    Omg, thank you!! I am studying in music uni and we are learning extensions 9th, 11th, 13th. and suddenly extensions from mixolydian scale came up and the lecturer skips a lot so I don't understand it. When I watched your video I finally get it!!! Now I can get back watching my lecturer's lessons!

    but why is the 7th flattened?

      Hi Don! The 7th is flattened because that is how you construct the scale. Without the flattened 7 you would simply have a major scale. Does that make sense?

      @@yga isn't the 7th flat because you're simply starting from the fifth or a major scale?
