if you ever feel like you're too insecure, remember that at least you're not insecure enough to destroy a black box when you and your classmates are stranded in the wilderness.
I think that song is Mother Mother by Sarah Bonaham but I could be wrong. I really love your take on this show. Misty is a Sociopath. I gathered this when she was watching the rat drowned. That comes directly from a book written by a sociopath. After watching this episode I think I’m right. Also this plane crash scene has got to be the most realistic scene I’ve seen about plane crashes.
Lets look at from Misty's viewpoint she was getting praised by people finally for the first time in life it seemed. Why would she wanna go back to a world that ignores her. She felt needed here it gave her a purpose how ever twisted it seemed.
3?! The scene where they're performing that cannibal feast there looks to be 6-7 of them. That means half of the survivors of the crash are going to die still. We know Misty, Natalie, Travis, and Shauna make it. That leaves 2-3 more. I feel like Van made it too
Present day Shauna is being hoodwinked, at first I thought he's the real reporter trying to get the real story, but maybe he's a relative of someone in the plane crash that wants revenge
Same. But I don't think he's the ringleader. Either Jessica or Adam are a younger sibling of someone. And I think there's a group of people planning revenge not just one person
I noticed that there is 3 extra girls on episode 1 and 2 that totally disappeared in the following episodes. You can see them when the group is doing the burial and standing in circle and on that episode where they set up the fire and they are in the background the 3 of them away from the rest. Weird
i think there's something there with lottie's dad being the type to throw money at problems but not pay much attention otherwise. the plane is a rental, but with the supernatural themes starting to circulate, i could see it going the other way, too.
Mix Alive, Lost, Lord of the Flies, and the Donner Party & what do you get? Yellowjackets! Then they added the woo-woo stuff like the latest Shakleton film did -- I hate it when that happens.
Thank you! I did correct myself in another comment around here. The Veronicas did a pretty well-known cover of Mother Mother and initially I thought they used that version in the episode. I wish I could go back and edit that part out of the video! Haha. Thanks for watching 🙏
😐😐😐I was always comforted reading Lord of the Flies saying to myself "there's no way girls would EVER do this" 🙄🙄🙄 then there was Misty
Finally a really good review and breakdown of this show! I subscribed and I’m looking forward to your takes! :)
Check out the recaps

Your Yellowjackets recaps are the best on YT.

This is correct. On my first listen, I thought it was a cover of the song by The Veronicas, but it’s the original version in the show.
“Mother Mother” by Tracy Bonham.
Your format and reviews are really good. Hope you do more for the other episodes!
working on it! tomorrow i'll drop my review for episode 3!
Misty destroying the Black Box had me fuming.
Lets look at from Misty's viewpoint she was getting praised by people finally for the first time in life it seemed. Why would she wanna go back to a world that ignores her. She felt needed here it gave her a purpose how ever twisted it seemed.
@@ihateflatbunz but to decide that after 1 night and a half is crazy .. but Misty is crazy so it makes sense lol
She is giving anti-social vibes. I’m not surprised
Yeah the leg stretch and the guy in the tree, that’s been stuck in my head since. This show is so good!!!!
Not to mention dude's head next to Natalie
I've been looking for a good review/breakdown of this show. You're doing great, please make videos for the rest of the season!
Everyone loves Misty and Natalie together lol
Loving your recaps! Well done!
You do a great job at this..I think Taissa is the one to watch. She has a bigger part in everything.
thank you and i agree! she's definitely the alpha!
Taissa got mad skeletons in the closet yo
Obviously I'm a little late to these reviews but I just finished the show. Great breakdowns. Liked and subbed.
These are great Lucas! Will you do videos for the rest of the episodes? Much appreciated!
You should do a video on who you think the other 3 survivors are
thank you! i'll have this video out in a few days--check back!
3?! The scene where they're performing that cannibal feast there looks to be 6-7 of them. That means half of the survivors of the crash are going to die still. We know Misty, Natalie, Travis, and Shauna make it. That leaves 2-3 more. I feel like Van made it too
Looking forward to the rest episodes.
keep up the good work!
I don't think any of the survivors know Misty destroyed the black box
I hope that comes out in a future season.I get why misty did it she was an outcast back home and shes finally being needed or felt needed here.
I was so hyped when I heard mother mother!
Present day Shauna is being hoodwinked, at first I thought he's the real reporter trying to get the real story, but maybe he's a relative of someone in the plane crash that wants revenge

Great breakdown - looking forward to the next. This episode was my favorite, so far. Any theories, behind what caused the plane to go down?
i think there's something there with lottie's dad being the type to throw money at problems but not pay much attention otherwise. the plane is a rental, but with the supernatural themes starting to circulate, i could see it going the other way, too.
I was thinking Misty, is she that crazy?
Mix Alive, Lost, Lord of the Flies, and the Donner Party & what do you get? Yellowjackets! Then they added the woo-woo stuff like the latest Shakleton film did -- I hate it when that happens.
Liked and subscribed.👍
That song is actually by Tracy Bonham and not The Veronicas. It’s called Mother Mother!
Thank you! I did correct myself in another comment around here. The Veronicas did a pretty well-known cover of Mother Mother and initially I thought they used that version in the episode. I wish I could go back and edit that part out of the video! Haha. Thanks for watching 🙏

4:08 I don't think any planes flying overhead are going to see those words. Spelling out SOS with flaming logs might work.
Who are the group of girls sitting back behind the main yellowjackets, in the picture where they're sitting around the fire? 14:09
you cant leave out shauna's aggressiveness towards jeff when they are doing there thing. In this episode we see Shauna is also a butcher of a sort.
She made up for it when she saved Van from the plane! Van needs to get over it!
Please break down more episodes!
okay okay! i'm working on the next video as we speak and episode 3 after!
@@lucas-xu3wu great!
This didn't bother me but how the hell did the coach end up with his leg under the wing
Haha good point
@@lucas-xu3wu he had to somehow fall out of the plane then the plane wing fell on him hahaha
@@lucas-xu3wu also plane wings aren't heavy especially smaller planes - sorry I'm over analyzing this haha
7:41 The "business card" lists Jessica's job title as "journalist." How fake can you get? I'm surprised it didn't say "writey-type person."
At the end of the episode did you still feel misty was the MVP?
Shawna is a beautiful name but not my favorite character since a teenager she kind of seems very lost
Who is Van?
Vanessa “Van” is the redhead, Taissa’s love interest.
lewkiz oh wow thanks
