Please forgive me for being away for so long, like i said August 23rd is the last day of my Summer term and then you will see me ALOT MORE!! I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!
I really enjoy Dragon Attack. There is a concert version, Milton Keynes, that Dr. Brian May breaks a string on his guitar so our bass king John Deacon holds down the rhythm until Brian gets his back up.
Queen had so many different sides to them! Freddie had an album with an opera singer that is absolutely out of this world. If you get a chance check out "It's Late" by them. It is a deep cut that was overshadowed by other hits. I think best was in the 70's but they did have great one's in the 80's though. Just my opinion. Thanks for the reaction.
Not one of their most memorable songs . But the thing that always inspired and amazed me about Queen, is , that no matter what they did . They did it with uncompromising style , and technical excellence.
John Deacon (bass) said this was his favorite song to perform live. The live version of this song is really great. Brian May (guitar) wrote this one which explains the heavy bass & guitar, I suppose. Live each member gets a good solo on this song. It is hard to remember the names of all the members of all the bands. There is no best run with Queen they just kept evolving.
I saw Queen in Toronto in 1980 and had no complaints.😁They were terrific then and no doubt always. For bass I think "Breakthru" and "Invisible Man" are terrific. The best bass is likely "Millionaire Waltz" but there are no good videos. Roger and John were the solid rhythm section that were the canvas that allowed Brian and Freddie to paint their picture.
IMO Queen peaked in 1976 with "A Day at the Races" album. There were great albums before and after this, but it is my all-time favourite. This track is such a banger, written by Brian May, my favourite composer in the band. This one is funk rock. Yes, it was definitely the right version - original studio version from the album. Thanks man. 👍
Hey MDreeezy... thanks for a beautiful reaction to my favorite band... I love to see the youngsters appreciating great music when you hear it... this 70+ old lady has been listening to these genius musicians for over 50 years now, and I can tell you ALL of their music is A+... listen to their early music, "Ogre Battle", "My Fairy King", especially "Liar" to hear a sampling of their individual talents highlighted... truly amazing.... then there is "White Queen" and the prequel to BoRhap was "March of the Black Queen"... another favorite of mine is Brian's "The Prophet's Song", a beautiful rendition of the story of Noah's Ark and the great flood... and everybody's favorite "Love of My Life", a genuine classic... As most bands, the longer they play together, the tighter they get, like a family... and the more they played together, the better they got. They evolved along with the world, and we all enjoyed the diversity, the transitions and the harmonies... BTW, they are the only band that sings and writes songs in multiple languages... all four have each written multiple #1 hits for the band... and they were all college graduates... Freddie was an artist/designer and created the Queen logo, John has a master's degree in Electronics and created "the Deacy Amp", a special amp Brian uses to create all the special sounds of other instruments (listen to "Seaside Rendezvous"), Brian is an astrophysicist and has worked with NASA and StarFleet (British equivalent to NASA) and was recently knighted by King Charles, and Roger was a biologist and premed major before devoting his life to music... Brian and Roger both also have extensive solo career discographies definitely worth a listen... AND they have been known to use children in their music videos ("The Miracle" and "The Invisible Man")... That's why they are ALL LEGENDS... Sorry I get carried away writing books, I love this band so much... BTW, I subbed in hopes of hearing more... blessings.
Roger on drums, John on bass, Brian on guitar. And both Roger and Brian can also sing. Roger has a fantastic voice, although we don't hear him on lead very often. I'm in Love With My Car is one.
Queen ll in 1974. A Night At The Opera(Masterpiece) in 1975. New of the World (Masterpiece) in 1977. The Game (Masterpiece) in 1980. All these albums and the songs on these albums were Masterpieces. Brilliant. So, I think the best of Queen was 1974 to 1980. Great reactions. Keep up the good work and continue to grow and improve yourself inside and out!!! Bye.
Pausing is ok, but you have to remember to REWIND IT A BIT before continuing! All too often I’ve seen pauses at a really bad time and they totally miss the impact of a transition. There’s a flow to music and you gotta go back and get into the flow!
Yeah . . . be good to yourself . . react to their 'concert performance' of this Queen masterpiece....Montreal I'm thinking. Smilin' over you straightening up errors re the names......finally getting it right! All the best to you....

It's great seeing you, and I completely understand. Take care of yourself. We will be here.

It does...the song does remind you of a Led Zeppelin song....This is Queen in the 80's.....very heavy!!!
