Well shoot!!!! I’ve been trying all sorts of crap trying to track down the source of what I thought was boot pain…. But I’ve been riding A8s and had a sneaking suspicion the straps might be a problem. Esp since I ride aggressively in moguls and chop. And here you guys are verifying what I’ve been experiencing. Maybe time to switch over to a Salomon quantum or other freeride binding with a more thoughtful interface

Yeah their straps remind me of Union a decade ago. Lots of people, including myself complained about them and they changed them. I really wish they had wider straps for the more responsive bindings. Anyone know if the small ankle strap is somehow more compatible with ride's tongue tied boot tech? maybe the boot and binding would work together better? Was interested these bindings until I saw this vid.. now I am skeptical. I have that issue with soft boots but I am switching to a medium boot this season.

It didn't work well with my Ride Fuse or the Lasso when I had them when I was in uneven snow.

I want to love these bindings but the toe straps worry me. Everyone seems to complain about them.

I would worry about the ankle strap too if you like support in uneven snow. That was the deal breaker for us. If they changed out the straps it would be a great all conditions binding.
