We take the truck on a winter camping adventure and get super stuck! Luckily the @PeckBrothers were also up there and could winch us out and get us to a safer camping spot.
New Peck brothers watcher & found you guys. Great video & recovery but this OM suggests you invest in a winch lol...I learned my lesson back in the 70's. I have several 4x4's & each one has a winch & lockers cause I'm getting too old to hike 18 miles out for help in 3' of snow. Good luck with your channel & I'll share with friends. BTW, NorCal is where I'm at & we have deep snow up in our mountains too!
Thanks for watching man! It’s an absolute blast! Winter camping is totally underrated. With the right gear it’s super fun and not as extreme as people think.
Break out the shovels and start digging... it could snow another foot over night then what?? FYI Don't go offroad in the snow unless you have tire chains for all four tires; winch and shovel. Get yourself a PBL (Personal Locator Beacon) for emergencies only. Also carry a CB or GMRS radio incase you lose phone service. Bring extreme weather clothing... maybe Carhartt's? No you're not dumb just inexperienced.. and that's a learning curve.. You guys learned your first lesson today... Don't underestimate Mother Nature. Nice video I subbed.. I learned the hard way too, everyone does. PS. I'm 75 yo.. still learning too! Prep like you always have walk out to safe ground.
You are right! We did not have a winch or chains. My mistake for not showing in the video but we did have high end backcountry snow shovels that we used a ton! I also have a midland micro mobile GMRS with a ghost antenna and handheld radios. We also had multiple people at home that knew our location and our GMRS channel to reach us. We also carry a Garmin InReach. My wife and I were well prepared with full snow gear with backup layers in case we got wet. I will explain more of that in my future videos. Thanks for subscribing!
Not sure if it’s the camera reversing the image or not but your flag is hung backwards. The blue field is always on the viewer’s left! Thank you for sharing
It’s actually done that way on purpose. It’s been a very trendy in thing for years in the overland/off-road community for those flag decals to be placed like that. Thanks for watching the video!
Les Schwab and other tire stores have them on hand this time of year. They are bad ass I have two pair but usually only use one and I put them on the front. You do want to take them off when you hit pavement

Appreciate you watching the video! Ya it’s about time I find away to make one fit inside my bumper. Would have saved so much time.
Here from the Peck Brothers. Nice video glad I found another new channel to watch.
They are great guys. Thanks so much for watching!
Found you from the peckers !!!!😂
Haha thanks for watching!
Also checking in from @PeckBrothers. Great video and nice rigs. Y’all had crazy amounts of snow up there.
Thanks so much for watching!
Trees were everywhere. Even having one winch would have made short work of that situation. Good try airing down and trying traction boards, though.
Seriously… would have been unstuck in minutes with a winch…
Here is ur loyal sub my friend i was waiting for a vid to pop up on my news feed very interesting vid bro now i want to try snow off-roading

But with that said you are right! I totally underestimated how much snow we would have. Always learning!

You need a kinetic rope. Peck brothers to the rescue
We had one Kinetic rope but mine was a standard tow strap. I need to get one for sure! It’s on my wishlist for sure!
I’m here from the Peck Brothers!
They are awesome! Thanks for checking out my video as well!
Was wondering if you had to do a lift on your truck to run 35’s. I have the same truck and was thinking about going to 35’s.
You need at least a leveling kit to run 35” tires. I have a 3” Rough Country Vertex suspension lift.
Here from the Peck brothers. :)
They are the best! Thanks for watching my video as well!
Tire chains, not cable chains, real chains, if you only have one pair put them on the front. You’ll be amazed 👍
I might need to order some now! I was wishing I had them…

@@vincewetherell8464 sweet! I’ll have to pick some up
I suggest Diamond pattern Studded tire chains..
