the first time i heard infected mushrooms i was decently drunk and smoked some weed and i bugged out a bit while spacing out and told my friend to pause it. when he did my vision kind of warped and waved around and settled back down to normal and then he could unpause it. the music sent me on a wave of emotions and minor mind effects.
This shit is melting my face. How is there still harmony and rhythm with so much going on? This has to be some of the most complex editing I have ever heard.
I saw them at the Rawkus in Colorado Springs. I thought it was still part of the Converting Vegetarians 2 tour - but I was so wrong. Heard some of this before the album dropped and thought they were just tearing a live show up. Now back for my 6-7th time to hear this album. Soo good! Get chills at certain parts, much beat, so stellar, wow! Doing a dance.
Wow! So much conversation about IM. All the likes/dislikes, complaints, and comparisons drawn to CV, Vicious Delicious, Black Shawarma, and older IM stuff... People here saying they sold out to dubstep then came back, sold back out to psytrance now after doing CVII, sold this sold that... A true Infected fan knows that every album, they just do whatever the fuck they want and it comes out fucking insanely awesome. If you don't like it now, wait a few years and the shit will grow on you like a fungus. Then you realise, "yes, yet again, this album is another goddamn masterpiece." They never sold out to anything or anyone, they just do whatever! You might not like the new sounds they come out with. Well that's because nobody's used to their stuff when it comes out. It's completely new! They never do the same thing for more than a year. That's how their wheels turn. When you understand this, you will realize Infected never changed. Theyre the same crazy motherfuckers who've been turning the world upside down for the past TWENTY god damn years. All they did was age like a fine wine. True masters of their craft. Fucking legends. Erez, Amit, just keep doing what you do. I'ma sit back and be happy to be alive while it's happening.

I hope they release a sequel to this album like they did with CV. Return to the Sauce 2 is probably higher on my wishlist than CV3, which is saying a lot. I go to sleep hearing Manipulator or Milosh playing in my head, and literally the second I open my eyes in the morning, it’s still playing in my head. These are truly infectious tunes. I cannot get them out of my head! Thanks for the infection. This whole album rocks so fucking hard

I saw Infected Mushroom live at the beginning of December of 2016, and they opened with "Nutmeg". It was the first time I'd heard it, because this album hadn't been released yet, and I remember that the bass was absolutely fucking insane because this wasn't an Infected Mushroom *concert* where they had full instrumentation, it was just Amit and Erez doing a live DJ set in a nightclub in downtown Madison, WI. They also covered a SOAD song later on in the set, but I don't remember which one. Overall, fantastic show. At one point they overloaded the building's power and in doing so shut down the entire stage. Amit came up to the people in the front row and gave a bunch of high-fives, basically saying, "Sorry about the interruption of the set, we'll have shit back up any minute now."

This is one of the examples of "musical literature", where music isn't just a beat or a melody, but a WHOLE COMPLEX SPEECH, with pure-sound-based words and a pack full of _chapters_. I love it!
I hear ya. I make music sometimes, as a bit of hobby. Music that tries to be a little bit like this. If I could make a track like Nutmeg, I'd quite my day job.
One of the best and most talented artists/groups in the world! Every damn song they make sounds like a beautiful piece of art. You just get lost in the music. It's totally amazing! :D
Every time these guys release an album I find myself addicted to it and nothing else! Vegetarians 2 was their magnum opus, their moment in my own personal musical history.. This album gives me the same chills, its amazing that they have returned 'to the sauce', what a masterpiece!. I listen with a producers ear and their production as always blows my mind! I could write ten thousand words on why their production is better than almost anyone elses! They have outdone themselves again! (I wish (ha see what I did there!) they did full length tutorials? I love the studio blogs, but I would pay WELL for a tutorial from the mushrooms!)
Of course Friend on Mushrooms is stronger. It's collaborations, not just about IM music. This album is an amazing throw back to the days of old. I love the newer stuff, Send me an Angel, Serve my Thirst and the entirety of Black Shwarma, but there is always a special place in every old IM fan's heart for The Gathering, Classical Mushroom and CV: Trance side. This album fits perfectly beside those.
Well yes, that's true, but imo this album is good, but not great. What I believe made IM amazing are their vocals, my favorite songs like Becoming Insane, Saeed, Send Me An Angel, I Wish :) and more... I am missing those vocals here, sure there are some in Groove Attack and Demons of Pain but I expecting more. Good album, strong songs, nice touch, but not the best... ps My all time favorite track is Cities of The Future..ah memories :)
I've never liked electronic music, but I clicked on this and let it play while i did other things around the house. I have to say this has got me in a good vibe/mood. I like it !
Yeah me too, I only think Friends on Mushroom as a whole was a bit of a let down (I still liked them all, and some of the tracks a lot, it didn't really felt like a full on experience tho I had with other albums), but other than that one, I am always amazed by everything IM brings out.
Ah when Erez hits the keyboards, and Davdev does his usual fuck about on the mixer, this is where the magic happened back when Infected used to be full on Psy still with HOMeMega and slightly away from rock. We have had the greatest of pleasures to host them at Brixton Academy and a few other places in London! Shabbat Shalom Brothers!!!x Baruch Hashem
I listened to this album when I took acid and I remember when Milosh was playing, there was a part where there was a build up and the lamp was changing to orange as the intensity grew. I remember that specifically
Seeing people criticizing Manipulator, I remember Beethoven and his Große Fuge. As people, always attached to the traditional models of music and composition, could not understand the sound beauty in the complex mismatch of the notes and for that, they hated. They were not ready for that, as many here are not ready (yet) for this revolutionary album. It is simply unlike anything you have ever heard. Again, we are seeing future.
geoff dorfschafer : Nicely said. Everything here is specific and, like, out of space and time. But this art is very melodic and specific on its own, and i like it very much, whichecer the music it is.
It"s been a long time since I'd heard an album that take me from the beginning to the end, to a powerful journey full of emotions ,movement, happiness, excitement trip .. without taking any drugs. Thank You Guys. Love You ❤🧚
Sharon Shapira you raised a martini glass and said without any drugs.....Alcohol is the worst drug. Lsd, psylocibin and mdma are nothing compared to the "sauce"
This is that album i come back to every other month. This is top tier IM from start to finish. Theres not really a whole lot of albums I can listen to from start to finish. But this one takes the cake..
The infected mushroom spore made contact with a creature and it is now infected...That's her swimming in the infection and trying to get out of it, but can't cuz the "spore" has her
This is a psychedelic bomb, I dont know how all that chaos fits in a melodic and emotional perception of senses, IM scores with a monumental album once again 🤯
Wow, this is amazing, their music is something that cannot be described with words. It takes you in some other universe with those nice tunes but at the same time there are other tunes and parts of music that makes shit go wild in your universe...
well about 3 hours in not much happened, colours got brighter and i was intensly happy i took about 10 grams of magic truffels because the smartshop man said that that was a normal dose but not much happened
yea i know but truffles are easy to get here and legal shrooms i need to grow and dry myself or get from a dealer but dealers here dont sell those because truffles are legal
The more I listen, the more I love this album... I find it impossible to name my favorite IM song or album... But... Deeply.. (infected remix and yahel remix... original...) Muse breaks... Shakawkaw (especially live with Mayumana) Jeenge is just so relaxing.... wish they did a few more like it with that heavy bass line. I shine! (with trivia) What does Myristicin have to do with this album?? hehehe ;)
this album is a masterpiece. I got into IM with classical mushroom and then went back to the gathering in 2001. This album for me truly feels like the next step from those albums. I loved tracks from BP Empire and CV when I was younger but they didn't feel like their first 2 albums. I saw them live in 2013 shortly after army of mushrooms (which I wasn't a huge fan of) because I didn't want to miss the opportunity to see such a huge musical influence of mine live, despite not loving the edm-inspired tracks. This is a perfect return to what made IM so special for me, and what I think really helped define and expand the genre. I know that they have to make money too and do what works for them but I hope they follow their hearts and make the music they love regardless. Simply fantastic listen start to finish here.
I’m coming towards the end of this album and I don’t want it to stop. This is INFECTIOUS! I think this will be added and multi played ALOT! Just beautiful music to my large ears 👂🏻

I could write ten thousand words on why their production is better than almost anyone elses! They have outdone themselves again! (I wish (ha see what I did there!) they did full length tutorials? I love the studio blogs, but I would pay WELL for a tutorial from the mushrooms!)
golden ears over here, too :-D yeah, they´re the best out there. All time music history live!
WTF is this sorcery.. Had no idea about this... Well, today will be just an amazing day.
Thank God for the comments section!
They can make me smile, sometimes... :)
listen to Friends on Mushrooms. much stronger imo.
This album fits perfectly beside those.
bukvalno bato :D
I like it !
JoelNoName thats how i started to hear them
JoelNoName And you still have the house? You have some serious self control while listening to the shrooms I'm impressed.
for me its one of the best bands in the world who live right now. great musicians! endless creativity
Why you say this ??? I was listening to IM during harvesting in my farm and it was very engaging.
Another vegetarian converted... Minding the gap since 1996!
dude I thought you tube auto play was Killin it lol did not realize it was playing an album for far to long hahahahaha
Just came back to Infected Mushroom after 5 years. Couldn't have forgot this level of ingenious
Okay so I clicked on this to give it a go on a random whim and this is actually the shit!! I'm really enjoying this!
yessssss, I knew this was gonna be awesome, Infected Mushroom is always the best.
Ikr
Furry Alert
Not always, but this album is better than the last couple.
Yeah me too, I only think Friends on Mushroom as a whole was a bit of a let down (I still liked them all, and some of the tracks a lot, it didn't really felt like a full on experience tho I had with other albums), but other than that one, I am always amazed by everything IM brings out.
Feeling exactly the same here.
anyone else in the mood to chow 2gs and just chill in the garden with this playing?
5 G's please👍😁
Ah when Erez hits the keyboards, and Davdev does his usual fuck about on the mixer, this is where the magic happened back when Infected used to be full on Psy still with HOMeMega and slightly away from rock. We have had the greatest of pleasures to host them at Brixton Academy and a few other places in London! Shabbat Shalom Brothers!!!x Baruch Hashem
Jesus, ive been listening to Infected mushroom for 20 years
One of the best albums out there. Loved it every single second of it
What a masterpiece! Giving me eargasms. The mushroom has really outdone itself again. XD
Welcome to the sauce zone
I listened to this album when I took acid and I remember when Milosh was playing, there was a part where there was a build up and the lamp was changing to orange as the intensity grew. I remember that specifically
OKAY, once again the algorithm serveth me the finest of servings
its a honor to COME here
Seeing people criticizing Manipulator, I remember Beethoven and his Große Fuge.
I know y'all wanna make some music
Manipulator is the name of Infected Mushroom's plugin. Duvdev simply sings 'tatata' all the song and Erez modulates everything!
thats not true, for some reason people tend to think that erez does all the producing behind IM. thats way off reality.
Manipulator is one of my favorites!!!
+Kyle Deckman
It's just an emoticon tight-ass, calm down.
That's gonna be an r/woosh right there.
@@kyledeckman9128 oh my f***ing god🤔
Kyle Deckman worst for some, not for all. It's the same for every drug.
This is that album i come back to every other month. This is top tier IM from start to finish. Theres not really a whole lot of albums I can listen to from start to finish. But this one takes the cake..
I code on infected mushroom in insane speed. Have to replace my melted keyboard over and over.
Thanks, I love your music!
Is that Gandalf and Dumbledore tripping to infected music on the cover ?
I think they're meant to be our master wizards of trance, Amit and Erez. I could be wrong though.
I thought it looks more like Saruman and Gandalf handling the Palantir...
This is Merlin and his reincarnated friend Pikachu.
haha i would say the same about Gandalf plus Saruman hahaha
They're the Wizards from the Nutmeg Song Cover too
something about that little vocal bit at 13:20 really tickles me. Dont know why but it gets stuck in my head.
The infected mushroom spore made contact with a creature and it is now infected...That's her swimming in the infection and trying to get out of it, but can't cuz the "spore" has her
this album is so good and has so many melodies, perfect !!!!
After about 10 years of not listening to Infected Mushroom, it's nice to know that they are no less themselves in the interim
This is a psychedelic bomb, I dont know how all that chaos fits in a melodic and emotional perception of senses, IM scores with a monumental album once again 🤯
Too good, as always
Wow, this is amazing, their music is something that cannot be described with words. It takes you in some other universe with those nice tunes but at the same time there are other tunes and parts of music that makes shit go wild in your universe...
Nerkec you just described it with words.....
this combined with actual shrooms is gonna be fucking amazing i think (update tomorrow)
well about 3 hours in
not much happened, colours got brighter and i was intensly happy
i took about 10 grams of magic truffels because the smartshop man said that that was a normal dose
but not much happened
yea i know
but truffles are easy to get here and legal
shrooms i need to grow and dry myself or get from a dealer but dealers here dont sell those because truffles are legal
you should get a brain before doing mushrooms. an open minded person with no troubles can achieve greatness.
I shine! (with trivia) What does Myristicin have to do with this album?? hehehe ;)
Love this. It help me so much for concentrated on my work, i'm much more productive with this thank you 😆
this album is a masterpiece.
Infected Mushroom are the best electronic band ever.
Cheers =]
Infected Mushroom, once again shows where Psy should be heading.
I’m coming towards the end of this album and I don’t want it to stop. This is INFECTIOUS! I think this will be added and multi played ALOT! Just beautiful music to my large ears 👂🏻
the first track "flamingo" is the most deceptively simple brilliant song i've ever heard in my life. i'm a nerd about super complex songs but that one, just, holy shit
yo, "flamingo" would do for a JSAB level really well, also, thanks for compiling such a great album for us.
PESADA DEMAIS. Saudades quando Infected explodia no BRASIL, volte!!!
This album is fuckng incredible, i have no word for it, maybe the best IM album of all time..
my thoughts x-actly! WICKED!!!!!
Even more than I was hoping for. Every reason to keep being a fan
Unique and specific sound marking them for all these years. :)
