My advice always, in any game is..
Play what u enjoy most! That will last u longer then chasing numbers, simply becuz meta's are forever changing and they never take long 😂
so just play whatever u like most..
I still have my C6 pine comet.. and won't change it any time soon.. Can do all content in the game:)

I'm curious to see what would be the better trait for tanks with the coming EVA collab. Looks like Asuka trait will grant more survivability than Saki's trait. I could be wrong tho.
Based on the leaks Asuka's Forti trait sounds better so it might be time to put Saki's trait to rest :

Thanks for this. I'm a returning player and I need some help choosing a 3rd weapon along with nemesis & mimi. Can you suggest one? Or should I just wait for nanyin rerun or a new weapon besides rei?

Great video! I'd mostly point out that Yulan will still be meta for frost next to Yanuo unless they buff her (information gathered from CBT without saying too much about it)
And even when they buff Yanuo, you can use triple frost which also deals very very high damage.
I'd say that Yulan is still worth pulling for those who want to main mono frost.
Nan Yin pullers that don't have Yulan however: Feel free to skip her.
Yes! I'm actually testing Yanuo on the test servers and her full kit is locked behind her A3 which makes (New meta) Yanuo, Nan Yin, Ling Han comp weaker than (Old Meta) Nan Yin, Yu Lan, Ling Han comp 'strictly' on lower advancements.
@@TouchMeNot22So does that mean if you can’t get A3 she’s not worth pulling?
@@tt4379 After further tests I've gathered that A3 doesn't improve low investment frost at all because the damage from the extra skills comes at A5 so getting A3 for f2ps or low spender will just brick your account xd
It's just Tower of Frost all over again :)
But Later Dual element is more convenient for f2p and low spenders IMO.

i am new and have no idea what all events dungeons daily stuff is there. kinda want shirli and a big weapon?
So as a new person who wants to play very casually and doesnt plan on investing very much what sort of team comp will be the least annoying for the veterans I end up playing with when I do the harder team content?
In that case Fiona would be a safe choice since you can use her as support/healer and also pair her with pretty much any DPS weapons.

who should I pull next for a3 and full matrix (I have plenty dc, red nuc and voucher)?
yulan, yanuo, or collab volt/frost?
With that set, your best bet is to grab A1 Yanuo with her 4pc matrices. You might have seen leaks of her gameplay already but her full skill kit only gets unlocked at A3 BUT as I've tested on the test server multiple times it's actually pretty useless without the A5 advancement which makes the skill stronger. A1 Yu Lan, Nan Yin and Ling Han is surprisingly on par with A1 Yanuo, Nan Yin, Ling Han but if we're talking about matrices then Yanuo A1 4pc is generally better. Collab on the other hand is Volt-Frost so expect Rei to be a better unit for Volt than Frost. Hope this helps!
Im a returnee i dont have lin im building frost currently have saki frig meryl and tsubasa for frost, am i cooked for not having lin? Am i cooked?

I might pull for a single copy of Asuka since I already have physical team. I'll A6 4pc Rei though, hopefully she'll save volt from hold attack gaming

With nice build and 3rd weapons like Nan Yin / Zekek / Miao / anything XD

Hi, returnee here. Have been playing occasionaly here and there, returned in 3.7 to get Plotti. Since you say that tanks are not needed rrally in this game, I have a dilemma who to play as: tank (lan c3+mimi c0+plotti c0) or dps (lan c3+plotti c0+ nan yin c0)? What would you recommend?
Hi and welcome back! You're on the right track there, those line-ups look good with DPS team having Lan, Plotti and Nan Yin. Good news if you don't have Lan's matrices yet is they're actually giving them out as rewards for doing the 4.0 event so don't miss out! As for your Tank team, having both Lan and Mimi would be good for taunt and shield breaking then you can use Plotti's skill to fly while keeping aggro~ You can just switch teams depending on what content you're going for so yeah, you're pretty much good to go!
I need Nan Yin leveled up. I use Mimi.& Brevey has a heal dps.

So i have A6 saki and A3 alyss, quit before any gen 3 came out. Who should I pull for to complete my frost comp? I would pull nan yin but for the moment who can replace my A6 frigg?
I would say Yanuo since she's the latest frost character but with 4.0 just around the corner, you can wait a bit and run Saki, Frigg, Nan Yin Main dps for the mean time.
So question about the meta volt team comp and brevey as a main dps😭im confused,cuz aint she a benediction? Also to function as said dps does she need specific matrices/certain level of stars? Or can you just A0 it? Cuz i have nan yin and mimi so im curious how brevey works as a main dps maybe i missed something in the video,but I didn’t catch anything specifically that explains why she fits in volts main dps meta slot,also to add on here is there an alt(cuz i prolly will lose 50/50 i been getting a lil to lucky lately the game gon stop eventually) like for example can nan yin be used as main dps mimi as sub and another sub? Ik i asked a lotta little questions within a bigger one but id appreciate an explanation cuz i kinda wanted to try mono volt anyway,because azure dragons like one the most fun weapons to use for me even if it is just hold down charged attack button,so i am curious as to how brevey is a main dps and how that works
1. Yes she is indeead a benediction character but in order to cater to the DPS players she was also designed to work as main DPS although she's relatively weaker than the latest DPS of other elements.
2. There are some cases where 4pc matrices unlocks a particular kit for the respective character. In Brevey's case: you can let go of the mouse after using her hold attack and it will be on auto mode (Hold attack is the strongest damage dealing action among her other moves). Also, some kits are locked behind advancements. In general you would want to get at least A1 because this is where most core kits are. Same goes for "Brevey DPS" because her A1 grants her lifesteal so it would be great for sustain. "Brevey Benediction" heals even at A0 though.
3. Yes, Nan Yin is versatile and can be used as main DPS and while it's frequently used by the other elements, It isn't being practiced by Meta Volt comps because it already have 2 main dps characters namely: Mimi and Brevey. It's a different topic though if you don't have those two.

I'm returning to the game after only playing during the first weeks of launch . I have King, Meryl, Samir and Tsubasa. Do you think I should start a new account, or just keep going with my current account.
If you played for a week then you must have gotten the game launch perks back then like the free 10 red nucleus and the cube mount. Those aren't here for newer players so I'd say just continue with your old account.
Im a returning player and my team is just lin, A1 saki, and frigg... I heard thay physical is the most f2p element but since I already sorta have frost built should i continue maining frost?
I also wanna be a healer main but idk everyone is powercrept 😭
@@Mostknownoldgen With it's current state Physical is indeed f2p friendly but so is Frost and Flame. Only bricked element as of now is Volt because you need high advancements to deal decent damage. Lyra and Nemesis are already on the standard pool so if you also want to build a healer team then those two will greatly help!

Hi, I am an returner and I get overwhelmed and through that also pretty discouraged to continue the game :/
When I last played that was during Vera release and I managed to get Frigg with 2 stars back then. Now it seems Frigg isn't considered good anymore and I also feel that I struggle against normal enemies...My current team is Frigg a2, Saki a2, Lin a0
I also got Asuka lately and some other standard characters, I got lately from exploration: ruby, fenrir and some As for older characters.
I would like to use a team with Asuka, but with my limited roster I feel like that might prove to be a hard endeavor ...
I guess I would need a road-map as to what I should do first, what to focus on. I am currently trying to push through the Vera story line and I get beaten up by the bigger monsters in that Confounding Abyss.
Hi! Are we talking about normal mobs here or the elite ones? Because if you're having trouble dealing with the normal enemies then perhaps you upgraded your Dimension level to 100. and if you did then that was a grave mistake. The overworld enemies' difficulty scales with your current world level. There's the option of making it lower again but that costs dark crystals...
As for team comps, a good option would be to get Fenrir to A1 and pair her with your Saki and Asuka. There won't be much of a synergy with this team but they're the best of what you have. Use Fenrir's trait since it's technically a rainbow comp (3 different elements)

Also no, I kept the Dimension level at 80, while I am 94 and I have difficulty probably with elite enemies, but normal one I think I fight them way to long (I might be wrong tho)
I will first now aim at that a1 Fenrir, but what would be after that the best approach - goal? If I would want to base a team around Asuka ( I saved what you wrote in another vid about her Matrices and will try to get those).
@@AuronOne Yeah, unfortunately investing on Frigg and Lin won't be worth at this point. Getting Fenrir to A1 will unlock her full skill set so yes, that's a priority for now.
Hmmm, Dimension lvl 80 is still pretty high with all things considered but no worries, after a few weeks of grinding for gears you'll be able to deal with the normal mobs. Try to keep it at lvl 80 until you feel like they're no longer posing a challenge.
As for building a team comp with Asuka, the best team composition for physical right now is Asuka, Yan Miao and Nan Yin so you might want to consider pulling for Yan Miao and use Claudia as an alternative for the 3rd slot (since Nan Yin is not on the current banner's free pick pool)

Asuka got lucky with 2 matrixes :)

Huang, Nan Yin, Fiona works but if you're after higher damage output then replacing Fiona with Brevey would be optimal. There's also the latest collab volt character: Rei!

No, accounts will not reset. If you're referring to the classic version (or Reboot as some people are calling it) then you're misunderstanding something. ToF Classic is basically just a whole new server made for New Players or those who want to come back but don't like the powercreep in the current servers. It's not released on Global yet and this video is for the new players beginners/returnees on the current servers.

Depends on what you really wanna go for. Tanks aren't that much in demand and healers are very useful in select contents. Having atleast one DPS team would greatly help you on the overworld like hunting mini-bosses and stuff. Just make sure not to raise your dimension level for now.

If there’s enough stuff that interests you about the game, then I don’t see why not give it a start. It helps if you join an active crew so you can get help as you play!
i agree with joining an acyive crew, it helps with the mmo aspect of the game
It's free to download so I'd say give it a try if you'd like. The learning curve for beginners is so squiggly so you might find my Beginner series guide useful!

Yes that team works and considering that they're all in the standard pool now, it's easier to get copies for them. Although it would be in your best interest to grab at least one 3.0 Frost character because that would really up your general dmg

In frost line up (Nan Yin, Ling Han & Yu Lan) what is the best alternative if I don't have Yu Lan?
Yanuo is coming on the 20th of February and I bet Nan Yin, Ling Han, Yanuo will be the top meta frost. In the meantime Frigg would be good substitute.

Almost considered picking this game back up, but all my characters are garbage now. Great. Way to ruin a game with power creep. I understand the need to sell new characters, but this is stupid how garbage older ones are. You can argue that they are still viable all you want, they don't compare.

I'm watching this video as a returning player and realize this game isn't worth coming back to especially if pre 3.0 characters fell out of meta. Maybe for classic server but with no transfer for f2p to genuinely compete, little reason to invest time into this game.
I hear you... newer characters are always around 5-10% stronger than the previous ones which makes older characters seem weaker. Contents are plenty clearable even with 2.3 characters though, just slower because damage...
its sad because this game is super powercrept... wish it was like genshin how older characters are still vailable even in newer content.

Not recommend this video to Beginners/Returnees. If you see healer with Nemesis and Fiona in same comp - it's a noob who don't know how to heal.
wdym? nemesis is good for wide range healing and good support for volt dps, try reading descriptions
@@schizoprenic1301 Fiona want to do same onfield actions(shift healing) but way usefull than onfield nemesis. There is no reason to have second onfield weapon(Nem) it's just waste of slot. Lyra is so op as buffer, Coco also crazy buffer, Zero provide immune to all. Nemesis died as healing weapon since Fiona release.
I get where you're coming from but nowhere in the video was it stated that running Fiona with Nemesis is good. He specifically said that it's better to use Zero or Lyra for 3rd slot instead of Nemesis or Coco.
