I parked my 680 3 months ago. Ive spent 3 months cleaning an detailing it. With trucking the way it is and all the foreigners taking over I decided after 44 years to retire.. I am a retired teamster with 4.1 million accident free miles . Gonna have fifth wheel taken off stretch the frame a little and a box on it. A camper for weather like that. I have a Damon Escaper 42ft tag Motorcoach in the barn that we are going to be traveling in.

Going with you on this trip is fun! Im a 76 yo granny now living in a 314 sq ft Intershelter Dome in my daughter’s back yard in SE Alaska. Been here since 2015. Wanted to get an RV to live in, but health stuff stopped that. So now I follow guys and gals like you on the road. Really fun seeing Fairbanks and North Pole again! My husband and I were up there in 1973 where is mom was living. Then went to Nome & Juneau and back to Seattle home. You are something else, and you’re living life on your terms. But I like you explaining about what you have to be super prepared as much as possible, so I can relax and enjoy the trip. LOL You are so talented and skilled and every thing, from replacing windshield wiper arm (thats so not easy) to operating a camera & drone (?). Love the photos you take. Waiting for your next video, thanks and be safe. 🎉

I think most normal people feel weird filming in public so definitely don’t worry about that! The video you get is incredible, especially the drone shots!

    • @ZvookUK
      @ZvookUK 7 месяцев назад

Yeah, I'd feel very awkward. I suppose the trick is to get their permission first and test the waters a bit. Be as respectful as possible. That is if you're filming someone else, like a meeting or something. Most people would probably be fine with it. There's always going to be an element of staged choreography about it.

@@izadeeg \The Mavic Air drone has a feature called Active track In that feature there are three modes of operation: Trace, where the drone will follow a subject; Profile ,where the drone will follow along side the subject , and Spot Light , where the drone keeps the subject in frame while the drones pilot can fly freely. The pilot launches the drone to a desired height and speed to follow the subject and then initiates the Trace Mode. The Drones camera is focused on the subject. Mavic Mini 3 Pro drone is used in this video.

I've lived all around the world...Central America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East. I've lived in 10 different U.S. states and I travelled and adventured a lot. Then I got trapped by a high-paying job in the most boring place you can imagine...Central Illinois. Nothing but cornfields and soul-crushing flatness and boredom. This is the first time I've seen a video from you and I immediately subscribed. Love your presentation style. This reminded me of when I lived in Colorado and I'd explore the snowy Western slopes of the Rockies, and when I lived in Central Washington State and would explore the Cascades in my '95 Bronco. The lesson I've learned the hard way is, money does not necessarily equal living...you, my friend, are living. Keep it up!

You’re helping reignite my love for the winter season. The last few years Ive struggled really enjoying it, but i think mostly just due to lack of free time. I’ve always enjoyed winter adventures going ice fishing or hunting. Having all the correct gear, tools and machinery to get you there, plus being comfy and warm inside while the weather gives hell feels so nice. It all gives you a sense of freedom and independence. I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. We are very fortunate here to have the best of every season.

One of the first vehicles I learned to drive was a 1970's (I think!) Silver F250 with dual gas tanks. We used to get it in trouble for not putting gas in, because we just switched tanks when one ran empty! I have always wanted to visit Alaska, and after watching this gorgeous video, I will!! Thank you also for showing all your precautionary equipment and clearly outlining what it takes to be out and about in that kind of environment! Post Covid, so many more people are venturing outdoors and sadly, some of them just aren't prepared for what can happen to you out there. Happy and safe trails to you!❄️🌨️🏔️🎿🛻

What a drive! Thanks for taking me somewhere I would never go on my own! 😊
Favorite road snack is Cracker Barrel's Coca-Cola Cake. 😆
Ahhhh! Sesame Chicken is my favorite Chinese! 😋

Crazy driving into a storm. I've driven in some major storms down in the lower 48 but never planned. Hope you have nothing but good luck. Film whatever and however you like, never seen any bad footage from you Tim. Thanks for sharing.

That build with the trailer is so badass. I've watched since you built it. But I can say that I think you have one of the coolest truck-camper-overlander set up of anyone. The wood-burning stove is the best touch on the camper IMO. Enjoyed the video and happy new year duder.

18:35 Mine are salami sticks, paprika crackers, cherry tomatoes and apples.
Apples seem to be quite an underrated road snack IMO. They're easy to eat as is, they preserve damn well in most conditions, they're delicious, nutritious and you can dump what remains of them in nature in good consciense.

Your drive is taking me back to my years in Michigan’s eastern upper peninsula. The roads look familiar. I don’t miss it! I also miss the smell of pine trees and lumber plants.

My Dads 3 cousins, from Kansas, homesteaded in Alaska after WWII. In the 60s, 2 came back to Kansas, 1 stayed. 2 were north of Anchorage, 1 about 75 miles from Fairbanks. In 2021 we took a trip to Alaska. We should have done it 20 years ago. I loved the story's those men, their wives, and kids told. Adventure runs in the family. Thank God for DNA. 😉

I never throw this term around, but you sir, are a badass! Also I totally understand the disingenuous performance feeling that would come with filming yourself in front of others. I wouldn't be able to do it. Takes a certain kind of person to be able to do it authentically.

The best times in my Motorhome were in the snow, there is nothing better than being self reliant in the middle of nowhere, heater on , hot food and glass of wine listening to the wind and snow hitting the van , bliss , living the dream Tim 👍

Man, it's so awesome to see the way you capture the driving and talk through the trip. Whats super crazy is seeing the Richardson exit I take to get on home every day in a YT video lol! Took the fam up to Fairbanks & back right before Christmas- I need to get a 350 like yours to eat up those roads for next time!

You can swap wiper arms. There is a small tab on the base. Lift arm up pull tab away from base set arm back down and it will hover over the glass. Give it a wiggle and it pops off
