Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. - Видеоклипы
I was at this show - 3rd row. Tix were a 14th b-day gift. One of the best nights of my young life.
I was at this show as well…I believe it was February?….every one was anticipating the new album yet to be released….and I’ll never forget when Plant said…here’s something from new record and they broke into Kashmir as they can running out from behind the back line of amps…the lights were brightest at that moment and it was very theatrical,…they were already my favorite band for about 3 years but I knew at that moment they were simply the best rock band in the planet and in history….I had just turned 15 that January….came to every show at the Cap Center they did..3 in 75 and 4 in 77…..so wish I coulda seen em on they’re earlier tours but I was just a tad young….but so glad I can at say I saw em 7 times!….was also a hoot cause my girlfriend Alison a concession stand there …..God what great days and memories this band have me then and continues to till I die…non better than the mighty Zep!
The anticipation of this show was never matched again for me. Saw a lot of concerts in that timeline, but this was a one night show, tickets were impossible to find and the day of was a thrill never matched again.
very cool im 52 and was at that concert i was 15 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so glad i found this film
I was at this concert.
AWESOME!! Very rocking footage!
The bomb
Wow would've never expected them to be in Landover. Things have changed a lot since 1975
They also played 4 sell-out shows there in May, 1977.
@@MJEvermore853 that's dope 🔥
Lol...I was a HS junior. I remember we camped out at Hechts parking lot in Alexandria to get tickets when they went on sale in the morning.
I spent many nights in that same parking lot
They looked good in 1975 didn't They?
For those of you who were at this gig. Do you remember if the tele screen was in use for the show or notice any cameramen/cameras near the stage or anywhere around for that matter. This question tends to get asked about the 1977 shows but not this one :)
From what I remember, it was on. We were in the 3rd row at this show so we didn't look at the screen except during one bathroom break - during Moby Dick
@@XRaySpex000 If so such a big deal. Please recount your memory for sure as Zepplein fans have been deprived of footage from this venue, when potentionaly it could exist. Fair play for attending though :) They played there 5 times but no footage thus far. Other bands on the other hand...
@@TheQuillage I do know a couple of other folks who were there in '75, I'll ask if I can get in touch with them. The weird thing I remember was in 1977, they had the closed circuit tv on in the concourse area where restrooms etc were but I don't remember the big screen inside being turned on.
@@XRaySpex000 That comment was amazing because the debate is pretty much that the screen was not used for any of the 77 shows. That supossedly was at the request of Peter Grant as he’d much rather have the audience focusing on the band than looking at a screen. (That is what I have heard anyway) But people still wonder if in the luxery boxes and concourse stands as you say, wether they were still being broadcast. Honestly though great post, because it’s closer proof that they may have been taped.

Not for Long!!
Getting The Led Out!! x
Hey Renee I was 17 finishing up my senior yr. in H/S and I was at that concert, I'm now 57. Somebody needs to go back to math class
kinda wish the sound quality was better, but I won't complain much about any Zeppelin footage!
75 they were still raw. Of course considering pages finger and plants vocals too LOL. Prob should have been canceled to allow them to heal. Can’t imagine playing with a broken finger and battling the cold and flu. Still tho to get up there and perform has to me appreciated.
anyone who says they remember that night, wasnt even there.
I was there and I'll never forget it.
@@XRaySpex000...he's copying an old quote from Robin Williams talking about the '60's...
"If you remember the 60's, then you were never even there."
First :3
