Sooooo incredibly powerful this episode was for me. And incredibly timely. I could relate soooo much to both of you, Nicole and Jenna and I wrote a really heartfelt letter to Little Michele as a result (through tears). I feel so much lighter and compassionate for myself and my circumstances with the understanding of my triggers and the opportunities for growth that have presented. Thank you for these episodes, the amazing Twitter posts, the beneficial book exercises (How To Meet Your Self), and the support and sustenance of Self Healers Circle! You guys are amazing and you make a difference in my life!! Super grateful to continue on my growth and healing journey!

Just ordered the workbook. This is all new to me but what I’ve been doing my whole life isn’t bringing me peace or satisfaction. Seems like a long tough road but for the first time in my 49 years of existence it seems possible. Thank you Nicole and Jenna.

I'm so grateful I found Lilas, the yoga teacher on public tv when I was a little girl. My dad died traumatically when I was ten. I couldn't sleep at night I started doing the yoga Nidra she had taught in the floor at night. I got away from it for a while but finally came back to it. Connecting with my body in more compassionate ways has saved me. It has become my life's work to help others with the practices of yoga. Thank you for all you share. It's a journey! Your support helps me and so many others!

Thanks for this beautiful talk. It felt so intense. Also i read so many books but it still is so hard to model this in my daughter by example as i feel so threatened when exposed to uncomfortable feelings. Nicole mentioned this “tolerance of feeling discomfort” and still teaching herself to do it - my daughter is three and I sometimes can’t help but have fest based or overwhelm based anger flare ups and i manage them much faster now within seconds or minutes as i dis a lot of work the past years even long before her arrival worked on it - and still i would be so thankful from experts like you would the real child before it becones her inner child needs to be comfortable with her feelings like anger fear pain wounded moments and disconnet. I know she feels a lot if safety with me and her father and we are super present and she is allowed mistakes and we laugh stuff off and we are doing well but for example my anger of my own pain and trauma and inner child scare her and i try to explain and apologize as soon as i get to snap out of it (super quick by now, but still..) but what would be practical ways to strengthen allt hat in her? Thank yoh so so much for this

Thank you so much for this podcast. I just came to the idea that I have an inner child this morning and that she deserves to be seen heard and exposed. Looking forward to healing my inner child and releasing but as you describe I know it won’t be pain free. This was so helpful.

Very interesting.. to try and learn how to tolerate discomfort. I really struggle with this.. if I made a mistake or heaven forbid if someone would tell me off.. its the end of my emotional world and I have to super over think. Never saw that as a dissociation. Will definitely try and sit with it next time.. struggle with over thinking.. journalling really help. I will write the letter I have the work book.. thank you.. feel your support. 🥰😘😁

Thank you. What would it look like to have 30 min max episodes? Closing with a pause, breath, and a prompt? There is so much here that its so easy to zone out.

Thank you for watching Bhavisha Patel! Some episodes do lean towards the 30 minute mark. We allow them to ebb and flow with whatever the conversation and understand that it may be helpful to pause and revisit. ♥️♥️

If you are currently under a roof with a parent who does light physical abuse as a form of discipline but very rarely when things get charged eg like once after 2/3 years and there is verbal abuse from my side. Can I still set boundaries and work on inner child?
