Oh how lovely that you came to Islington. Albeit a few years back. Have you come back since? Loop is a lovely yarn shop and I grew up just a five minute walk from there. As I look after dad a few days a week (in my childhood home)I will often have a walk up to Camden passage in the Angel as I have been since I was little. We have quite a few book shops around here too. Please do come back to visit. Love your channel 💗
I loved this video! It’s so nice that you combine chats with outings - a real treat for someone not in London. Although you’re focussed on books, I would love to see a video about your clothing style too :)
Dear Miranda, I really enjoyed your day, It was like I was there with you picking your beautiful presents and talking about knitting and how useful it is ! Thank you very much my dear, keep telling us your stories !
I really enjoyed this video, and your book recs. I am actually re-reading KNITTING YARNS because it is one of my happy places & since I am reading such hard-hitting books, it's stories help me get in a better mood. I'll listen to your podcast and the interview, because I'm really interested in THE GOLDEN FLEECE. I'm going through all of your videos, & am falling in love with everything you are recommending. I feel like you represent perfectly my tastes. Thank you so much for your videos. ;)
OMG I went to this shop a couple of years ago and just loved it. I do not knit, I crochet. 🧶This vid made me want to be in London. I really like your videos.
😀💕xx I’m thrilled that you are a knitter Miranda. I have the book this Golden Fleece. I’m really enjoying watching your vlogs whilst knitting. I have an extensive knitting book collection, mostly used and have some of the books you showed.
Loved this Miranda, thank you. Ann Hood has edited another book of essays on knitting - Knitting Pearls. And a novel too called The Knitting Circle. All highly recommended! Elizabeth
Hi Miranda. I like to crochet, so the yarn shop was lovely! I would have spent a fortune! Can't wait to see what you make, so please share your progress. Lovely video!!!
Loved this! I’ve also read Esther’s book and enjoyed it tremendously. And Purls of Wisdom is a treasured book too. I also love Laine and am delighted that it’s starting up again! I also love how so many of my favourite writers from the mid-20th century mention knitting frequently; Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Pym, Angela Thirkell etc...
I loved Rutter’s book! I just reviewed it on my channel along with Vanishing Fleece. I can’t wait to go listen to your interview! Your knitting project is going to be lovely.
