- For once work seemed to pass by without too many crises appearing suddenly out of nowhere this week, meaning that I should be able to deliver you three longer stories!
Here's a meaty one for you all to get your teeth into... I love unexplained mysteries and this offers quite an original take on the idea.

Even after two years this is perhaps one of my favorite short stories.
It's creepy, but the realism is so well done. First time I listened to this story I thought it was a real mystery, you can really appreciate how inspired this story is from real life ambigious mysteries. The event itself is strange and inititally ambigious, but even as it narrows down to it's theories the way it reads out like a documentary really sells the authentication of it. It's so chilling in that subtle way.

This was so beautifully narrated. Great Work. Coming from a small town myself I find the idea of whole towns disappearing without a trace to be absolutely terrifying.

Dr. Creepen i found that the town exists but no mass disappearances of my knowledge have taken place.
Technically it does not exists, there is a county called Edmoson, and a town called Edmonton, but not a town called Edmonson.

i really like the angle the author used, writing the story more like a paper or a study rather than a straightforward narrative. the amount of mystery is really good too. glad i was introduced to this!

Kentucky native here! I've been through guided and not-so-guided treks through Mammoth cave and can confirm that it can be pretty intimidating the deeper you get, not to mention that if you don't like bats, stay the hell away. I just hope my husband N E V E R hears this story. He likes to go urb-exing ( and I get to be the lookout buddy) and even though this is fiction, I wouldn't put it past him to go exploring anyway... Great story Doc, lovin your stuff thus far!

Excellent narration. Story is kind of like Blast from the past meets H.P. Lovecrafts The Lurking Fear.
It had a Lovecraftian feel to it, didn't it?
Your voice is silky smooth. I love it.
And the story was pretty cool. I especially liked the reporter style kind of format. It's not something I see often with creepypastas. Not to mention the fact that it covers a long timeline, which is something I really like.

Awesome! I listen before sleep comes and when Im cleaning the house. I am a fulltime stay at home mom and part time employee. Thankfully my son comes with me to my work. He is 1 and has been listening to you for the last 8 months. He gets very quiet and still when he hears your voice come through the speakers. Even my son is soothed by your voice! haha
I really enjoy this type of story. Details weren't being spoonfed to you the whole time. When you have to imagine things for yourself its much more creepy.

I Found him by accident after he posted one of his first videos (I was looking for a specific creepypasta and he was the first to read it on youtube) and I have to say he's as good as Mr.Creepypasta and CreepsMcPasta. He's got a unique voice, an unusual accent, and he's got talent. I actually hear more mistakes in Mr.Creepypasta's videos than in Dr. Creepen's

This is one of my favorite creepypasta, I'm glad I found it again.
this reminds me of a subterranean version of the "missing 411" national park disappearances popularized by David Paulides. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the "clusters" of missing people is located near this area.

This was probably addressed in the past, but the LOST COLONY OF ROANOKE WAS NOT LOCATED IN NEW ENGLAND. It is, (was), located on an island off the outer banks of North Carolina.
So yesterday I wasn't able to get home on time... We had this nasty blizzard hit us! We're stuck in traffic for 2 hours after being stranded in the snow for 3...
A good samaritan appeared with a Jeep and yanked our car off of a hill... Got home, relaxed for a bit, Then went to bed.
And this morning, I'm sitting at my computer with a nice hot cup of coffee listening to another one of your fantastic narrations! As if last night never happened! :)
Glad to hear it all worked out well in the end.
It goes to show there are people out there who still do nice things for people. For every creep there are thousands who would stand up for you. Bless the person who helped you. I try to pay it forward every chance I get.

congratulations on one year. Nice story. The video is great I've seen scenes like that while working Security jobs in Kentucky. In the mountains, you can set on a mountain top and realize there is no one around for miles.
There's a reason people who live in the remote areas are jumpy. It can be a little unsettling to realize the nearest town is only twenty or thirty minutes away but you are so completely isolated. At night when the mist and the rain moves in rolling from one ridge down into the "holler"(hollow ) then rolls up te slope toward you, you feel like you are on the far side of the moon.
I worked as an armed guard on a lot of remote sites in Kentucky. More than once where I ( all six feet tall 220 pounds and armed with a pistol) have set on a job site that had no lights but my flashlight wishing for sunrise to come a wee bit early.
And that was before a guard vanished off of one site I was assigned ....

Wow, did they ever find out what happened to the guard?? Did you know about the disappearance b4 you took the job?? That's some spooky sh*t there sir... Carry 2 pistols and a shot gun!! Also, some bear mace and a hunting knife couldn't hurt!! Be safe out there!!
@@LTJC70 no, he never turned up, alive or dead...pooooff gone...no I took the jo roughtly the same time he did....he was working at the same site, and was one of my relief officers...and yes, yes I did carry a pistol, and a shotgun was in the car seat next to me. then again he carried a pistol too, and it didn't do him a lot of good.
the pepper spray was on my belt, and I never go anywhere without a decent knife. I ain't paranoid, I am just used to working where the cops were thirty minutes to an hour away on a good night.

Hey pal! Great story. We love listening to you, my wife and I. We listen each night before crashing, and I listen in the car on the way to and from work. One note: Roanoke was located on a barrier island of North Carolina, not New England. I have studied that disappearance extensively. Please, keep up the good work! You have serious fans in the Appalachian Mountains.
