      I mean they've done the R&D and are trying to take the guess work out of the equation for potential people interested in building a 606. If you ask me that's an excellent way to run a business and make a name for yourself. The cars that they build always work well so I don't see how your smug ass comment helps anything Rodney.

    I would be curious as to how one of my 9cm chargers would do. I make them for holsets and s300’s. I mainly specialize in 89-07 cummins motors but it could be a fun test. On a 5.9L motor spool up is a hair slower then a k27 and far ahead of the t3 62/68/.70 s300.
    Really enjoying the videos, I used to really be die hard Into the Mercedes diesels, only figured out enough to get myself into trouble with one but never knew enough to really know how to get out of it haha.

    Why not one of those VTG big turbos? For a daily car i think would be more driveable than that one with external wastegate, also it will use a cheaper exhaust mainfold..

    Thast turbo...with exhaust casing modified it s very good and beleive fast spool....also borgworner are more quality than other brands..

    I have patrol y60 with rd28t and also have an om606. The Nissan engine runs sweet and it's under 60k miles. But I need the torque and economy of a bigger engine for touring and light off road. The 4.2 Nissan engines are next to impossible to find in Europe and already having the om606 looks like a good alternative. Now ,the question is: How low in the revs can an om606 can make some usable torque and what turbo setup would achieve such results. I am not chasing land record speeds, just simple laid back cruising and occasional off road escapes. Any insight welcome

    Are these power numbers with the 52mm or the 57mm compressor for the s200? Also how can a .83a/r be to restrictive but a .63a/r not?

      The .83 housing is divided, so when calculating the A/R of the turbine housing, it doesn’t take the material in the divider into account. Most people loosely agree that it ends up being 60%-70% smaller A/R when using a divided housing, but that is speculation. That would put the .83 effectively around an actual .54 housing making it slightly smaller than the .63. Hope this helps!

    Curious on your thoughts on the variable vane turbo options out there and how they compare spoolwise to these smaller BW turbos. A few have gone with the GT2359v due to low fabrication requirements. Myself and at least 2 others have done the GTD2056 or 2060 turbos from the v6 vw engines, might be a cool kit for you guys to offer if you found the performance up to snuff.

      I have HX27w but coming in around 3k rpm.
      I wanted to know if a GTD2263 or similar would make more power and spool faster.

      @@CommerEileen for reference i'm getting 7.5 psi at 1425rpm, and 31psi at 1930rpm on a stock 6mm pump (GTD2060vz)

      Pump elements,turbo and all the other usual stuff,but you can keep the stock ECU and get it tuned to run with the new elements and turbo.

      Never try to make power on the 12v om603 because they are weak in every aspect. you can't expect more than 250-300hp out of those before they explode. On the other hand with some mods you can push the 24v om606 to around 700hp max. The later 24v 3.2L om648 is capable of 800+ hp but they are complicated to mod and require you to have a massive turbo.
