Yes you do get points for defending

lower rank means easier fights, so easier gems.

High rank is also easy, many have just one 4* in defense, myself included

Winning a defense might give you points, but since players are allowed to choose, if you have beefed up defense, players would just avoid invading you altogether, so you'll get no points either way. It's a very wonky system and it's better if we just use dummy doll for defense. Unless if you care about "defense victories" stat.

Just place any character in front. It will get some damage, but more benefits that boss wont get his buffs.

immediatly accusing people of being tryhards instead of acknowledging the game doesn't make it obvious you should just throw your defense you must be a blast at parties it's the game's fault for not making it crystal clear you lose nothing if your defense loses, I'm only finding out because of this video

@@もり見積 it quite literally says in the tutorial that when the attacking team wins, they gain points and the defender doesn't lose anything, their points remain the same. Unfortunately when it comes down to NA players, youtubers, especially streamers or just people like you, they either don't comprehend what they read or just don't even read it at all and just click the X button. And OP's statement still stands, majority of NA players will tryhard their defense team even though they'll gain nothing from it (yes you can earn points by having successfully defending, but most will not want to attack stacked defensive teams and ignore them, meaning the player with that defense team will be losing out on points), all they'll end up doing is making it harder for other players to earn what basically would be easy free rewards.

Thanks! I only found out that you should be doing weekly bosses on the last day. I wasn't expecting to clear Tier-1 on my first attempt and with no healer as well xdd

You're watching too much gateoo stream. It's good to be aware, but gateoo chat is pretty much a meme fest. Don't take it too seriously. It's either be f2p if you're afraid, or quit now, or spend responsibly to support the game. And never see gacha game as an investment. If you enjoy the game and wanna spend, then spend, don't worry about the future, you get cool stuff and you support the game. If its eos, it's eos, nothing has lost (because it's not an investment) you enjoyed your time. No need to cower in fear, it sucks the enjoyment of the game. And it harms both yourself and the game. Nothing good come out if it. Lastly, ToF is running fine. The *recorded* revenue may not be much, but tof itself don't do marketing nor ads, which mean they have low cost to run the game. It balances it out. Don't be afraid. Be f2p or spend support the game, and contribute. That's the only way to make yourself useful and keep the game alive or even thrive.
