!

    I was about to change the inner door gasket when I decided to look underneath and saw water randomly dripping from the float mechanism. It was easy to access. I got the float area cleaned, gave the nut a 1/8th turn, and after one wash, it was dry. Hopefully, this fixes my issue for good, at least for now. Thanks for posting this. Fixed my exact problem. Thanks. The nut on mine was barely tight also. Cleaned the float, checked the washer, tightened up everything. Mine had been leaking for years. I thought it was an outdoor spigot copper pipe that was leaking. Opened up the wall and saw it wasn't.

    Thank you, tightening the plastic nut on the float valve fixed the leak! Backstory: I was trying to fix why soap dispenses but washer arms don't move or spray as it runs through whatever cycle I chose. I opened the kick plate to get the tech sheet to run control panel diagnostics, and noticed a very slow drip leak. Never noticed any pooling through the years. Running diagnostics made extra-strong vibrations, and I guess caused the nut to loosen beyond the drip to being a bigger leak. I found your video, lifted the float valve as much as I could and was able to see that the plastic nut was indeed loose, so using pliers, I could tighten it without taking it all out. Leak disappeared. Thanks so much!

Now I had this leak that leak sensor detected, and it was a quick fix, thanks to you. Since a power failure during a thunderstorm, the detergent box opens shortly after turning the machine on. Because I am using pouches, which don't need to be in the box, it won't affect the washing quality. Still, it bothers me. I read that one has to open the door and check the electronics and mechanism. Ya well every brand is like this now its the norm. Same with cars. Equipment anything really all made to last MAYBE through the warranty period then go "Poof" Old stuff was the best. People just changed it out because it was old looking

    Alright, just tried cleaning this guy up. Let's see what happens. My washer was not damaged.

    • @GhettoWagon

      Should work as long as its snug. The looseness creates more of an issue then funk on the washer. I just cleaned it up I wanted to inspect it good for cracks, Saw none.

    Just took mine apart. How tight should the o ring be to the housing? Mine is not worn looking but it isn’t tight to the threads.

      couple of turns. I basically wiggled the bottom piece and kept slowly turning the nut until it stopped wiggling then went about a 1/4 turn more

      @@billyu1831 Its a part of the whole pump assembly that you can buy for $180 or more now or discontinued due to the planned supply shortage we all have been having for 2 years now Some just sell the diverter valve seal

      Yes. Just was leaking. This machine broke 3 more times minor stuff I keep fixing it, Rack sliders broke The detergent door was leaking now the top sprayer manifold is cracked in the back, Just ordered one of those

      @@GhettoWagon yikes, good luck. Mine is leaking I *think* from the float switch, but it's also not filling with water (only some, and float switch not stuck down) and isn't washing.

    • @GhettoWagon
      @GhettoWagon  Год назад

      @@Euterpe416 Mine does not clean well when the top sprayer seal on the back is not on the manifold. mine always falls off because the manifold is broken it just causes a huge water leak and nothing sprays Could be that or a pump issue or water supply issue Turn the water supply valve off and on make sure its fully open. Or you can remove the water hose from the unit and make sure the hose is flowing and not clogged.
