I just finished the mechanical aspect of of my 97 sti swapped gc. I am buttoning up the interior and then i can focus on prepping it for paint. gotta love how plug and play everything is with subarus
Wrong. 1. I can clearly see the sunroof in the videos. Which is a dead giveaway this is an 1998-2001 2.5rs. 2. The seat pattern on the passenger seat and the door cards is called "tiger stripe" 2.5rs seats, which is ONLY ON THE 1998 2.5RS MODELS. 3. Ontop of his 2.5rs being an actual rs, the green color combination or the car, is intact extremely rare. Less than 250 were made in this color in 1998. Before you assume his car is an "L" model, might want to check your surroundings first.
@@smokeitd2 thank you for clarifying that, I wasn’t sure about what a LSTI was. I’ve heard about these being considered a RSTI and that’s what the owner called it. I’m not a Subaru guy I just thought it was neat to show on my channel.
Awesome vid! I got a ride along at a Subaru sponsored Auto-X event back in 08, when I got of the car my legs buckled and had a smile from ear to ear, lol. After that, I knew I wanted that swap in my RS. Took little over 10yrs, but I at least have the powertrian now.
