I used to work in a bakery. If you are in a pinch and dont have chocolate melts, you can use regular chocolate chips... but add a lil bit of oil to make it smoother and it works just as good
These look awesome!! Sometimes the colored candy melts I find too thick, did you thin them with oil or something? They look super... love the cauldron.
When I was making these I was wondering whether or not they would taste as good as they look, and they absolutely do! Everyone loved them, and are asking for them for the years to come. For the chocolate I followed it to a T, the white cake I used vanilla frosting
Just a tip, often times the white candy melts can be hard to work with especially if you are microwaving it. Instead try white almond bark and it works just as good and tastes the same!
Pretty ironic RUclips is recommending me this in October, I’m thankful. I’m actually thinking of making these for an upcoming Halloween party my family is hosting!!
These are SOO WONDERFUL!!! The Pumpkins and Cauldrons are ADORABLE!!! I am happy that there is a part 2 and am going to watch it immediately. Thank You for sharing these with Us. God Bless. 😊👍🏼
You are AMAZING! You give detailed, easy-breezy instructions. I'm 70 & I've been baking since 8. Cake Pops are pretty new. I've never done them. Not trying to shame you but "Duncan Hines" was a man & FYI, the only cake mix I'll ever use. Going to Christmas Gathering with kids. Please post Christmas Pops. Thank you SO much! 🥰👍
I love this! Straight to the point and easy to follow. I have been completely obsessed with cake pops this month idk why, but I like to try making diy stuff on Halloween and Christmas so this year I think I'm going to try your cake pops for Halloween. 🧡👻 🎃
Holy crap! You bake too?!?! 🤣 I had no idea this was you until I heard the voice, the way you talk and had to stop and see who sounded just like YOU. You just made my day. Rock on with your bad ass self. ❤️🙌🏼🌈
I make cake pops every Halloween and Christmas for a little girls hockey team that I coach. They always love them. I am definitely trying these ones this year. They look amazing and I think they will go crazy over them! Thank you for this video (And part 2) :)
My 9yr old daughter and I love to watch your video we first seen your video was the Easter eggs wreath on home talk and we’ve been hooked ever since you are amazing and inspirational to watch and make thing look so easy to make
This looks great! Thank you for this! 🎃🤖💀💙 but I have a question being it will be my first time attempting. I hear many complaints about candy melts hardening. While looking through comments you mention veggie oil or the flakes to thin out. Do you add this after placing a couple of times in microwave doing 30 second intervals or before even doing anything? Hope my question makes sense! Thank you!!! Also, how long do you keep in refrigerator after making them balls? 😊
I have watched K Pop videos before, but this is my first Cake Pop video; I thought they were baked in little round two-part pans - I had no idea! Yours look great and I love they way the cauldrons are displayed with feathers. TFS
Do you add a thinner to the candy melts to get that consistency?? I’ve tried both microwave and stove top at different settings and times.. and it’s still not that smooth? :/
Exactly what Urban Pineapple said! If you are finding it is still lumpy - add a little veggie oil or shortening to thin it out. You want to start with a very small amount because if you add to much it stays tacky.
Read up on tempering chocolate, your chocolate is probably seizing. It’s also important there’s no water in the bowl or on the spoon as well. Water is the death to chocolate.
Also, I've found that paramount crystals help thin out candy melts. CK Products Paramount Crystal, 4 oz, White www.amazon.com/dp/B0001JXDXG/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_Dm7YBb4RM1ZH3
Omgoddd! I love this. I was thinking of letting my soon to be three years old to help me, but lol, I guess I'll let her help me make just two of the very last batch. 👻
I LOVE THAT YOURE SO STRAIGHT TO THE POINT- not a bunch of filler . So appreciate it 🤗
Then fast forward to your bathroom video comment haha thank you! This was one to the point - try to make them all like that xx.
Same here! Loved it! New subscriber here! 😁
Yup!! It helps make for shorter and, in my opinion, a more enjoyable video to watch. And easier to follow! Also new subscriber. 🤗
That is true

Thank you so much for that tip!
@@LivingtoDIYwithRachelMetz are these hard to make?

I like to use ganache frosting. It takes your cake pops to the next level.
Love that idea.
If you put extra black chocolate on the cauldrons and let it cool stick side up, it will make a rim for the cauldron.
I love that!
This is a 'why didn't I think of that'?
I’m going to make these for my party!!!
Yay!
This comment is really hitting the sad feels on 2020

Crisco works too!

If we're making these at night and serving the next day, can we leave them out or should we store them in the fridge?
Fridge up until about an hour of serving! I love them a bit cold.
@@LivingtoDIYwithRachelMetz Thank you! Is there a certain way you store them in there? Any condensation problems with the candy melts?

Love love your videos!! Straight & to the point, & you made it all about the cake pops & not about you!! Great video!
Thank you very much!
How can you make the candy melt into a liquid texture I always struggle as it dries up quick :(
Add some coconut oil
Or like a small dash of crisco.
Great ideas and excellent directions!💚💜🧡
Thank you Nancy!

Do you add a thinner to the candy melts to get that consistency?? I’ve tried both microwave and stove top at different settings and times.. and it’s still not that smooth? :/
You have to microwave in intervals. Put it in for 30 seconds, stir, then put it back in and stir until you get that consistency! :))
Exactly what Urban Pineapple said! If you are finding it is still lumpy - add a little veggie oil or shortening to thin it out. You want to start with a very small amount because if you add to much it stays tacky.
Living to DIY with Rachel Metz Same problem here, I’ve never been able to get mine to that consistency even with oil.. yours were perfect!
