@@MacInVR I'm using a C922 an overhead led + 1 front ring light but I'll have to pick up another light then. I'll see what happens if i use a lamp. I also have to "align" myself with the game, was using beatsaber as a test but it's like I'm watching from the sidelines.
Are you filming yourself or have you tried avatars? Avatars give you much more freedom. I've been thinking about doing a mixed reality, LIV and avatar video for a while now 🤔
@@MacInVR the intent will be for livestreaming my VR, especially in the long run when I get my full tracking kit in. For now I'm trying to basically recreate what you did with pistol whip but it's putting me elsewhere.
I've had this set up before LIV was all that mature. I went to set it up recently and couldn't get it. Now I'm about to move, but I'm going to save this video for when I'm ready to set it all back up as you've got it down and simple. Cheers!
yeah thanks for this video I can finally decide that the quest is not yet ready for my needs, expert plus is something I like doing and if the quest can't keep up on steam VR wirelessly, then I will need to go with the Rift S it will keep up with all the games i want to play including beat saber.
Thank you for your insights. I wish there would be actually a tutorial for other titles besides the usual suspects Beat Saber, Pistol whip and Synth Riders. Because everything else, its seems, i cant get to work correctly or at least at a level that looks o. k. Basically a "best of settings" for different titles. For example i would love to get The Wizards to work, but somehow it seems i cant find any useable perspectve even with playspace rotation and different FOVs. Same goes for Racket NX. And none of the "maybe supported titles" work for me.
I struggled to get MRC working and got LIV up and running with very little effort. Lots of parameters to tweak plus drag and drop avatar support. It's a great app and the people who run LIV are very helpful over on their discord channel
@@MacInVR Sat down to set it up and found on the LIV discord that they closed the Quest Beta version. I did sign up for the notifications. I will just have to wait.
Open steam, go to library, right click on LIV, click properties, betas then ios_quest_beta (or similar). If there is then a short download you might be able to sneak into the beta 😀
I’m going all the way back! Good stuff!
Oh wow, these were some of my very 1st videos 🤩
Loved the no extra bullshit and straight to the point. Pardon my french. Now I just gotta figure out the fuzzyness or noise, might need another light.
Lighting is crucial, light the green screen and subject separately. Are you using a Webcam?

Sounds like a calibration problem?
This was great!
Thanks for this level of detail!
Hey you’re awesome great tutorial!
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it 😀
@@MacInVR just uploaded my first highlight video. Couldn’t have done it without your help mate. Thank you.
Glad I could help 😊

Cheers for that, you can also follow LIV on discord for any problems you encounter 🙂
Nice tutorial!! Thanks
No problem, are you doing mixed reality for your own channel?
looking good
Been going a month now, when are you getting your Quest?

Totally agree and am jealous of your Beat Saber ninja skills 🙂

Do you have any LED lights in your playspace? LED's play havoc with base station tracking 🤔
I've tried Oculus MRC. I would like to see how LIV goes. I'm curious at how different they are.

Your video convinced me to try it out. Tomorrow that is the plan. I will try to remember to let you know how it goes.
Any problems you hit, post up here and I'll try to help 😀

Does it work with the oculus quest?
Yes it does, check out this video here for a walkthrough of how to get it up and running.
