My little sister and I are 2 years apart and these stories make me so nostalgic!! Girls close in age get into so much trouble I swear 😂😭 I remember my sister was 6, I was 8 and she asked me to check her closet for monsters before she went to bed. I opened the closet door and went “OH NO! Yeah, they’re definitely in there.” And left. She SCREAM cried and refused to sleep in her room for MONTHS. I did it on purpose because I wanted a reason to have “sleepovers” in my room, and we did! Because she wouldn’t go anywhere near her room lmaooooooo
When me and my best friend were around 9 years old we were having a “fashion show” where one of us would go into her closet and put something crazy on and the other would announce us as we came out. Well it was very late and the whole house was sleeping and we were being very loud, it was my friends turn to put an outfit on and as I’m standing on her dresser announcing “HERE SHE IS..” her dad busts in. She came strutting out of her closet COMPLETELY NAKED traumatizing her dad. I couldn’t help but bust out laughing and he ended up sending me home and had to take a break from sleepovers. Unforgettable. Iconic.

I think I was 14 and me and my friend decided to steal my parents car in the middle of the night. I turned on the dishwasher and dryer to cover up the noise of us sneaking out and starting the car. We drove all over town and when were coming back I drove really slow pass the house to see if any lights were on and when i did that I drove off the side of the road and the car started to come to a stop. We were freaking out and trying to figure out why the car stopped. I thought maybe we ran out of gas. So we walked back to the house to look in the shed for gas and as we were walking back to the car with the gas a police officer was pulling up the driveway. She asked if that was our car and I told her yes and that we weren’t old enough to drive . She then told me to go wake up my parents. It’s probably 3am at this point. I went into my parents room woke them up and in one breath said... we snuck out of the house, stole your car, crashed it and there’s a police officer downstairs waiting for you! And then I ran into my room.
So it turned out I ripped the whole fuel line out and the gas that we were carrying down to put in the car was boat gas and was mixed with oil my dad said the car would have blown up! 🤷♀️ I’m almost 40 and will never live that moment down 🤦♀️

My punishment was all my money I was saving for a car when I turned 16 had to go towards fixing my parents car. No tv, and definitely no sleepovers for a long time

The one time I got in trouble the most was when I skipped the last week of middle school. I barely had any friends, and just wanted to get the fuck out of there. BUT, I did it pretty responsibly! I lied to all my teachers saying that I was going to Hawaii during the last week of school, so I could finish all my assignments beforehand. So, my school and classmates all thought I was going to Hawaii. THEN, I told my parents when the last day of school was and even printed out a 'letter' from my school (I put the school logo and principal's signature as well to make it seem more legit). The letter also said that summer school was gonna start the week that I was planned to be off, so my parents didn't question why there were still kids going to school in the morning, they just assumed it was for summer school. The plan worked, I was off for that last week of school, but I ended up telling them out of guilt and they were furious at me. To this day though, my parents still think it was a very well thought out plan. ;)

I’ve been going through the scariest health issues for over 3 months and I have felt so depressed from it, being so down sometimes I can’t watch the mile higher podcast past the intro topics because the true crime/murder stuff makes me sad. So i’m really thankful you guys made this podcast so lighthearted and fun. Especially since we lost the jenna and julien podcast 😢 i’ve had less podcasts to listen to and when i’m depressed that’s usually what comforts me when i’m doing mundane tasks or trying to distract myself from pain. Thanks ladies please keep making these as long as possible 💕

My story involved the cops. 🙈😂
I was in 5th or 6th grade, so let me just say I didn't think so much time passed.
I was in the library because we had reading time or something like that so here I was, with my genius idea to hear music w/ earphones on while I read. Didn't know the bell rang TWICE so it was the last two classes before we go home. So my last teacher told the attendance/principals office that I wasn't in class which was weird because she saw me earlier. Long story short SHE FREAKED. The whole school did & went all over the intercom to call me if I was anywhere in the school to go to the principals office.
Of course, I NEVER HEARD JACK. They even called my parents/the emergency numbers to see if anyone picked me up or something just to make sure. Eventually school was done & the police was at the school, the squad people that search for criminals to search the school fully. Bruhhhh.
I was STILL in the library reading, listening to the music. Oblivious to everything going on. Then I saw the janitor from afar cleaning...I was like oh, school is done. So I just got up & the school was in a chaos searching for a girl I was like, crap! Hope they find her. Then dudeeee I passed through the halls, principals office & they were searching the cars, EVERYTHING. Even a helicopter was around the school. Then I heard, my name being called & it was my friend from my last class. WHEN I TELL YOU EVERYONE LOOKED AT ME. Bruh. My parents, my aunt & uncle RAN, BOLTED to me. My mom & my aunt were a crying mess. 😭 I didn't know what was going on so yeah, eventually they explained everything to me & I explained everything to them. Long story short, I was "found & unharmed" & the staff at my school, the police, the squad people weren't "mad" per say but felt so happy I was okay, unharmed or kidnapped. It was also on the evening/night news but didn't say the name, school or anything about my parents. Thank goodness nothing bad happened, but my family apologized for what happened but they all understood. Thank goodness ×2 I wasn't kidnapped of course

And I can understand getting lost in a book type of trance. I was such a bookworm, especially in elementary school, and when you are also listening to music at the same time, it’s so easy to lose track of time because you’re just vibin’. I can definitely understand how that happened! Sounds like you got the “I’m so glad you’re okay, but please be more attentive next time and please don’t scare us like that ever again” type of talk. Lol.

When My cousin and I were about 5 playing in my grandmothers garden my boy cousin said to me, “have you ever peed on a flower? Peeing outside is so relaxing you need to try it !” And I said “right now? Ok but you have to promise to bring me toilet paper” he agreed. I pulled my shorts and underwear down and peed on my grandmothers garden but all of a sudden I felt like I had to poop so couldn’t hold it and pooped on my grandmothers garden. I asked my cousin for toilet paper and he said “peace!” And dipped! So I started crying and yelling for my mom and she found me crying squating on the garden. So embarrassing lol.

My youngest sister used to create so much mess at bath time. She used to sit on the head end of the bathtub and slide into the water, creating a tidal wave over the bath. LOL I walked in one time to check on her and was like "What the hell are you doing?" She told me she was at Quay West (a waterpark in Devon UK. Now called Splashdown) LOL I had to laugh. Very creative of her. We still laugh about it to this day.

I was watching Hannah Montana painting my toe nails RED!
And I dropped nail polish on our new carpet and I didn’t know what to do so I started cutting the carpet with scissors 😂😂
There was a GIANT hole in the middle of the room so I grabbed the welcome mat that we had in the front and brought it upstairs lmfao.
My mom was soooo upset haha
The stain was still there after cutting it btw 😂

My sister and I were probably about 14 and 11 when we decided on a camping trip to take the car for a drive while our parents were asleep. We thought it best to turn the headlights off to not wake our parents or neighboring campers when all of a sudden the grass field that we were driving across seemingly fell out from under us. That is when we discovered there was a canal there. We were able to somehow quickly back the car out and decided to return the car before we got caught. Next morning in the daylight there was clear evidence of our shenanigans by a large clump of sod hanging out from the front bumper and clear missing sod patch and tire marks at the canal. Turns out we weren't cut out for the crime life. 😂

Childhood story: I’m the oldest of four and my siblings are 5 years, 9 years, and 12 years younger than me. My mom use to leave me home to take care of them A LOT. And my brother (9 years younger) was a reeeeal asshole kid, but also my moms favorite. Well one time I was taking care of all of them and that same brother poured hot wax on the carpet in my sister (12 years younger)‘s room. I was so mad and knew that I’d be the one in trouble and not him so I told my other siblings and they helped me duck tape him to a tree outside. (We lived in FL and it was July😏)
Teenage Story: We use to take for-sale signs out of people’s yards and put them in different people’s yards & we also use to switch election signs.😏 it was fun lol

Lohanthony's return makes me really sad. I've always struggled with my identity, and it's gotten much better for me as of late, but seeing this just saddens me so much. Religion works for some people, but it never worked for me, and for me personally, letting go of religion helped me accept myself.
I hope for the best for him, but this was really upsetting to hear about.

Honestly, thank you for sharing your experience w your grandma and her alzheimer. My father has been diagnosed with early-onset alzheimers in an age of 53, and honestly its been so hard to handle. Thanks for bringing the mood and vibes up, and keeping in real and positive! Love you two 🥺

I'm from Germany so I can't relate to the easy bake oven nostalgia but it looks so cool and fun, I would've loved it as a kid 🥺
I want to share a story from when I was a kid where I got in really big trouble too! So I was always a really good kid. I had straight A’s and perfect attendance my entire time I was in school. K-12. But this one time I got in huge trouble at home because I was always the one to host parties and sleepovers for my friends. And one of my favorite things to do was pretend that I owned a spa. So I would give my friends massages and do their nails and stuff. And i would mix all my perfumes together to make a new one. And back in the 90’s, bath and body works used to have a kids line of things they sold called, “Art Stuff.” There was roll on body glitter and shaving cream and fancy lotions. So my best friend was over, and I was going to give her a facial. So I took a wash cloth and put seriously 20 different soaps and sprays and shaving cream on it. And then I was gonna push it onto her face. But at the last second, she went “Wait!” And opened her eyes. So all the soap went directly into her eyes and she was screaming. And then I was screaming and my mom came in and we had to help her wash all the soap out of her eyes. And it was up her nose and burning her nostrils. And call her mom to explain why her eyes were all irritated. We were probably 7 or 8 at the time. And I kept screaming, “Please God kill me now! Just strike me down!” It was a whole mess. And I thought my parents were going to be way angrier than they were at me for doing t to her. But my mom was like, nope. It takes two to tango.
Anna's randomness WhoCares Oh I’ve always been way harder on myself than my parents ever were on me. They were upset about having to call her mom and tell her what happened. But I’ve always had extreme guilt about doing anything wrong or hurting anyone by accident.
Aww :( when my grandma was on hospice for Alzheimer’s is was sooo stressful I ended up getting sooo sick from stress. I’ll pray for you and your family. Love you ladies ❤️ stay strong.

So, I was like 9 and I used to play games on websites on the internet. I entered my usual website but it was under maintenance, so I googled the name of the game and I entered another website (which was... not safe, to say the least lmao). So I was playing and then, I hit a pop-up and it went directly to a lesbian porn website. I was SHOCKED and I literally didn’t understand nothing and I was so scared I closed it and I started crying. 🤣 Good thing I was alone at my house and I knew how to delete my website’s history lmao.

Great episode! I can remember going around my neighborhood as a kid and cutting flowers from people's gardens with my sister and friend. Then we would try going door to door selling them in those glass Starbucks drinks bottles 🤣🤣 I don't think we ever got in trouble but I don't think we made any money either.. It was a simpler time 🤣
So my first experience finding “that” I was in late elementary school and with my whole family at my aunt & uncles house for a party. A few of the kids were playing downstairs in the basement and I went to find a movie to turn on and I came across an entire bin of VHS tapes... a whole ass bin full! Lol I was so confused and shocked but I couldn’t resist digging through until my older sister came over and caught me😂

Omg when I was little my granny used to babysit us, me, my sister & my cousin. My cousin & I are the same age, I’m 1 month older, almost down to the extract 30 days, I’m June 8 & he’s July 7. So we were more like siblings than cousins. We LOVED when our Granny watched us. She would let us do just about anything we wanted. Our parents would get so mad at us & get after us & my little granny who was in her mid to late 70’s would tell them “Oh you just leave them alone.” One of our FAV things we’d do (& my granny would help us with it 😂) was fill up a bucket with water & LOTS of soap. We would pour the bucket out in the hall & run across the floor to slide in our socks 😂. She told us “it’s fine, you’re helping me mop” so we honestly thought we were helping her. Our parents would show up to pick us up & they would get SO mad at us. My poor granny would have to use SO many towels to clean up the water, then she would get her mop to soak up the rest, then have to remop her floor bc we always did this AFTER she would mop 😂. As a child it was SO fun! As an adult I would be getting after my kids 😂

Okay this was such a good and funny episode 😂 I definitely had similar experiences when I was first really learning how to use Google and all of its possibilities 😂😂😂 it started with me googling weird yahoo questions then I read people talking about all the adult things I didn't know about and I looked into it 😂😂 i felt the same way, guilty but very intrigued. My parents found it and were basically like lol wtf don't do that, but I honestly for some reason didn't think other people had similar experiences, I was always really ashamed about it. I'm glad you guys decided to include it! 😁💕
