Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

This was my very first concert. I was just a 13 year old punk ass kid. My Uncle was living with us & was a huge Zeppelin fan. I didn't know anything about them & was totally blown away by the show. They are my favorite band to this day. R.I.P. John Henry Bonham. Thank you for posting this.

Good times. I want the 70's back. What wasn't better in the 70's other than medical science?

I was at this show (1 of 4 nights they played in a row). It was amazing. This film doesn't pick up the crazy laser show they had while Jimmy was doing his bow routine. It was this enormous green pyramid that came down from above and rotated/spun around him in time with the music. They had these ginormous speakers on poles on each side of the stage mounted like a spiral staircase. Extremely loud at times. My life is richer because of these four guys. Their music never gets old.

I was at the MSG shows in June, 1977. It was a special, unique, and surreal time for Zep fans, for all New York, and for the band. There has never been a time like that since.

I was there ALL 4 nights in May of '77 (I had great seats for 2 of the shows and I worked a beer stand for 2 shows) It was the greatest 4 nights of my entire life \m/

I was there and it was so good I will never forget it!!! They had to put bars through the doors because people were trying to knock them down to get in from the parking lot. I don't blame them because it was that good!!!
